When I bought my PS3 back in 2010, the original LBP was one of the games that came with the system, along with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, and although I didn't see the appeal at first, I eventually beat the game and really enjoyed it. I first played LBP 2 as a demo at a game shop and I honestly was kinda underwelmed at how similiar it was to the first one, so I didn't pick it up when it came out. I later saw this special edition that was about to come out, and I decided to pre-order it, seeing how it was only £20.00. The game arrived day one as always and I popped it in, and here's my thoughts on LBP2.Plot:The world of LittleBigPlanet is attacked by a mysterious vaccum cleaner-like creature called the Negativitron, and begins to rain terror upon the place. Luckily, Sackboy is saved by a old man called Larry Da Vinci, the leader of a team of people called the Alliance, who tells Sackboy that he is the only one who can stop the Negativitron and bring peace to LittleBigPlanet and Larry's home of CraftWorld. ...Yeah, the plot is a bit cliche, but at least it makes sense, unlike the first game's story mode. The other member's of the Alliance are also entertaining, those members being Victoria Von Bathysphere, an baker/inventor who Larry is cuckoo over, Clive Handworth, the cowardly manager of the Sackbot factory, Avalon Centrifuge, the boastful and cocky, yet entertaining, owner of the training facility, Eve Silva Paragorica, the caretaker of Eve's Asylum, and Dr. Herbert Higginbotham, a wacko nutjob that got infected by the Negitivitron's minions. All the characters are likeable in their own way, and each have a charm to them.Gameplay:Ah, Gameplay, the core part of any game. And LittleBigPlanet 2 excels in this department. The LBP series is a series of 2.5D platformers where you can customize literally anything. The game plays like any other sidescrolling platformer, but with some nifty puzzle elements thrown in, making it quite unique in that aspect. The game also has other gameplay mechanics, such as throwing giant cakes to open a path, and using a special helmet that shoots anything from water to electricity to even cows. Yes, cows. This game has already won me over, but let's continue. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention that there's 4 player co-op off and online for story and online mode? No? Well then...Online:The main selling point of LittleBigPlanet is the online mode, which allows you to create your own levels and allow anyone across the globe to play the levels you created. Heck, there's already about 8.5 million levels online last time I checked. As for the co-op, it plays similiar to games like New Super Mario Bros Wii and U, Rayman Origins and the soon to come Legends, Kirby's Return To Dreamland, etc. and can be picked up and played by anybody. You can even meet up online without having to smell your friend's farts. I'm sure this'll keep anybody quite hooked to the game for a while, I'm sure.Music:I absolutely love video game music, and LBP 2 has some of my all time favourite music tracks ever in a video game. Just look up the soundtrack on Youtube and hear for yourself. Some of my favourite songs include: Victoria's Lab, Ghosts, What We've Been Waiting For, and Avalonia.Of course, much like every game, there are some flaws here and there. I'll list some personal complaints off.If you want to customize, you have to unlock practically everything in the Story Mode, which can be tedious. The Story Mode itself you most likely won't touch ever again except for maybe the mini-games, which are quite addictive. If you're a trophy whore like myself, then prepare to spend the next few months with this game, as it's almost impossible to get the Platinum Trophy without that much time. The load times for online can be quite lengthy, usually being around 20 seconds to load a level.Overall though LittleBigPlanet 2 is an excellent game, and one of the best PS3 games, if not one of the best games this generation. You're getting so much for such a small amount of money, you'd be insane not to get this.Pros:4 co-op off and onlineAn entertaining Story Mode with some addictive mini-gamesA stellar soundtrackOver 8.5 million levels to play onlineBeautiful presentationCons:Long load times onlineAlmost impossible to get Platinum TrophyHaving to unlock everything in Story Mode to be able to customizeOutside of the mini-games, you'll most likely ever touch the Story Mode after you beat itOverall score: 9/10

Mandatory game if you have a PS3. Good for kids, great with friends, even great when you plan a party and everyone is drunk... YEAAAH! Great game, graphics and the DLC included is worth as much as the game if you buy it in the PS Store. The DLC works with LBP Vita and LBP Karting as well so that's even better.

I ordered this game having previously purchased Little Big Planet as a gift for a my fiancés 6 year old boy. He loves both games as do the 4 other children of the family with ages ranging from 9 to 17 boys and girls. LBP2 is (I'm told) harder than LBP however just as much fun. Totally recommend this game.

Bought as a Christmas present for my son, and he loves it! Makes a change from the shoot and kill type games that most boys want to play these days, but my 13 year old likes it, so I am more than happy!

I understand English but I would like to change the characters voices and subtitles to portuguese and I can't. It wasn't very clear in the description but it is a very good game.
