So ages ago, I was poor, and my headset broke. I searched on amazon for a random cheapo set, and found these. After ~8 hours a day, wearing them all the time, my ears kinda hurt. The headset can be a little small. This changes with age, though, as I run about 12 hour days now, and have no adverse effects. The sound is as good as it can be. The headset is actually let down by the (minimal) line noise from my onboard sound, so I can't tell exactly how good they are.The mic quality is extremely surprising, for the price. My voice, my television, and the neighbours' arguments about infidelity are all clear on the PC. I did a bit of voiceover work through them at one point too,and with a little noise removal help from Audacity, it was almost as if I'd gone to a studio.By far the most impressive thing about them, though, is that they're actually Jesus. After maybe 6 months of hard use, the set would get very finicky about where the wire was positioned. If it wasn't just right, I'd lose all sound in the right can. That kinda sucked, until maybe 2 months later (hey, I'm still poor), the problems just stopped. I haven't had any since, and it's been a good year. They're not closed, though, so you can hear things from the outside, but you can turn your music up appreciably high with little distortion, and drown them out.I highly recommend these to anyone on a budget, or anyone not a fan of USB audio such as in the Lifechat LX-3000. The microphone quality far outstrips the SteelSeries Sibera V2, which I was considering, shortly after my birthday.

I've been using these headphones for six and a half years now, after having two more flimsy headsets break in the space of a year. Three years after purchase, the connection where the wire meets the base of the left headphone started to cause crackling, so I called in the lifetime warranty. Koss's UK distributor repaired them for a £5 shipping fee, and at this point they're pretty much as good as new except that the cushions are starting to wear out.I'm no sound quality connoisseur, but it's good enough that I miss it when using anything cheaper. They're comfortable, and the folding feature is useful occasionally (though if you're looking for portability, you could do much better). If you're looking for reliable,long-lasting headphones without spending too much, these are for you.

My only complaint is that I have to repurchase a set every year since the audio cable gets loose and starts cutting out sound. Mic is clear great for skype calls between friends and family, or casual gaming; though not something I would recommend for serious podcasters, video bloggers, or streamers. It's good enough for beginners getting their toes wet, but it'll create a lot of work in sound editing. If you want a pro mic I'd go with the Yeti.I bought this because of the external noise cancelling feature and given the number of heart attacks I've had from not hearing something come into my office, it does the job nicely :)Also like the mic add-on and the USB plug (makes life so much easier)

After reading the 'blunose' review and realizing that it probably was the same as an entry in the 'Elecraft Digest' I went ahead and bought a pair to run with my Elecraft K3 radio transceiver. This costs about 20% that of a dedicated 'radio' headset and albeit slightly flimsier is just as good. I would suggest that the lead is cable tied around the rubbery outlet to provide greater strength against being pulled out and broken. This is not a critism of the headset - just a pragmatic suggestion that applies to all headphones. Highly recommended.

This was a pretty good quality headset. The folding nature of this headset means that stresses put on it by handling it or abusing it day to day (child proofing) are suprisingly well thought out as the heatset folds up vertically (by the arms on the size aduster) and horizontally (on the earpieces) this means that it will last longer that the way more expensive digital gaming headset I had originally which fell apart as it was made rigid with no give in the joins like this one.

I'm using my headset with an FT857D amateur radio transceiver. The headset works well and I get good reports of audio quality. I like the mic boom as it allows the mic to be positioned correctly in front of your mouth. It can also be swung up to let you take a mouthful of coffee then swung back down into exactly the same position without any fiddling. BTW the microphone seems to be dynamic, which is useful in non-PC applications as the headset needs no DC power.

The build is very good. Comfort is also very good, mic work well. The sound quality is good, above average.I wish the earpads were deeper with mora padding, also that would provide more sound isolation, as they are only good in that department, not great. The sound signature is very nice and pleasant, slight emphasis on voice clarity - so as a headset they work well. For music, they are ok, but not amazing.

I bought these headphones primarily to use with speech recognition software, and I'm pleased to report they perform very well in this area, with the microphone picking up words accurately. Sound reporoduction and bass are good. The headphones are a little tight on the head and ears and can feel a little uncomfortable after a while, but then again, I do have a big head, so it may not be a problem for others:-)

This headset kicks ass!Sound is amazing, better than my 2,1 speakers and the microphone is perfectly natural. Normally when you hear your own voice, it sounds weird, but not on these! Sure they can feel a bit claustrophobic after a couple of hours, but you get used to them. The cord also has a good length and I do everything with these - all from playing games to listening to audio books.Very recomended.

These headphones from Koss are a great buy - they have a very nice sound, with a stress on bass and a microphone. They are ideal for online gaming and VoIP telepohny. However, for some ears they might be a bit uncomfortable after 4-5 hours of wearing them as they have closed shells. Nevertheless, I would definitely buy them again!

These are such a comfortable pair of around-ear headphones that are nicely weighted. The audio quality is good; although I'm no audiophile and haven't stretched them to the limits, they've it's always sounded pleasing. I bought it for the mic, and have happily replaced my Sennheiser HD202 with these.

Received these headphones today. Love them. I'm going to use them to listen to the music at my desk. And they seem perfect for that: very comfortable, rich clear sound, long cord, look nice. I don't use the mic, so I just left it in upright position and don't notice it.

Reception is very good although the overall build quality is a little suspect. The two securing screws at each side to tighten the folding mechanism are really not up to the job. I daren't tighten too much. Overall; very good apart from the latter.

Looking for a good quality headset for use with my PC as my existing ones were overdue for replacement I found these. Good sound and microphone, comfortable to wear and a good price. As usual Amazon came up with the goods and delivery was quick.

I needed a headset for my Icom 7610 so I thought I would give this a try. Works well and is comfortable. If you buy one for a Icom 7300 or 7610 you will need an adaptor and also do not bias the mic or you will blow it up.
