I made the decision to purchase this card based on EOSHD's recommendation and what I read on Magic Lantern forums. I wanted to get fast performing, affordable card and really didn't want to even consider Lexar or some other pricey brand. I received the card in a sturdy cardboard packaging, and the card itself was stuck in a typical, tiny plastic case. No unnecessary flashy (cost adding) packaging, which is nice. The card build is quite ok, plastic body with the side face text etc added as a sticker. I didn't notice really any "cheap" quality look that I've read some people complain about. I ran benchmark test for the card with Transcend TS-RDF8K usb3.0 card reader and used CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 x64 on Windows 7 64bit.Here are the benchmark results I got:Sequential Read: 120.2 MB/s Write 102.6 MB/s. 512k Read: 104.2 MB/s Write 29.29 MB/s. So the card works relatively well and I'll have to see how it performs in actual use. I can't say anything about card durability yet but so far I'm satisfied with Komputerbay 64GB 1000x CompactFlash card.

I bought this simply because it was miles cheaper than the other similar rated cards. I didn't particularly care if (as I've read on other reviews) this brand isn't quite as fast as the cards that cost 2/3/4 times as much as long as it works and is reliable. I don't like to blindly follow the old adages, 'Buy cheap - buy twice' or 'You only get what you pay for' - there are genuine bargains out there if you are prepared to look hard enough. So far I have no complaints. I've used it in my new Canon 5d III and it has performed flawlessly.I decided to do a speed test the other day. I set the 5dIII to take RAW images (file size of around 25mb each shot) and at it's highest frame rate, which is 6fps.The camera display indicated that I would get 13 continuous shots so I pressed the shutter release and waited until there was a delay in frame rate, then counted up the shots. It had taken 25! So much for the card being slow.I found no issues with fitting the card in its slot as mentioned in other reviews.Would I buy another? Definitely.

Excellent value & stability. It has been many months now since using the compact flash purchased from Komputerbay. I have stored music, films & data accessing daily, clearly Komputerbay have found a gap in the market for cheap quality storage without compromise & with respect towards the buyer in NOT ripping them off in over charging in price which seems to be the norm within the industry.I also going purchase another with a view to using it as a solid state hard drive for my second laptop & install Linux Mint 18 on it this is a Fantastic way on upgrading an older laptop to use a non movable hard-drive - highly recommend

I bought this card for my Canon EOS 5D mkiii, to use with the Magic Lantern firmware - specifically RAW videos. Reading through the forums on the Magic Lantern site, this brand was well recommended. The 64GB works perfectly for me, as well as the 128GB I've now bought too. I've been recording loads of RAW videos on both cards, at full 1920x1080 without any problems at all. It's a great price, compared to the other more well-known brands (and from what I've read, it's the same chip inside anyway!). I'll definitely be getting more of these. Delivery was fast too.

Card worked immediately without a hitch.Using it on an Olympus E500 on Highest Quality 3264 x 2448 setting and processing is fast. I have only had the card a couple of weeks, but I am impressed with it so far. I got to know about KOMPUTERBAY after reading a lot of reviews about their desktop memory kits and thought I might give the Compact flash a go. I chose the item on Capacity, speed and price and I have no regrets. Will certainly use them again for memory in the future, be it for a camera or a desktop memory upgrade.

I had never heard of this Company but the CF card with 64 GB and a fast speed was exactly what I needed for an upcoming photoshoot. I tested it on a couple of occasions before the main shoot and had some problems with corrupted files. This turned out to be the camera, not the card, and was sorted out with a firmware upgrade. The card worked fine on the 'big' day and on all subsequent shoots. I would not hesitate to recommend this Card to any other photographer who needs a high capacity, high speed CF card.

I bought this card for its speed. The newly discovered ability of Canon EOS 50D camera to shoot raw video (by Magic Lantern team) demands fast CF cards. This one has the best speed/price ratio. It even exceeds the current maximum of this camera (about 82 MB/s), so it will be useful after upgrading to faster camera, too. 32 GB is enough for occasional videos and great for photography. If you want to make more raw videos, choose 64 GB card (128 GB is said to be slower, according to Magic Lantern forums).

Item was as described; I bought this card exclusively to shoot 1080p RAW footage using Magic Lantern using a Canon 5D Mark III. It works without any problems; write speeds are fast and reliable and I've not noticed any dropped frames since purchase. I've only had the card a few weeks so can't comment on long term reliability, but I have also previously bought a 32GB Lexar Professional 1000x card and this is so far comparable in performance at half the price.

30.6.2013

I was concerned about the price of this item when I made the purchase. It is what it say a high speed CF card which works to a quality and speed anyone would be happy with. I would not have a problem in purchasing another one of these CF cards, good value, good quality. I shoot a lot of sports photography so I needed a card for volume and processing speed this fits the bill taken over 4000 images on this card and not had a problem.

I now have 3 compact flash cards supplied from this company. I have used a 16gb 336 card in a Canon 40d for the past few years and never had a problem. I have now purchased a 128gb 1000x and a 64gb 1000x to go with a Canon 5d mkIII and so far everything works good. The cost for these cards is far below the market price for known brands but they work just as good as the leading brands. You wont be disappointed with this product

I have had a number of these cards for some time and have had no issues whatsoever. The cards appear to work every bit as well as and feel as robust as their more expensive bretheren. To date I have had no reliability issues. I and giving 4 stars as I have only just received the two 64GB cards which I use for action photography. They work as expected, particularly in facilitating the rapid emptying of the camera buffer.

I was a little sceptical about this card when I ordered it as the price did seem rather too good to be true.I ordered this card to do a conversion to Compact Flash memory on an old 4G iPod with a dead hard drive. The card worked and it still working flawlessly.I can't comment on the claimed 300x speed of the card as the iPod application doesn't require fast data transfer but it's certainly fast enough for my needs.

After reading comple of bad reviews, iv been bit fustrated to buy it. Some say it is like a lottery. But i quess i got the lucky card. It works fast, i didn't had any troubles with uploading, downloading, formating the card. And i quess in the future i would buy another one. Maybe it needs bit more operational time, to check if it works. But for now its allright, and writing speed is faster than my SD400 Lex card

I bought two of these cards to shoot RAW video ( using the ML RAW video hack on my Canon 5Dmk3 ).The quality of the footage is great, and both cards work well without dropping frames.Having shot a stop frame commercial on the 5D, I was able to swap over and also shoot live action elements on the same body. H264 is unacceptable for this, but here I get amazing quality for a low cost. The cards came promptly too.

I purchsed this CFC on the recommendation of a Professional photographer friend. I have used it for the past month both for stills and HD Video on my Canon 7D. it is fast and the videos play back without fault. I read of some peoples disappointment with the 64GB cards, but I prefer to use 16GB or 32GB maximum. I would recommend this card a good value compared to other more expensive better known brands.
