First time I've posted a review but decided that good Amazon suppliers need the exposure.Firstly I will say that I'm not a photographer and did not purchase this compact flash for use in my camera. When looking for a card I was looking for two things cost and performance. Cost as I did not want to spend much on a home project I was doing and performance as the project I was working on was to build a home server for my home network. Looking on the net certain reviews etc suggested using either a usb drive or compact flash as an embedded system drive, so this was my reason for looking at various compact flash drives available on ebay / amazon.Didn't fancy ebay as you can never be sure of what you are getting and as it happend the cost of this drive from Komputer Bay was very competative, particularly when you consider the quoted speed, compact flash drives are far faster than usb and this drive is at the top end of speed for compact flash.Anyway have now finished my project compact flash installed and working a treat, no issues reformatting it and setting up as the system drive so big thumbs up from me. Finally a few words about Komputer Bay didn't know them as a company when I ordered, basically tempted by the cost, but things couldn't have gone more smoothly item delivered very quickly and does exactly what I wanted and at a very good cost, will B-Happy to deal with them again should they have any other items I require.

...was more or less my initial impression with Komputerbay CF cards. I had read different forums where people were mentioning this card as THE card to use when experimenting or filming with Canon 5D raw.So I took a shot and ordered two cards. This latest purchase makes my fourth card from Komputerbay, not because they fail, but because they rock so far!I own a 5D mk III and with ML on an SD card and the Komputerbay CF cards formatted with exFat and reserved purely for footage, I've been getting no less than 86.3 mb/s with ALL four cards, even with peaking, waveform and crop enabled, while shooting full HD 1080p 16:9.With Global Draw off I'm getting a steady 95-97mb/s.So to put it short...it might be that so people are reporting instabilities, but you all know how people are faster to comment on bad things rather than good. And with Amazons and Komputerbay's EXECELLENT return policy, just ship the card back if you get one that is not up to par.I can't wait to see how the new Komputerbay 1050x speed cards work. Might get us 5Ders closer to 4K raw on the DSLR.NOTICE... For some reason, with most CF cards, almost across the board, the fastest cards are the 64gb cards. Both the 32 and the 128 gb cards will write a bit slower and might not be enough to pull off full HD.Have fun doing raw! I know I am now :DCheck out my workflow test filming Canon raw with Komputerbay cards.[...]

I made the decision to purchase this card based on EOSHD's recommendation and what I read on Magic Lantern forums. I wanted to get fast performing, affordable card and really didn't want to even consider Lexar or some other pricey brand. I received the card in a sturdy cardboard packaging, and the card itself was stuck in a typical, tiny plastic case. No unnecessary flashy (cost adding) packaging, which is nice. The card build is quite ok, plastic body with the side face text etc added as a sticker. I didn't notice really any "cheap" quality look that I've read some people complain about. I ran benchmark test for the card with Transcend TS-RDF8K usb3.0 card reader and used CrystalDiskMark 3.0.2 x64 on Windows 7 64bit.Here are the benchmark results I got:Sequential Read: 120.2 MB/s Write 102.6 MB/s. 512k Read: 104.2 MB/s Write 29.29 MB/s. So the card works relatively well and I'll have to see how it performs in actual use. I can't say anything about card durability yet but so far I'm satisfied with Komputerbay 64GB 1000x CompactFlash card.

I bought this simply because it was miles cheaper than the other similar rated cards. I didn't particularly care if (as I've read on other reviews) this brand isn't quite as fast as the cards that cost 2/3/4 times as much as long as it works and is reliable. I don't like to blindly follow the old adages, 'Buy cheap - buy twice' or 'You only get what you pay for' - there are genuine bargains out there if you are prepared to look hard enough. So far I have no complaints. I've used it in my new Canon 5d III and it has performed flawlessly.I decided to do a speed test the other day. I set the 5dIII to take RAW images (file size of around 25mb each shot) and at it's highest frame rate, which is 6fps.The camera display indicated that I would get 13 continuous shots so I pressed the shutter release and waited until there was a delay in frame rate, then counted up the shots. It had taken 25! So much for the card being slow.I found no issues with fitting the card in its slot as mentioned in other reviews.Would I buy another? Definitely.

I used these cards for a professional independent feature. - details - 5Dmiii - smallHD monitor - Magic Lantern RAW Workflow. After doing lots of research into what cards would handle the magic lantern workflow coupled with a tight budget. We decided to try out 3 x 64gb CF cards for use on a low budget feature. The cards performed flawlessly in tests and on the shoot. I would always advise testing your cards when you receive them with a USB 3.0 reader before using on any professional shoot. But I would recommend this even with the most expensive cards out there. The cards performed at a steady speed and I experienced no drop in frames or buffering, even in extreme temperatures.I would definitely recommend to others and will continue to use in the future.Remember - You can always test the cards when you buy them to make sure they work perfectly....so in my mind there is no risk. Komputer bay cards have my thumbs up!!!

I took the gamble, bought this card.- as on paper the speeds offered look good.I shoot with a Canon 5d mk ii.- both photo and video.Bursts of Raw+jpeg in photo and 1080p video.Bursts work perfect, buffer clears very quickly.- I've shot several weddings now using this card and never had any need to pause at any time for buffering. - not after confetti shots, or bouquet throws. And video shoots smoothly as it should.- I've had other cards where after a minute or two shooting video it locks up and has to stop recording due to slow card speeds. This is in no way a problem.Transfer speeds are brilliant. I use a usb2 card reader. its fast.Yes. the sticker looks a bit cheap. but the card performs.- I've been using it for a month heavily. After some thorough testing it's now my most used card.- highly recommend it. I'll be buying another.

I have to admit, I was a little apprehensive about ordering these cards as I'm a professional videographer and the last thing I need is cheap cards behaving like cheap cards! Even the name sounds dodgy... Fortunately, after two weeks of testing, I'm happy to report that I've experienced no problems what so ever and would not hesitate to recommend these cards to other professionals.I have heard of others recieving cards which fall short of the rated speeds when tested, however Amazon and indeed Komputerbay are happy to replace such cards. My advice if you have any concerns would be to order more than you need and return any you're not satisfied with, however, all the ones I own have worked brilliantly out of the box when shooting HD video on a Canon 5D2.

Excellent value & stability. It has been many months now since using the compact flash purchased from Komputerbay. I have stored music, films & data accessing daily, clearly Komputerbay have found a gap in the market for cheap quality storage without compromise & with respect towards the buyer in NOT ripping them off in over charging in price which seems to be the norm within the industry.I also going purchase another with a view to using it as a solid state hard drive for my second laptop & install Linux Mint 18 on it this is a Fantastic way on upgrading an older laptop to use a non movable hard-drive - highly recommend

Bying from Komputerbay I feel like I didn't only pay for the CF cards but also for their excellent customer service. My first card from them was the 1050x 128GB CF card which had to be returned twice for corruption. Still, for me it was worth the time and effort since returning the cards was easy and the quality-price ratio with the now working 3rd card is that good.Based on that experience I decided to also get two of these 64GB 1000x ones and they have worked no problem.Be sure to use these CF cards on a USB 3 card reader connected to a port supporting USB 3!! I use now Kingston's FCR-HS3 with good results.

I have recently upgraded to a Canon 1Dx, following the move all my old cards shrank in size, I therefore needed a decent sized, fast CF card. Having been put off by the very high prices of the competitors and having read all the reviews I decided to try the Komputerbay 64GB UDMA7. First time out I managed to get 2,812 RAW images (full size) on the card, there were no problems, the card just worked and fully kept up with the camera - both writing and clearing the buffer very quickly - If you need this size and speed of card, I would strongly recommend having a look at the Komputerbay 64GB UDMA7.

I bought this card for my Canon EOS 5D mkiii, to use with the Magic Lantern firmware - specifically RAW videos. Reading through the forums on the Magic Lantern site, this brand was well recommended. The 64GB works perfectly for me, as well as the 128GB I've now bought too. I've been recording loads of RAW videos on both cards, at full 1920x1080 without any problems at all. It's a great price, compared to the other more well-known brands (and from what I've read, it's the same chip inside anyway!). I'll definitely be getting more of these. Delivery was fast too.

Read a few reviews for this item and they were a bit of a hit and miss. But the price and also being knowing that I could always return for money back via amazon return policy, I gave it a shot. The first card arrived very quick. Run h2testw on it and and it was dead on arrival. I went straight to amazon and requested replacement for faulty item. When I finally got the replacement, I run h2testw again. this time I was a happy customer. I run it about 10 times and each time it worked as advertised. I have used it since and no problems have been detected.

It's a great piece of kit this.As recommended with most Komputerbay cards, it's good to do h2testRaw on it to make sure that it isn't faulty. Only takes like an hour or so on most computers. If it is faulty, send it back and get a replacement. As for me, I've never had an issue with either of the Kompbay cards I have bought.I bought this so that I could shoot ML Raw in full HD. It does the job, no questions asked - I recently did a big project and all files were intact and card worked perfectly. This card is a steal, I wholeheartedly recommend.

Bought this card several weeks ago and have now used it 5 or 6 times with my OlympusE500 DSLR. I take photos in RAW format and therefore need a download speed to match the camera. I am very pleased with results so far, it has a huge 32GB capacity and the download speed is as fast as other CF cards on sale at more than twice the price. I have recommended this product personally to all my friends and am happy to sing its praises on Amazon. The seller was excellent and delivered everything promised.
