Just received the SODIMM module in the post and installed it - I can definitely feel difference in performance (operating plenty of programs at the same time) so thanks a lot!Here's a tip for those who might think their laptop just won't accept this memory module - just take it out and put it back in again, keep re-booting the laptop till it picks it up! I read a couple of negative reviews saying it won't work, but I'm guessing they might have just inserted it and assumed it's not compatible just because it doesn't work immediately.Here's what I had to do - I added on this module, the laptop didn't even boot, couldn't even get into BIOS. Then I removed the original memory and inserted this new one - booted with no issues.

Works great with my QNAP NAS.Only downside as per the previous reviewer is that you have to swap this out from the main slot on the board as you can't run the existing 1GB module and the new 2GB module in parallel to get to the maximum of 3GB for the unit. Even trying swapping them around didn't work. I acutally bought this on the premise of that review and am actually grateful to the reviewer.Doesn't bother me to much as I don't load it heavily with Apps and 2GB is sufficient for my needs, but it has helped towards some issues with streaming media through Plex where I was getting kernel errors due to available memory (+90% utilisation). *thumbs up*£8.50 for something that is £57 for the matched 2GB original,

My Synology DS412+ NAS came with just 1GB memory (no other option!), but I recently found out that I could upgrade it to a maximum of 4GB (following the specifications of the processor) and so I successfully did so using this memory chip!Very happy with the result, it gave a new life to my aging NAS!

I had the same issue as many other people, where my laptop wouldn't even turn on with the new RAM placed in an empty slot; however as soon as I put the new RAM into the original RAM slot then put my old RAM into the empty slot it instantly recognised it and Windows picked it up straight away.

Works well in my QNAP 569 Pro. However I had take the original memory bank out first as the device wouldn't boot with both old and new RAM installed, even though they were same specification. That said, I can't complain as I doubled the original memory for very little outlay.

I had originally bought some similar Crucial RAM that failed when tested (failed row hammer test) and sent it back to be replaced with this.It passes the same tests that the Crucial RAM failed and has been working flawlessly since I installed it.

Doh! These DO NOT work in a Dell Inspiron N5010 FYIReturn and refund went smoothly though, so I can't fault the sticks or the service. Just sharing in this info in case anyone else is trying to upgrade their discontinued laptop!

Upgraded early 2011 MacBook Pro from 4GB to 8GB with this memory (and upgraded hard drive to an SSD). The machine is now much faster than when is was new. Kingston memory works fine, easy and quick to install.
