I bought this pack, 8GB of DD3 1333MHz memory because I have always favoured Corsair memory, especially when building my own desktop systems. In general they are good value and have a decent warranty. On this particular pack the warranty is a limited lifetime warranty. I have once had to replace a failed unit of a matched pair in a desktop and they were both exchanged without a quibble. This time it was to upgrade a Dell XPS 1645 laptop with a Core i7 processor. The laptop had originally had 4GB installed and after a year of use there were times when it felt was out of breath for memory and when it would hang on occasions. This usually happened on start up and when I checked the system resources I could see things like Firefox and Office gave it a few palpitations.Windows 7 can also take the wind out of the sails.I consider that 4GB is adequate to run Windows 7 but it does not leave that much of an margin for other processes.Removing the old ram and installing this was just a matter of undoing 10 screws, giving the fan filter a quick clean and then un-clipping the old and installing the new. It took 15 minutes. It did make a difference, I haven't run any timed tests but start up was sharper, and I have not had any problems with windows hanging.I ran the test utility that Dell has installed on the computer and stress tested the memory. Not a problem, no hiccups and the changes were stated in the system information. Is it worth it to upgrade your memory? Well I think that at these prices use as much as your system will allow, 4GB is barely adequate for Windows 7, pile it in but remember to make sure that your system allows it. The Dell XPS 1645 only allows 8GB.Is Corsair memory better than unbranded memory? maybe I am a snob on this matter, but I think it is, you get a matched pair with consecutive serial numbers.Unbranded can be anything, it can even be two completely different makes of memory put together in a box.For a couple of quid more? The choice is yours.....

I recently brought a new netbook; Acer aspire one 725 - which is great (though that doesn't matter concerning this review as this RAM is not product specific)Many reviews of netbooks that are sold recommend an upgrade of RAM to improve system performance to a more 'real world' usable level. so I started reading reviews/blogs/ forums about what RAM/ upgrade options there are available for my netbook. I discovered that even though it was possible to upgrade to 8 GB (which I feel is unnecessary unless you are running resource draining apps - that is what my i5 laptop is for!)4GB was sufficient. Many forums directed me to another Corsair product -Corsair CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9 4GB DDR3 Laptop Memory, but I think it is always best to check this out for yourself as, hey , not every one knows what they are really talking about! So before buying this suggested RAM I had a peek at the 2GB module factory installed. I found that the RAM installed was actually a PC3 12800 1600MHz speed, which is superior to the 4GB module that many others were opting for, one which only is PC3 - 10600 and runs at 1333MHz with a 9-9-9-24 latency. After some browsing, I discovered this RAM module which DOES meet the spec of the OEM installed RAM that was in my machine: PC3 - 12800, 1600MHz & 11-11-11-30 tested latency. Installation was straight forward (though I appreciate that comment is my netbook specific) I have had no problems yet and the machine (to me) seems to be running more efficiently.I must admit the windows 8 experience index doesn't show an increase in memory operations per second score, but I guess that is expected seeing that this memory is the same speed as the original part. Conclusion: In theory this module is an adequate 'hop up' option as the speed doesn't drop yet the capacity doubles!I highly recommend this product; But I wouldn't just take my word for it, I would check out your own hardware and draw your own conclusions! :)

There isn't too much I can say really. I used the Corsair 8GB 2x4GB DDR3 memory to upgrade the memory in my mid 2011 iMac. I have gone from 4gb to 12gb system memory and the difference is really noticeable. The memory was packaged well and arrived in super quick time - even with super saver delivery. The memory is really easy to upgrade in any iMac and instructions are even provided on the Apple website. All in all an excellent purchase!**UPDATE** March 2013Recently I have been experiencing random Kernel Panics on my iMac. Looking at the logs there is no consistency as to why. Tonight I experienced another and had a light bulb moment, could it be the RAM? I downloaded memtest and used console to run the test, and low and behold I encountered loads of errors. I re ran the test but removed the Corsair memory, leaving the 2 DIMMS the iMac came with - no errors. Contacted Amazon customer support who are shipping me a replacement free of charge (as long as I return the faulty ones) I think 9 months has got to be one of the shortest lifespans I have ever seen with RAM modules. Lets hope the replacements work ok.

Bought this kit to upgrade from the 4GB memory in my Acer 5553G laptop, there are no issues with it's AMD Phenom II X4 N930 processor. At first I thought that I would only get dual channel operation with just these two modules and have to leave the third slot empty but I put one of the original 2GB chips into slot three and I now have 10GB DDR3 running in dual channel!! Now the laptop boots up much faster and avg loads up noticeably faster too it seems that I'm finally getting the benefits of Quad-Core speeds. In short if you have an Acer 5553G or any other Quad-core laptop that supports DDR3 1333 get this and realize it's potential,4GB simply isn't man enough for 4 processors and In my experience with my 2 AMD phenom II quad CPU systems they both love 8GB or more to fully benefit from their 4 CPU cores, however 4GB is more than enough for single and dual core systems.Pro's:-Fantastic Value for money.-Fast, Fast, Fast DDR3.-It's Corsair.-Loves AMD Phenom II Quad Core processors.-Works very well with Acer 5553G and even allows to use with one original 2GB modules for 10GB Dual Channel :)

I don't know what took longer - the checkout process when buying this memory kit, or installing them in my laptop. In other words, it was very straightforward swapping out the previous 4GB Ram in my Dell XPS 15 (L502X) for the 8GB alternative. There was no need to download any software or tweak settings before or after the RAM upgrade, and my laptop immediately recognized the new RAM without any funny messages during boot up. There has definitely been a noticeable difference in my laptop's performance since the memory was doubled. Simple programs such as Chrome or Word no longer become unresponsive after a few too many clicks, and multiple programs could be kept open at once without a problem, unlike before. Rarely now, is more than 50% of the memory used at once.I have attached pictures of the Windows Experience Index rating before and after the RAM upgrade. Overall it has made my life easier as the dozens of seconds wasted in waiting for programs to respond really do add up. Would highly recommend.

I bought this RAM as an upgrade to my Macbook Pro to help it with multi-tasking, which the built in 4 GB just wasn't quite coping.I felt the performance boost instantly. Less hanging with multiple applications, and everything just feels snappier. Installation was quick and easy - the Macbook had no issues recognising it. There's not too much else I can comment on. For the price, I'm over the moon. Although I do believe that perhaps 16 GB is overkill for day to day usage, and 8 GB would've been a more reasonable purchase, however I like having the headroom if I ever need it for Photoshop or more extreme multi-tasking.Overall, this RAM is great to boost up a compatible laptop, and for my Macbook, proved to be really easy to install. Is it worth the money? I think yes, especially if you're a power user.

Bought this RAM to improve performance on my laptop. I already had 4GB RAM but wanted to boost the machine to it's max RAM capacity. The RAM was easy install, but I guess that's more of a laptop detail. Both DIMMs were fully functional and the RAM "spun up" with no issues. Immediately recognized and my 64-bit OS picked up on it directly.Win 7 performance index brought the number for RAM by at least a full point. My current bottleneck is the HDD.I saw quite a bit of performance improvement from this RAM. Running Starcraft II as my benchmark, initial loading of the game took over a minute before and it's down to 30s now.But I saw even better performance for other loading and running of the game with some maps loading in 30s versus 150s...Definitely worth the upgrade for my machine.

I have a Late 2011 MacBook Pro which originally came with 4GB of RAM. Upgraded to 16GB with this kit (Apple says the MBP can only take 8GB, this is false) - memory was recognised immediately and system booted first time, no issues whatsoever. The laptop generally feels snappier now, and I can run pretty much every app I have and flick between them without any lag. It's also worth noting that increasing the RAM gives the integrated graphics slightly more memory too - in my case this went up from 384MB to 512MB, and gave a WEI score increase from 5.8 to 6.3 for graphics in Windows 7 64-bit (Boot Camp). All in all, a worthwhile upgrade - with memory this cheap these days,it's worth installing as much as your machine can take!

My laptop Specifications originally:TOS: Sony VAIO Laptop VPCEB1C5EO/S: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bitCPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27GHzRAM: 3 GB 1066MHz DDR3-SDRAMGPU: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1 GBHDD: 500 GB Serial ATA (5400rpm)I like to play games on my laptop but 3GB of RAM just isn't enough for me. After doing some research about compatibility I found this product and decided to try my luck! It proved to be an awesome purchase which I wish I had done sooner. My computer runs a lot faster and games run smoother. I had no problems installing the RAM and they worked as intended.I completely recommend buying this product.Corsair are a very reliable brand and from my experience all around excellent.

This was fitted to my iMac 3.4GZ i7, which had 8GB with 4 x 2GB modules. And I purchased 2 sets to take it to 32GB.It does appear to help with the loading times of applications and memory tests show no memory concerns.Amazon shipped them via Prime and they arrived through the letterbox in a normal Amazon envelope. Not sure I am that happy about that, I would have expected a box for the value of these.Memory prices at the time of writing have dropped, as the cost was double around a year ago.I elected to choose these rather than the MAC labeled ones, no operational difference at all.It was a simple 5 minute installation.

Fitted straight in my Lenovo T500 and just works.Really good price - this was a new matched pair for under £30-00 inc p&p with full warranty, I have been watching muppets on Ebay pay more for used. There is so mutch hype written about memory - if the specs are the same, then the performance is the same - period! With very few exceptions it's all made in the same places. I've seen people asking over £150.00 because it's for an "Apple" or "HP" whatever.Like most things these days it pays to shop around and do your research. It's like anyone who still buys an Audi or VW after finding out about SEAT's or SKODA's.

I have been looking for some memory upgrade to make virtualization a bit less painful.I was not sure if my laptop (Ideapad Z570, HM55 chipset with i7-2670QM, originally shipped with 8GB) will support it. According to Lenovo (and loads of 3rd party websites) it should not accept it. There seems to be a lot confusion regarding that topic.I have decided to chance it and it seems to work like a charm. I did run some memory diagnostics and it passed with flying colors. If anyone is looking to beef-up their RAM in similar configuration I would not hesitate.Great upgrade at a great price.

Works good MacBook Pro 5.4Bought 4GBx2 modules. At first I had a bad experience after memory upgrade: constant OS crashes (few per day).It took me 2 months to realize I should stop blaming the OS and look for hardware issue (I'm that slow sometimes :)After that thought my nightmare was over:Memory test revealed that one module was corrupt.Request for support from Corsair and same day received RMA code.Sent both modules to Corsair and in 2 weeks received replacement modules. No crashes since new modules were installed (3 months)

Got this 8GB (2x4) set of RAM for a windows 7 x64 host and it was an upgradefrom 3GB. Definetly an improvement overall well worth the money i paid for itand consider it good value.Only running RAM at 1Mhz as this is the max speed for current config, and this was as expected as the mobo defaults to lower speed and it works fine, plus could always use faster speed in another machine.Like i said its good value for what you get, make sure its compatible (DDR3) withyour laptop and your good to go.

Installed 16GB in my Macbook and ( after a few attempts ) managed to get the Apple Hardware Test to run ( opt+d after power on)I left it running and it passed several times, unlike previous Komubay memory that would not pass. Good price too ,I bought this since I had severe and disappointing performance issues with my new 4GB Mac ( probably with disk thrashing ?)I think I have become used to having too many windows open and too many Safari tabs !glad to say the memory has sorted it !
