Ram prices have gone up a little, but for most mid level builds 8Gb is more than enough even for more demanding tasksThe DIMM is a normal height type which isn't the super low profile ones flying around (this really doesn't matter at all)Whilst DDR3 1333Mhz isn't as fast as higher modules, it's really not a factor for the majority of builds I do. However if you are building a pc which does use system RAM for graphics such as AMD's APU's it can have quite an impact on 3d gaming performance (if you use a dedicated graphics card it has it's own ram onboard) It won't make a lot of difference for CPU tasks memory speed.I stopped using Crucial ram as my return rate was alarmingly high (even for the high end premium ram)and the customer support was very poor (slow replacement time and excuses from customer service). I'm pleased to say I have, so far, not encountered a problem with any of the Kingston ram I have bought and used.Having defective ram is a chore esp when you have to return it, Kingston has proved to be very reliable and unless you are a hard core overclocker or an APU user (shared graphics ram speed is important), the value ram is more than good enough for most people.

EDIT: Just did a test boot on new build. It works for 64 bit as well. I have no clue what people are doing to this stick to make it not work.my advice is to make sure your motherboard is compatible with 1333mhz for this is a 1333mhz stick.it is also DDR3 and will not work for DDR2 or DDR. It will also not work with a MHz higher or lower then 133mhz.i had a strange doubt about this product only because it came in a bag like package, and when you hold the bag. it feels like absolutely nothing is in it. if you un-roll the back eventually you will find a very slim RAM stick that's half the size of a normal one. it's fragile and very slim however works just fine. i tested it in a 32bit PC and it works.4GB DDR3 (3GB usable with 32) and does what it does reguardless the size. even though looking at the amazon stock picture for this and seeing that its misleading, its a very good RAM stick. just be very carefull transferring it around. it looks like just one bend it would snap. maybe i just happen to get a different model or a mishap but doesnt affect the performace.

I have an old Dell XPS 435MT (circa 2009) I'm trying to keep alive for a few more years. I had replaced the hard drive & upgraded the OS to Windows 7 Pro last year, and with numerous other application upgrades over the past several months I noticed it started to bog down. I did a bit of system cleanup to help speed things up again, but also decided to upgrade the ram to the max allowed for this particular machine. After doing some research I settled on these based on price + reviews. I popped 6 of these sticks in and it's running great! Note that different versions of Windows OS have differing memory limits, so be *sure* to do your homework on not only your PC & processor limits, but also your OS limits before placing an order, as I would imagine items like this are non-returnable unless they are DOA.

as per above title - need i say more? I would have to be tech savy in many ways to explain why it works so well. just stick to the manufacturer guides on the right type of memory for you machine and you will not regret the purchase (bad luck if you get a dud) this product has been top class for me since 2010it is easy to install. reliable - rarely ever had an issue with ram stick. (one time it just stopped and PC showed slot was inactive. replaced with a new one. no regrets. dependable - when i install it I know it's going to work straight away, it fits its purpose for low to middle end gaming and taxing processes/ programmes which require more random access memory.PC starts and performs flawlessly and does not over load when multiple processes are open. aided by my AMD bull dozer processor

I purchased two of these kits (four sticks total) a few weeks back looking to upgrade my desktop from 8 Gigs to 16 Gigs of RAM. No problems at all. They work as described and programs do run quicker. The only issue? If you're installing these yourself be aware that the old sticks come out a LOT easier than the new ones go in. My initial mistake was trying to snap the new sticks into place using the white clips that my computer has on either end of the socket. Didn't work. Finally after several fruitless attempts I jumped online with my laptop and checked a YouTube video on installing RAM. Sure enough, the person in the video was shown pushing the sticks down into the socket, then reattaching the clips.So--push hard (making sure you have the stick aligned correctly before doing any pushing).

I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and while I use my desktop PC to drive three monitors, I don't do a lot of heavy lifting with it... mostly web browsing, backing up photos to Carbonite and once a year or so maybe a little year end summary video. After upgrading to Windows 10 and realizing things were still working ok and all hardware was recognized fine, I decided to max out my PC with memory and it's an older board, so it took this older memory. It worked just fine in my Intel DX58SO tuner board, with no custom memory settings at all. Also this comes in under the voltage requirement for this board as not to mess up your processor.(If you have this board you probably know what I'm talking about). So no concerns with the memory or installing it on this board!

Two of these 4G memory modules are working great in my old Dell Inspiron 580 desktop system (with an Intel Core i5-750 processor). The old Dell Inspiron originally had four 1G memory modules. I replaced two of the old memory modules with these Kingston Value RAM 4G memory modules in the 2nd and 4th memory slots from the CPU Processor. The remaining two memory slots (the 1st and 3rd slots from the CPU Processor) have the old 1G memory modules. So my old Dell Inspiron 580 desktop is now running 10GB of ram. It works like lightning now for less than $50. A great upgrade and a great value. I am using Windows 10 64-bit and Dell Bios version A07. If you are using more than 4gb of ram,you must use a 64-bit operating system to recognize all of the ram.

So far so good. This item exceeds my expectation. The only problem I encountered with a few of them was that I got a blue screen after installing them in the pc. I understand quite a bit about computers so I shutdown the computer. Removed the ram and re-seated it. Of course you want to make sure that you unplug the power when installing the ram. I started it back up and the system recognized the new ram. I saved it and was on my way. No more problems. I don't know if its the paint that the ram is coated with or what. But I had to re-seat a few of the rams. Other than that, they are great. Therefore, I am rating it as a 5. For the record, I bought eleven of these rams.I will report any issue but as it currently stands I am happy with them.

Package with modules arrived in two days in original manufacturer's packaging. Tested one pair of these four chips. Although from the item description they seemed a match for my needs, they prevented my system from booting successfully. Chatted online with Kingston support and learned these are high density 240-pin DRAM modules and my older 64-bit HP system could only support low density. Kingston provided their part number KTH9600B/4G appropriate for my system which I later found from an Amazon reseller, as Kingston no longer makes the older chips. Amazon provided a pre-paid return label for these high-density chips and credited the entire amount. Amazon, this kind of service and support will keep me coming back! Thanks.

I wanted more RAM for an old PC, it was 4GB and bought this to double it to 8GB. Wow this old PC with windows 7 is like lightening and with the SSD drive i bought boots up in now time. This wasn't the most expensive RAM on the market but i am on a budget so i needed to buy cheap and i'm so pleased i did. High street prices are a lot more but I've managed to breath new life into an old PC that now works like a £400 brand new PC. I ordered on a Saturday and it arrived via Royal Mail by Tuesday. Very pleased with the product, delivery and also price. Its been installed in my PC for over a week now and I've had no issues at all. Great buy

Several people have commented that this memory isn't compatible with their HP. My computer is a four-year-old HP p6741c, and a friend who knows a lot more about this kind of thing than me told me that this memory should be fine. It arrived today. I struggled a little bit popping it in; it was harder than I expected it to be to seat, but once I did, it worked fine. No problems, no surprises. The modules are only about half as wide as the ones that came in the machine, but the differently sized modules work fine together. I went from 4GB RAM to 12GB in no time just by adding the 2 4GB modules.

After ordering this and reading the reviews, I was fearful this would not work in my HP Pavilion Slimline s5-1070t. Presently there was a 2 and 4 GB DIMM already in there and wanted to pull the 2 and put another 4 in to max the system out at 8 GB for Linux. The new DIMM wasn't as tall so i put that closer to the CD ROM for better air circulation and moved the taller original 4 GM forward. Booted up with full BIOS recognition and it works like a champ. I guess I lucked out my Intel H61 chipset with 2011 BIOS didn't have a problem with it. All is good.

I installed these in my Gateway i7 computer from a few years ago to max out the internal memory. Since the chips it came with are 1333Mhz, I didn't want to purchase 1600Mhz RAM (even though my motherboard supposedly supports it), in order to avoid any possible problems. I picked these because they are the same speed, voltage, etc, as the ones I currently have. Its been working very well so far, running memory intensive applications (media editing) are more responsive and a pleasure to use now. Highly recommended if you have a Gateway or similar box.

Both Kingston and the Amazon website very clearly and accurately list the key specifications for this particular Kingston RAM module. This made it very easy for me to quickly find and confirm that this particular RAM module was appropriate for my desktop computer. The RAM module itself was reasonably priced, and I was able to quickly install the RAM in my computer within a few minutes, with no complications. My computer immediately recognized the additional memory, and the added RAM provides a noticeable improvement in my computer's performance.

This dual in-line memory module (DIMM) has a lower profile than other memory modules I have bought in the past but it fully complies with the stated specification and is 100% compatible with the existing modules. The lower profile made it a little tricky to install alongside taller DIMMS. The added memory was recognised immediately and is working exactly as it should. There is not much you can say about a memory module except that it does the job it was intended to do perfectly. I am satisfied with this purchase from Kikatek.
