I bought this from Belgium on 5th September for £105, it's now even better value at time of writing £80 but no longer delivers to Belgium.I had no problem setting this up running Windows 10 creator addition with 2 external screens. I had to download the display link drivers to get both screens working with the dock but these were available from the Kensington site.It took some time with windows laptop settings to ensure that both screens stayed on with the laptop screen closed but this was due to my preferences having the laptop sleep automatically when the lid is closed. Once this was changed and one of the external screens was designed the default screen everything worked fine.I have noticed a couple of times when playing some games that the connection seems to have dropped and it searches and finds again the connection. Not sure this is a bandwidth issue with the USB or perhaps my internet connection to the gaming site.I bought this as I take my laptop home from work and didn't want to plug and unplug several screens each time this way I only have one USB to change.Been using it for a couple of weeks now and it works fine no issues with speed or transmission, everything is smooth.I would recommend this as a good option for a home office looking to go with multiple screens.

I have this device for my desk at work, and I have to say it is a great bit of kit. Once you have the correct drivers installed it works really well, I was amazed that I could output everything (display, Ethernet, mouse, keyboard, phone, audio) all through a single USB connection. This was great for my new laptop (Dell Precision 5510) which is lacking a lot of ports as is the fashion these days. Also to contradict some of the previous reviews it DOES WORK WITH MAC I have been successful in installing the drivers (from the DisplayLink website, not Kensington) and plugged the device in to share the screen (mirrored and extended) and all the other devices with only changing a single USB cable over.I highly recommend this if you have a desk set up and you a) use more than one computer at it or b) are too lazy to plug in more then one (two if you include laptops power cable) cable in the morning. The only improvement I would have liked, though not enough to drop a star, was a sensor inside the device so that when a USB connection was snot detected (the laptop is not plugged into the dock) it powers down. As it stands there is a blue light on the dock that is always on, I'm sure it doesn't draw much power but would be better if it drew none at all.

Amazing - I write software and use the screens intensively and have zero tolerance for screen lag or fuzzy images etc. I bought this dock to run 2 screens on my Lenovo Yoga 900 laptop. As expected it worked as advertised on the Lenovo Yoga 900 when plugged into a USB3 port. What I didn't expect was it to work on my old Lenovo T420 plugged into a USB2 port. I am writing this review on the Lenovo T420 with the dock plugged into a USB2 port and the following: The laptops built in screen running at 1600x900 and then plugged into the dock is a 28 inch screen running at 2048x1152, a third 21 inch screen running at 1600x1200, the Ethernet connection and a USB keyboard and mouse. To be honest I cannot see the difference using the dock or with the screens plugged in directly to the T420s two external display ports and all on USB2. I know USB2 is not what is advertised to use and I am sure if I pushed the ports hard by copying large files the USB2 bottle-neck would show up. But for a 3 screen setup for writing software it is amazing. If I had known how well this works I would have bought one years ago.

Working for me on a MacBook Air OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) - one external 1920 x 1200 DVI monitor plus the Mac 's own display. I am using the latest drivers (2.5 Beta 3) downloaded from the DisplayLink website. I also run Windows 10 and Parallels, and this works OK too.The only slight annoyance i have come across is that the FaceTime translucent sidebar flickers (this is only needed to make a call and is hidden during the call). There are a few very minor glitches on the shading of translucent areas of window title bars, but hardly noticeable. iPlayer works windowed or full-screen on the external display, with little obvious frame skipping though doesn't seem quite as smooth as on the native display. Can't run Bioshock even on the native display, when the docking station is connected (says not enough video RAM).Update December 2018 - still using this 3 years later, same MacBook Air, these days with 2560x1440 monitor, and macOS Mojave 10.14.1.

I bought this product so that I could run two external monitors with my laptop. I am running two 24" monitors at 1080p resolution, with my laptop monitor turned off. What I use the monitors for requires that I can look at multiple windows at the same time and interact with them in real time. There is no video or 3d graphic computing involved. This works reasonably well, but i do experience some lag occasionally which is why I only gave 4 stars. I am using an i7-3610qm. To my understanding this is what determines the performance of the DisyplayLink chip installed in the Kensington USB 3.0 Dual Docking Station. I can't give less than four stars, because frankly I don't know of any better solution than this if you want to use more than one external monitor on a regular laptop. You could try rigging up an external graphics card somehow or look into some competitors like Matrox (competitor to the DisplayLink chip solution that is).

I bought this item a few weeks ago in order to plug in a work laptop for home working after unplugging my personal laptop (different brands of laptop). It also adds more USB ports for printers, hard drives etc.It worked successfully after two calls to the company's technical support line, as it needed some software to be downloaded from an online website, and I needed to find out which software to uninstall and reinstall. So far it has worked well, except that today the sound connections seems to have stopped working so I will need to make another call to technical support on this.I would recommend this product, and hope that it continues to work successfully for the next few years. It does require some software to be installed on the computer, and in the case of a work laptop, this may require assistance from the company's IT Department. In may case, they were happy to assist.

Bought this unit to work with my wife's Surface Pro 4 (Windows 10). Pugged it in, followed the download instructions for the latest software (so ignored included CD) and up and running in about 15 minutes, with external monitor with crisp, flicker-free viewing at high res. Keyboard / mouse, wired LAN at Gigabit speed and loads of USB ports, including USB3 front-facing sockets. Requires one 13A socket for a power brick. Once software installed, all subsequent connections have been simple since - connect one USB cable and you are on! Recommended.Eight months later - as delighted as ever! Since the above review took another PC (Samsung Notebook) and plugged it in to the USB port - all installed no hassle, without need for CD or manual install of drivers. I came back to this review only as I am about to buy another unit!

Excellent Product. Works out of the box with great results. I use it to hook my Surface Go 4gb Tablet up to a desk top set-up using a USB 3.0 to USB-C cable (purchased separately). I have ThinkVision T24D connected with HDMI, and a old Dell LCD connected with VGA (using a VGA to DVI adaptor purchased separately). I have a wired mouse and keyboard connected, a Dell USB sound bar, and a Seagate 2TB portable hard drive for extra stored in desktop mode. The only downside is the last of USB 3.0 ports on the rear, which means I have to plug my Seagate Harddrive into the front ports to gain the extra transfer speeds.Otherwise it's a nice clean set up to allow you to extend a laptop or tablet easily.

Bought this in the black friday sale as I had used one at work and knew how great they were. Regularly travel away from home so it's nice when I get back to only have to connect one cable to have my mouse and secondary monitors hooked up to my laptop. Only 4 stars as I thought this would allow me to swap effortlessly between my laptop and old desktop using my monitor set-up however because my desktop is getting on a bit not all the monitors function through the hub which may be worth checking in advance. It's still a great purchase at the price I got it £65 and would definitely have paid more for it had it worked with my old desktop. Will possibly get more use out of it when I upgrade desktop.

Fantastic little device. I have an HDMI 24" monitor connected to one output, a DVI 24" monitor connected to the other, and my laptop screen giving me a third - all set up for extended so I can span across all three screens from left to right. I tried to setup the second 24" monitor using the supplied DVI to HDMI converter but it wouldn't work so I used the DVI interface instead. Same quality so not a problem. I am amazed that from one USB3 port I have a 1 Gig network connection, 6 USB ports, two monitor outputs, and a sound input/output. I have even bought a second unit for the office. Works perfectly with Windows 8.1 but you do need to download the latest software from their site.

So useful, very pleased and buying another.Connect it to your PC, take a few seconds to configure all the monitors and the settings are remembered forever. Laptops are connected in seconds. You can plug in your earphones and few more usb devices. Now the whole family can share the same desk but use their own computers without the kids adding viruses to mine!My only snag is there's no on/off button. Sometimes I connect my work laptop to it and it doesn't signal the monitors to change or wake-up. However this is a tiny inconvenience where i just unplug the power and replug it again.

Yep, these are better than I thought they would be and good value for money (£80) so I bought another one. I have a 4 screen card with all ports used and this let me add another touch screen with no issues at all. As it's powered it has also helped with some power problems I was experiencing from some USB devices so all in all it's been great. The second one I am using for a laptop dock at home but I take it away with me when working away for longer periods to allow me to use 4 screens (2 out of the dock, 1 out of the laptop + the laptop screen).

Does everything you would expect from one of the most expensive docking stations on the market. Built quality is very high and all the ports are well located. It requires the installation of a single driver and then you are good to go, almost plug and play. The Ethernet does not work if your line comes from a old half-duplex switch, it requires a full-duplex connection (most of the modern switches)

Threw out the desktop and run this with my Surface Pro 2. Brilliant. Plugged everything in, downloaded the Windows 8 drivers from the website, plugged in the USB cable and switched it on. Everything worked immediately. I'm running an Asus 1920x1080 monitor, Bose speakers, logitech unifying mouse and keyboard, SD card reader, ethernet, DYMO label printer and all worked immediately.

I work as a software developer and having more than one screen is kind of a necessity and this was exactly what i needed. It has a low profile on my desk with loads of ports. It looks sleek and works well. No lag or connection issues. It's super handy just plugging in one cable to my laptop rather than 4. It was definitely worth the money
