The Kensington Wrist Rest is available in a limited number of colour combinations, with black usually as one. It is intended to prevent or relieve some of the symptoms of RSI, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and similar muscular-skeletal problems.It is of a size that will probably exceed in length almost any keyboard. Intended for use with a full- or near-to-full-size keyboards with or without a numeric keypad and which does not come with its own rest (fixed or removable) and is designed to raise the wrist in respect to the level of the keys. In some instances, it may be advantageous to remove the original wrist rest and replace it with this as it will probably be far more comfortable in use.As the pad height is 3.2cm (about 1¼ inches) until slightly depressed by the wrists, it may better suit some keyboards more than others. Although not adhesive-covered, the base tends to adhere very well to any reasonably clean, smooth surface.In this instance, it was bought to use with a mechanical gaming keyboard which does not have its own wristpad. As these keyboards have a deeper overall height and the keys are raised higher (both due to the physical constraints imposed by their switch mechanisms and structure), it can be uncomfortable and adversely affect any RSI or similar conditions you may have when you type on them for lengthy periods without support for the wrists as they will be raised rather more than is usual.A similarly equipped Kensington mouse mat using a necessarily smaller version of the wrist rest has been continuously used for about 2 years and is undoubtedly the best and longest-lasting of several others that provided a similar function although not all were gel-filled as claimed. Unlike some of the cloth-covered and foam-filled alternatives, moisture does not build up on the upper surfaces and tends to evaporate via the channel between the pair of mouldings. However, based on a long experience of using a matching Kensington mouse pad, you may need to very occasionally wipe-over the surface with a moist tissue or kitchen towel to remove any minor build-up that may occur.If you don't currently have support for your wrists and do a fair amount of typing, you will need one of these or, if you know of better, please tell what you are using. Personally, I am unaffected by RSI etc and can do a considerable amount of typing, but several members of the wider family are or were affected by it and this should help keep it at bay.

This a fantastic wrist rest, I have really bad Tennis and golfers elbow which is extremely painful. As soon as I stared using it I felt a difference. I also brought the mouse mat. It is incredible the difference it has mad. I have been using it 2 weeks now and I don't get the pain in my shoulder anymore and it has definitely eased the pain in my arm. I strongly believe that these should be mad compulsory for people who spend their working day on computers.

Needed to get for work as have been diagnosed with acute tennis elbow which also causes shoulder and wrist pain. Cooling feeling and comfort from position it keeps the wrist in is helpful. Stays firmly in any position on desk.

I've had one of these before but unfortunately it got damaged and went all sticky.This is a replacement. I love these wrist rests, very comfortable and firm.The price was very competitive and the service excellent.

This is great. Supports my RSI prone wrists. So glad I bought. One slight criticism, I does whip faintly of fish. Lord knows why but many of these Gel products do. So one month on the smell has gone.

This has helped me at work so much after a recent alternate product unfortunately split within a few days of usage. Well worth paying the extra for the quality and comfort

This is a very comfotable wrist support and would recommend it for anyone who is using a computer for long periods.Looks good to, I also got the mouse mat to match.
