This 3M WR310B wrist rest is as almost good as any I’ve tried in the past, and it has the advantages of being wipe-clean and non-slip on the desktop. At 3.2cm thick it is suitable for the traditional standard keyboards used by many office computers, and at 48cms long it is about the same as one of these but not long enough to reach across for the mouse as well, unless there is no number-pad.I’ve used wrist rests with keyboards since the 1980s, not consistently because some keyboards such as on laptops or custom consoles make them impossible to position effectively and then I suffer; but I always try to use one with a full-size keyboard with proper sculpted keys, such as this very-nice-to-type-on big old heavy Dell AT102W PS2 type with its positive action, because I have found the rests to be very beneficial in minimising RSI in the wrists and the back of the hands, and they also help with typing speed and precision.I also use a separate  mouse wrist rest and a tilted mousepad on the right but also regularly swap the mouse between Left and Right hands every couple of days to help prevent RSI in the shoulders and the back of the hands. The extra thickness of the WR310MB makes all the difference and I am still using it now, and have not reverted to my old worn-out rest, or to the thinner WR320LE I tried before this one.

I've been working with computers since I was 8, almost 35 years now and constantly sitting in one position and only make small movements can lead to such terrible complaints as the dreaded RSI. I've been using pads and mats at work for the last 10 years, ever since I started to feel aches and pains in my wrists. These items are not just luxuries or silly gadgets they are part of being responsible with your health. A wrist-rest takes a little getting used to first but after a while you really start to feel the benefit, increased ability to keep typing and working on the keyboard, less strain on wrist, arms, shoulders and even neck. The 3M wrist-rest is very well made, solid and heavy in design so it won't move around, the gel is a little harder than I'm used to but I think that's a good thing as it keeps your wrists firmly in position as opposed to slowly sinking into the rest. The rubber base is very "sticky" and doesn't budge an inch on wood or glass desk.Take it from someone who spend 9-10 hours a day on a keyboard, don't take chances with your health, get keyboard and mouse rests. The effects of RSI are not always obvious and you can experience aches and pains in very odd places you wouldn't associate with bad posture and support. Buy one of these today if you regularly use a keyboard.

I have been using gel rests for mouse and keyboard for about ten years on and off I suppose. Which is depressing. But I've been through a few, and this one is definitely the nicest (and most expensive). The finish is "leatheresque" on the one I received as opposed to other ones I've had which have been smooth plastic, or weird springy elastic material. Definitely a lot nicer feel. But Uh-oh, it looks like I was sent the wrong one - I received what looks like "3M(TM) Leatherette Gel Keyboard Wrist-Rest" instead of the "midnight black" I was supposed to receive. .Underneath the leather type finish it's pretty much the same gel texture as every other gel rest, I'm to assume the "midnight black" is exactly the same too,but it does feel a lot better made and nicer. It will also wipe clean better than those elastic material ones including the midnight black. See the problem is when you use these a lot (8hrs+/day) they kinda get gross if you cant clean them. So, well, very nice! But the problem is, it's a lot nicer than the type I was expecting to receive. I'm afraid I'd definitely recommend getting the one I received (leatherette) instead of this one which I believe is the "weird springy elastic material". The leatherette one, seems much nicer, but I guess its down to personal preference.

This Wrist Rest is 38 cm long, longer than I was expecting. It is 6 cm deep at the ends, expanding to 7 cm in the centre, and 2 cm high. It is a simple, elegant shape with smooth curved edges. The Rest is made from plastic with a faux leather finish, similar to that of the washable 3M precision mousing surface that I have previously reviewed. The Wrist Rest can be washed under warm water to keep it clean, which is a good advantage. The length of the Wrist Rest looks as if it will fit with larger, extended keyboards that include a number pad. Currently I am using a compact keyboard so I’m not able to make the comparison. The Wrist Rest butts up to the edge of the keyboard and stays in place because of the grippy surface of its underneath. It does not slip in use but is easy to lift and reposition. The Wrist Rest extends beyond my keyboard but this gives me an extra cushioned area so that I can place my mouse mat above the upper edge of the Rest. They all line up quite neatly. The gel pad of the Wrist Rest is very slightly lower than the gel pad of the mouse mat. The firmness of the gel pad is similar to the matching mouse mat, so it is very comfortable to use. This is an unobtrusive Wrist Rest that is easy to keep clean and is ideal for full size keyboards.

This is nice bit of kit. It may seem a little big until you put the keyboard and mouse on it. Then it takes up hardly any more space than the actual keyboard and mouse. Before, I was using a keyboard and mouse gel set which were prone to moving about and were cloth covered. This keyboard combo is a leatherette affair and feels like a bit of luxury. Even though my desk is not the biggest this didn't have any problems melding in.One thing I really like is that the wrist and mouse rest is all one piece and my previous one had a huge gap where one started and one ended. The rest has a very nice squishy feel to it.But this product is not perfect. While I like the idea of the mouse mat being stuck to the base the mat itself seems cheap and has a scratchy feel it is also much much lighter than the darker grey base, this only highlights its cheapness in a otherwise quality base. It is also ridged and the mouse makes a scratchy sound when moved which is fine for some people, but I got used to the silent cloth surface I was using before, so it seems really noticeable.I really think at this price point the quality of the mouse mat should be a lot higher and aid the glide of the mouse a whole lot more.

Oh my goodness, this thing us HUGE! You could land a B52 on it.. You certainly need a fair bit of desk space to be able to give it a home. Saying that, if you are like me and tend to work on the sofa, it makes a super mini-table to perch your keyboard and mouse on, while you lean back and get comfy. I actually use it as an extension to the coffee table and perch my laptop between the two, which makes it much better for my eyes and my back - and the wrist rest stops me leaning on the front of the laptop when I type - so I am really pleased with it.However, if you are a normal person and use it in the way it was intended, I can say that it will hold the biggest keyboard ever - and it has a mousemat that's not attached,so you can put it on either side - depending on whether you are a lefty or a righty. The mouse mat has a textured surface to give good grip to your mouse, which is also helpful. But its trademarked name is 'Precise Mousing Surface' - which makes it sound like a cat toy.So the whole thing has the overall feel of something put together in the dark by someone with a strange sense of humour. You can make it work for you (if you have enough room!) but it will always be weird.

Check your measurements first, for this is quite a lengthy wrist wrest, however this means it can accommodate almost any keyboard and ensure you are fully supporting your wrist from any angle. I haven't used a wrist rest for a while and I had forgotten how comfortable they make typing. Even when your palms are resting there is a sense of comfort that wasn't there before. There is the clear health boon too, a major aid in preventing RSI for regular typists. I'm not sure how this would feel if you owned a low-profile keyboard - you may want to procure and test out a cheap rest before committing to a higher quality one like this.Although gel filled rests are fairly commonplace (far more comfortable than simple foam affairs)the outer covering of this rest is what makes it stand out from the crowd. All the wrist rests I have previously encountered are fabric covered. This means they are prone to staining and are harder to clean. This is a smooth but non-sticky faux leather covering, which in my few hours use did not promote a sweaty outcome. The base is tactile and ensure it does not move about. This is very comfortable and durable. A decent addition to your desk.

This is one of those things that I didn’t know existed, let alone that people used them until I was offered one, I run an online business and spend a lot of time on my PC and keyboard, my right hand has always suffered from repetitive strain and wondered If this would help. The quality seems very good, I’ve never seen another so can’t compare but its well-made and soft to touch, very comfortable has a gel filling, so far very impressed.Using it took a bit of time to get used to, it raises my hands slightly which is comfortable, but I’ve typed my way for so many years any change seemed odd, I’m getting used to it and like it.It to early to say if my hand will benefit from it,I find I don’t get the cold right hand as quick now, guess the blood is flowing better, so would hope that’s a good long term thing.I’m very pleased with this, I would of struggled to pay the price not really knowing the benefits, even now I’m not sure I’d want to spend £24 on one, however it is very good, the price is the only reason its lost a star.

I love this as a piece of kit. Prior to this I was using a wrist board but it kept misplacing slightly. I had separage mouse pad too which was a bit hit and miss. This platform combines it all together. The wipe clean leatherette wrist wrest is perfect. I am at a keyboard my full working day and I do suffer from RSI, but this wrist rest has helped to alleviate the strain. The mouse pad is brilliant too and working with it is effortless. Why not the full five stars then? Two reasons.1. The price. Seriously? It's a well made piece of kit but try knocking off at least £20. It's way too much for what it is.2. This is really just a nit-pick but until I read one of the other reviews,I didn't realise that the mouse pad had a peel off backing and was supposed to stick down on the base. As it happens I haven't done this and have left it free-standing, but it would have been nice to have known! Some minimal instructions would have been useful. All in all though, am impressed with the product itself.

I wanted a good quality attractive wrist rest to compliment my new keyboard (Razer Black Widow ultimate). After reading of another user of this keyboard who highly recommended this wrist rest I thought I'd take the plunge and purchase one.For £30 or so this certainly isn't the cheapest option out there, and is considerably more than I wanted to spend.I am however glad I did.Other than being expensive I cannot fault it.The wrist rest is a matte black, and very well made. It looks like it will last a lifetime unlike some other cheaper variants.I'm sure like myself you will find it very comfortable to use. The gel used is just perfect always returning to it's original shape after being depressed and not too stiff.Being leatherette it cleans so easily. A quick wipe over with a damp cloth will do the job, and it will look like new.

This is a wonderful wrist rest. I've been through a few over the decades, and whilst I initially stalled at the price of this, it's perfect. And it would be, wouldn't it? Every 3M product is great. This is no exception. Most other wrist rests are too high, too curved and sort of sticky, whereas this is fairly low but flat, giving you good support, and the leatherette finish makes it nice and smooth. When I'm staring at my screen, I often stroke it with the backs of my fingers, because it feels so nice. My colleague thought I was weird so to shut him up I got one for him, and now he does the same.I use this with a tenkeyless keyboard by Razer, and it's about long enough to provide a little perch for my Logitech MX2 Anywhere mouse too.

This is a very plush feeling and good quality wrist pad. It's pleasingly heavy and has a slip proof coating on the underside. The gel filling keeps it quite cool on the wrists which will be a blessing come Summer. It arrives in a huge box so don't expect this to come popping through the letterbox. The pad itself comes securely packaged in a hard plastic blister pack to keep it safe in transit. The height is good too and perfect for the height of most keyboards in order to keep the wrists flat when typing. It does seem a little expensive but it's also very good quality and feels like it will probably last for years.

I have used a gel wrist pad for a number of years at work and found it helpful and now I have this one for my desktop computer at home.I really like fact that this is so long, it’s much longer than the one I use at work. It’s actually slightly longer than a PC keyboard so it’s impossible not to rest your hands on it no matter what angle you approach the keyboard. The work one is smaller and tends to get brushed aside and forgotten at the edge of the desk - not likely with this one. The gel is firm but pliable and the base stays in place. It’s a simple design, but it’s well made and very effective.

Bit of an eye-watering price tag with this, but it has to be said you get a top quality and perfectly designed product for it. The wrist-rest is very comfortable as usual with all 3M products, optimally ergonomic design-wise. In fact once I started using a wrist-rest I haven't been able to do without one and this integrated unit is brilliant, with a wonderfully smooth mouse pad that can be placed left or right, and the whole thing looks and feels very professional, as well as being very useful, particularly if need to periodically move the keyboard and mouse out of the way on your desk. Love it.

21.5.2016

Fab product. The weight of it and the texture of the underside ensure it only moves if you deliberately move it. The covering material feels suitably luxurious. The best thing though is the soft give of the gel filled structure and the cooling feel of the filling. Perfectly sized to fit against a standard PC keyboard, the only downside I could see would be for a Mac user. It is too long to fit aesthetically against the standard keyboard for an Apple Mac. You'd have to either put up with an overlap or splurge for the longer keyboard with the number pad that Apple make.
