Keeps your personal space very cool and is efficient for up to 5ft away on highest speed. Three speeds mean you can have it on 1 for nighttime use, this is the quietest setting or 3 when you need extra cooling. Very easy to use, but do position it on a flat surface and do not to move it when operating as the water in the tank feeds into a tray at the base where water is then 'wicked' up the filter, and this water at the base can spill if moved. Had no issues with this JML product and is good value for the price and works well. JML are the bonafide manufacturers of this product, watch out for cheap copies.

Bought as a last ditch attempt to cool my baby's room in the evening during a heatwave but really hasn't made much difference. A standard fan works better! That said, I've taken it to work to use personally and in fairly close proximity it's doing the job well and not upsetting my constantly-cold colleagues who refuse to use air con. Good value for money, but wish it was slightly more powerful for its intended purpose.

In my opinion this is a well designed device that delivers well, especially for the price. It definitely cools the air, but remember it is a personal air cooler, it is not designed to cool a room. You need to spend a lot more money to do that! The weakest point is probably the filter, it's not a washable one, so has to be replaced at regular intervals

Pros It's a personal space cooler its not designed to cool whole rooms and as such does a good job. I use it mainly at night on my bedside table as my room gets hot and stuffy and works a treat. Cons It is a little on the noisy side and cannot be carried if it has water in. I am thinking of getting another for my area in the living room

This PERSONAL cooler works well if you keep it 2 or3 feet near you.it gives a welcome cooling effect.it was 34 degrees in my lounge and it helped me stay reasonably cool.put icy cold water from the fridge for best effect.its quite noisy on full speed and the water tank runs out sooner.it might last 8? hours on low speed

Mum loves it ;)Bought two, one for day and one for night.As a full time carer, it's perfect for some-one who stays put and keeps them cool sitting down and also, when they sleep.No big noisy fan needed.Fabulous.Fill up needed even if on low setting but other than that, i unreservedly recommend this product.

My daughter has a small bedroom with the sun penning in which makes it so hot for her. Her comments were that she wished she had the air cooler years ago. One happy daughter! My son who is in a bigger room thinks that it needs to be pretty close to you for you to feel the benefits. Hope this is helpful for you.

Although I have ticked Yes above to the unit being quiet that's only because the options are yes or no. This compact unit is a little noisy and as far as energy efficient we haven't had it that long to know.overall it seems a good little unit.

Since getting this I’ve enjoyed a cool nights sleep . I thought it was that good I bought another for my teenage son , great for ladies going through menopause... it’s quiet and gives off an glow like a night lightI love mine

For such a small cooler it really kept my bedroom cool. I will recommend to my friends and families. Brilliant.The only thing is the filling up. I have given it 5 stars if I could give more than 5 stars I would.Betty

Use it in my caravan and helps to keep it cooler on hot days. A lot cheaper than 1400 quid for a roof mounted air conditioner. May buy another one for the bedroom end of the caravan.

Its not too noisy on 1st setting but the other two are a little noisier .I cant sleep with a fan but I have no problem with this. Wish I got one sooner, best thing I ever bought .

Quite pleased with it, works best if you put chilled water in the reservoir, only downside is you need to keep filling it with water every hour or so. Slightly quieter than a fan.

It’s not a bad unit... just not great. Get what you pay for. Works ok if you are close to it..however you will not be able to ignore the noise when you are that close. 6/10

We needed it to keep dogs cool in the heatwave. It's not powerful enough to cool a room but the dogs enjoyed lying in front of it. It also works well to cool caravan down.
