Coriandre by Jean Couturier was launched in 1973. It was created by Jacqueline Couturier. This is a green fragrance in a good way. The top notes are aldehydes, coriander, orange blossom, angelica, and bergamot; middle notes are violet root, lily, jasmine, rose, geranium, iris, and ylang-ylang; while the base notes are sandalwood, patchouli, musk, civet, oakmoss, and vetiver. This is a very unusual, complex herbal fragrance with delicate hints of floral’s. The name suggests that the fragrance will have dominant notes of coriander seed; however, it’s more orange blossom dominant than coriander seed. It’s not a sweet or fruity fragrance and there’s no vanilla. I find that it works well for me all year round and for any occasion.

One that I've used for years. Not overpriced and is just the way it has always been for me so the standard doesn't seem to have changed. Probably not a 'feminine' perfume in that it isn't flowery. To me it is reminiscent of coriander seeds which is rather more lemony. I stress, it's more like the seeds, not the coriander leaves Few people would buy perfume untried, so if you like it already this was a good buy. If buying as a present, unless you know the individual's preferences, be careful. It is not a gentle or subtle perfume, but I happen to like it and finding it refreshing on a hot, summer's day as it isn't sweet or cloying. his arrived well-packaged and in good time.

Gorgeous sophisticated scent smells like a milder version of Cliniques Aromatic Elixir only with parma violets....mellows into something very sexy with an expensive air....think 1950s screen sirens, silk stockings and diamonds. Its not girly flowery and it is a trillion light years away from cheap tarty "celebrity" pongs. Don't buy this if you are scared of being a woman who knows your own mind - its not for the faint hearted. It is Audrey Hepburn crossed with Lauren Bacall with a bit of Angelina Joile for good measure

At first I thought this was another reformulation (Coriandre has been around in one form or another for a very long time) and I was prepared to be disappointed. But give it a few minutes to warm up and it's marvellous - spicy, warm, slightly earthy, really interesting; not at all aggressive as some modern spicy fragrances. It's partly coming home to the smell of Christmas cake cooking, it's partly petrichor, and it's part Mediterranean; I love it.

Tried to buy this perfume at the shop where I'd previously purchased it, but without success, so ordered here on the 14th. To my amazement it arrived on the 15th. Obviously perfume is a very individual choice, but this is just as I've always remembered it -rather lemony and reminiscent of coriander seeds. Very pleased indeed with both the perfume and the seller.

This is very sophisticated fragrance with history was established in 1977, im so glad that i found it on Amazon. This fragrance beyond and above any other fragrance i have ever had. Will buy again and so recomend it.

WAS LOOKING FOR THIS PRODUCT FOR A LONG TIME.USED TO ASK FOR IT FROM U.STATES,AND ITS EXACTLY WHAT MY WIFE LOVES.ONLY FIND PACKAGE/POSTING AND EXCHANGE RATE VERY EXPENSIVE.

this is a perfume that i used to wear years ago. and i just remembered it again recently. it has a beautiful citrus smell and so many memories.. i just love it.
