I did leave virtually the same comment in answer to the gentleman who had commented that his wife's Youth Dew would not spray so he was returning it for a refund. It seemed like so much trouble to go to for a very common problem which has only started occurring since the 'pump' style dispensing bottles became the norm rather than the good old 'spray', which I used to adore (even if I did go through more scent that way ;-D). My beloved Mum has just died and I used to love it, when I was a child, when she went out for the evening as the air was thick with the scent of Youth Dew. We didn't have a lot of money but she wore this all through my childhood and teens, when she caught a whiff of my Aromatics Elixir and swapped to that,lol. There were 2 75ml bottles in her bedroom, the body lotion and a drum of body powder. I love it, so I'm using it and it's a massive comfort to me. Anyway, the 'fix' goes like this...I worked for Elizabeth Arden for a lot of years and obviously we all helped out wherever whenever on perfumery when it was sheer madness at Xmas. The problem with non spraying was far and away the most common reason for return and fixed usually inside 30 seconds. It was lovely to see so many disappointed wives/girlfriends so happy when they could use the bottle that their bloved had bought for them. Here's the fix(I hope this helps) - turn the bottle upside down completely and pump the spray maybe half a dozen times. Then turn the bottle the right way up and do the same again. Towards the end of the 6 or7 'upright' sprays, the fragrance will start spraying properly. The reason that the bottle isn't dispensing properly to start with is that there's air trapped in the plastic tube leading down into the bottle, usually from either being stored upside down or transported that way. The fragrances(especially at Xmas), in boxes of maybe 50 or 100 bottles, were packed into the storage rooms any way we could do them - there was just so much stock!!!. Anyway, this 'quick fix' honestly did work 99 times out of 100, resulting in happy customers and consultants' sales targets met *grin*. Feel free to pass this tip to any and all people who wear fragrance/after shave etc. and I really hope it helps you. Btw, I know it doesn't need saying but this works with all 'pump' sprays Happy spraying!! p.s. This applies to travelling too. I know it's unavoidable in luggage when travelling abroad, but try and make sure your fragrance stays upright in your vanity case or whatever if you're travelling at home.

This is my wife's favourite perfume. If I went to my local small fancy chemist in my sleepy seaside town it would be giftwrapped and I would have to pay almost twice as much. Or I could waste petrol (LPG actually) driving 35 miles to nearest larger town and pay half as much again. Or I could sit at my laptop and save money for exactly the same item which always arrives freepost two days after I pay for it. Unbeatable. Until retailers wake up and realise people do not have the money to waste to keep them in business they should start doing what every other retailer has to - get an internet presence as well or lose out. People have loyalty to support their town but not when they have to find 50% increases in energy bills over a year.It's a frightening prospect, but inevitable in this day and age. I'm just glad I won't be around to experience the consequences my children will have to suffer; but I weep for them. But that;s not the point of this review. Item is lovely, post is fast and price is best ever.

Sensuous, seductive, saucy and seccccsy. But enough about me, this parfum was bought to fulfil the gentle hint from my beautiful wife just a week or so before Christmas. She loves it, and with the casual remnants of Youth Dew scattered and wriggling free from her neck to the soft bed sheet the following morning, it is indeed an apt title for this ageing option from Estée Lauder.If drunk, decant for 30 minutes and take with just a couple of ice cubes. The top notes hit the bouche with immediate effect, the after notes evolving with a slight sting, comforted down by melting ice.OH NO! OH NO! I've got Father's single malt and my wife' parfum muddled! No wonder Dad was ill on Boxing Day!!!It would also explain why Harry (our 8 year old Great Dane) had been trying hump Dad all day! I can tell you, it was a bit of a tongue twister telling Harry to stop humping, especially after a couple of glasses of Christmas champers. What on earth have I done?????

I’m immediately hit by the aldehydes in this one. The use of aldehydes really mark Youth Dew out as a traditional, classic perfume of the early 20th century, though the aldehydes are tempered into powderiness by soft lavender, ylang ylang, and the musk and incense base notes. And like most of these old, aldehyde infused perfumes, it lasts a long time. The notes don’t really change too much – the aldehydes soften and let the musk, incense, and amber come more to the fore – but over six hours later and whilst the pungency has faded somewhat, it is still definitely detectable. Whilst an oriental, it’s in the old, traditional model of smoky incense and oodles of aldehydes, works well as a classic,timeless fragrance but lacks the floral notes of modern orientals. But a lovely scent nonetheless, and good staying power.

I must admit I was a little reluctant at first to purchase this popular brand at such a cheap price. I have worn Estee Lauder Youth Dew for many years and consider it my 'signature perfume'. I use it as an everyday, stay at home perfume. So when I saw it advertised at such a cheap price I was a little suspicious, and also after reading some of the reviews, but I decided the only way was to purchase myself to find out. Pleased I did. It certainly seems to be the genuine article to me. Packaging appears to be the same, bottle the same, and to my 'old' nose it certainly smells the same. I would certainly recommend and will definitely be buying again..

I have used this perfume for a long time and it has often be said by both people I have met and by many perfume reps and such that it is about the sexiest fragrance ever. I read one reviewer who thinks it has changed but in fact what does change over time is how one's body reacts to a fragrance. Some perfumes simply don't smell the same from one person to another and that can change over time.I use this as an everday perfume and over quite some time I do get very flattering comments.Youth Dew has been around for 59 Years ( Released 1953) and still beats many since.

Took me back to my childhood as this was my mother's favourite perfume and I fancied a change from the one I usually use. It did not disappoint - it was just as I remembered it. It is a lovely, warm perfume - quite heavy - but this means you don't need to use much so it will last ages and it is suitable for both day and night use. An absolutely brilliant price as well. I can remember paying not much less for a much smaller bottle as a present for my mother when she was alive. Well worth the money and I shall buy it again.

I love it but only secong hand - my wife has been using Youth Dew for many years and this was a present. The price was reasonable and the delivery rapid (very good service)However one cannot commend a perfume for another person as its effect varies with ones skin: something which is superb on one lady might smell like refuse on another. If she has not used it before then she should try it out at a local parmacy before buying online.

First time trying this perfume. The scent is stunning. Very strong, spicy Jasmine scent which lasts for hours, can be smelt almost across the room!No idea why some reviews say this isn't legit? The serial number matches the box to the bottle. The scent is distinct. It's genuine.I got 67ml for an amazing price and this will be a permanent perfume I buy from now on, no wonder it's been around for so long, it's timeless.

I was happy with this product. Having purchased it before from outside of Amazon, I was more than happy to receive this item in good time. It was great value for money.As it was a xmas present it arrived more than early enough to be presented to my relative in good time for Christmas. By all accounts my relative is very happy with the scent, and the amount of scent contained in the bottle.???

Everything changes, and perhaps this perfume doesn't quite have the 'myrrhy' sweetness of yesteryear (or maybe I simply can't discern it as keenly as I once did); but it still smells lovely to me - and that's good enough, I think. Add in the fact that this classic amongst fragrances is being offered at such an appealing price and you really can't go wrong - can you...?Thoroughly recommended!

My wife wore this a lot when we first met and courted. She decided to give it a go again after the more expensive perfumes she had come to like as an adult seemed to change in formulation, and become less fragrant and less long lasting (Beautiful being one prime example). Youth Dew not only seems to last longer than others, it is significantly less expensive, so wins all round...

This is a warm, spicy and sparkly - It is a strong, long lasting perfume - so if you want it in a more subtle form I recommend the body cream, or the body lotion - they are all equally good. The bottle is lovely and truly, retro, which gives this a good classy look and it, remains affordable it deserves its unique status. A fragrance that is well worth a resounding five stars.
