Mon Paris opens with a sparkling burst of red berries and a generous hint of pear, with a floral heart and a base of white musk, patchouli and ambrox. I personally don't detect a great amount of patchouli in this fragrance, it's presence is noted more so several hours after the dry down, but it's not overwhelming, certainly not intense and to somebody like myself who isn't exactly a lover of strong patchouli scents in the first place, I believe this just the right amount. The fresh scent of berries continues throughout the fragrance, which I like.Mon Paris is sweet but not sickly, gentle yet lasting, it's sparkling, clean and fresh, perfect for summer, but no doubt can be worn year round and is perfectly adaptable for day or night.

The perfume opens with tart and fresh red fruits which I would liken to the dried kind in a red fruit herbal tea. I can detect strawberry and maybe raspberry. As the perfume settles it sweetens and the tartness fades a little, softened by what I feel are soft white flowers and peony, but the fruits are still strong. Later a spicy warmth creeps in and rounds out the scent, I would say this is the patchouli but it is not strong or offensive at all (I am sensitive to patch!). It just lends an elegant sophisticated edge to the fruitiness and rounds it out nicely. Overall, the fragrance is a very pretty fruity floral, its sweet but not the candy celebrity sweet scent variety at all.

This is a million times better than the original Paris, that overly sweet and sickly 80's perfume that took your breath away. Thankfully it doesn't smell anything like Paris. It has what they term an "edible fragrance", it's sweet but in a nice way, like sweet strawberry drops and turkish delight, there's a hint of vanilla cream and a fruity blackcurrant edge. To me it's the perfect summer perfume, no hint of musk, talcum powder or amber and it's not particularly floral either. In the world of modern fruity sweet perfumes that seem to have taken over, this one stands out from the crowd as being a grown up version, I am never without compliments when I wear this.

This perfume smells very strongly of berries when it is initially sprayed but soon settles down and becomes a much more sophisticated musky, floral scent. After looking on the manufacturer’s website for the notes I was worried it would be too sickly, but am pleased to report that this is not the case at all.For those who are interested, the notes are: Top - Pear & Fruit / Heart - Datura & White Flowers / Base -Patchouli & White MuskThe bottle is very aesthetically pleasing with its black bow that contrasts with the light pink fluid and the 30ml is small enough to be portable. I have found that I don’t need to carry it around as the scent is long lasting enough for me,

Received a tester of this from YSLBEAUTY (thank you). Initially for me, it's a little sweet. But I am more fond of woody spicy scents. After half an hour it sits really nicely and lasts all day. I have had lots of compliments.It reminds me of a scent of a summer tea party with Gin and tonic and macarons.The scent itself is floral and fruity. When it settles after half an hour it takes on a little more of a darker more sultry smell, this part is my favourite. So although it's got a floral and fruity top note, if your like me and prefer more earthy smells, this perfume also has that.I would recommend to someone who likes floral perfumes but wants something that is also quite endearing.

I received a free sample of this new YSL EDP Mon Paris and it's a winner for me. I thought it would be like the latest opium but it's very different!!! It contains one of my favourite ingredients to a scent which is Patchouli and this parfum has plenty of a wonderful patchouli mixed with peony accord, white musk and dalura accord. In all it is an intoxicating scent that says evening but when I get my full size I have a feeling I'll be wearing it any time of day alongside my opium(s). All I can say is thankyou YSL for sending me this free sample and I can't wait for pay day so I can buy my very on beautiful bottle which is shown in the sample envelope and is lovely with its black bow tie.

Really pleased with this perfume. Speedy delivery, not problems with packaging- arrived safely.I tried it in a perfume store and loved it straight away.It's quite strong when you first apply but settles to a lovely mellow fragrance during the day. Personally I don't feel the need to reapply- as I don't like being overwhelmed by any fragrance. I have a toddler who would be less than impressed if his milk tasted like a fruit and flower shop!If you are looking to buy a gift for your wife or girlfriend and you know they like fresh smelling scents , then this is the gift for them. If they like heavy musky scents, pick something else.

I bought this for my daughter as she went through her GCSEs really well. she loved it and it became her favourite perfume. When I bought it I had no idea that it had an amazing scent. My daughter wanted it and I got it for her. Last week I tried it just really quickly when I was on my way to my meeting and I totally ignored the scent (I also forgot that I wore it!). I received so many compliments and also it has great packaging. It is great for everyone and also for people who want to get it for themselves and their daughter/s to share! I recived the sample of the Mon Paris and I have to say it is by far one of the best FRAGRANCES you have brought out and I have had a lot of your perfumes over the years and i got the first for my 18th birthday and i am now 61My daughter loves it as well so now it's going round the family, we all had a little bit but it goes so far amazing.
