Wow is this good. Intense, erotic, long lasting and truly has prime of place in my perfume collection having has this just a few days.Coffee, as with all the Black Opium scents...this time with Jasmine sambac, creamy vanilla and orange blossom. Perfect for this time of year where we want depth and darkness in our scent but with promise of brighter skies and warmer months ahead.Sandalwood is apparent but the long lasting notes of licorice and blue absinthe are what does it for me. Not for the faint hearted, but more for those with a zest for life and a passion for it!Wore this all evening and received numerous accolades and questions re what I was wearing...despite being in a dark, cellar bar.

I have the original black opium which i love and have got in various limited edition bottles , back in March when I purchased a bottle of the original in a mock croc jacket I also received a little vial of this new version and love it even more than the original and so does my mum who's been wearing the original opium or rive gauche since the 80's. The intense esp has coffee accord, liquorice absolute, vanilla absolute and absinthe essence. This sounds like a strange combination but once on the skin you get all of these components and like it says on the box. The thrill of mysterious and daring addiction electrified and the sensuality of coffee is surrounded by the aura off the magnetizing note of blue absinthe.

Black Opium is one of my all time favourite perfumes and I was very excited to try the new Intense version of it.I have to say it smells completely different on me than the orignal one. Firstly it smelled very sweet and strong, less fruity than the Black Opium and I wasn't sure if I liked it at all. It needed a good hour for it to develop on my skin and settle down a bit. I do like this new version but for me it is just not as addictive and rich as the original one. Sadly it does not smell as nice on me as Black Opium does.I gave 4 stars as I'd happily wear it again, the lasting power is phenomenal and the bottle looks stunning.I'd definitely recommend to try it first before purchasing and just because it's not a 5 star for me does not mean it won't be for someone else.

An interesting and quite different fragrance than you tend to find nowadays.It has a white flowers / jasmine element to it and a slightly woody undertone. These are pleasant but to me not what makes it that bit different.The things that I get from it that make it more interesting are coffee and liquorice notes. These really give this a different twist.Saying that, these two notes are not over-powering. Neither are they sickly or too sweet.I actually like this Intense version more than the standard Black Opium, as the fragrance isn’t like most other modern perfumes.It is much more interesting.Plus, for me,

This is a definite night time perfume. I can still smell the original opium but when on my skin is much less sweet. It's more dark and deep than the original and the black coffee note really comes through. It is definitely less flowery than the original but there is a gorgeous subtle orange blossom tang.I am useless at identifying all the different layers and notes but the longer this is on the more I can identify a licorice note and then almost a spicy aroma.The more I wear it the more I can appreciate the depth in this complex mix.Its definitely sophisticated and at the same time edgy and sensuous. And the gorgeous dark blue starry starry night almost lit from within bottle is divine.This scent lingers a long time.

The blue bottle is very mesmerising and is a fabulously eye catching addition to my dressing room. The illumination from the bottle is as beautiful as a night starry sky. I love the original black opium and this new black opium intense does not disappoint! The fragrance is slightly sweet with the coffee and vanilla notes. The scent is alluring and distinctive for a very confident wearer you will definitely not fade into the background. I did not find this as intense as the original as the name suggests, but did receive many compliments. The scent was very long lasting with the lovely linger on clothing left in the washing basket. I delicious new addition to my fragrance wardrobe,

This new Black Opium Eau de Parfum Intense is gorgeous. I already have Black Opium Eau de Parfum and Opium Eau de Parfum, but the new Intense Parfum is 'one step beyound'. Once I Spray this Parfum on it lasts for ages. The first time I wore it my husband was very impressed, he knew it was new, so I've dropped hints as Valentines Day is round the corner. The bottle and box the Parfum came in is something different too, very YSL. I always spray a little on my hair when I use Parfum and I did this with Intense and that night I went to bed my hair smelt gorgeous, so did my pillow next morning. So if you want a Parfum that is different and gorgeous then treat yourself or drop hints for Feb 14th you will not be disappointed.

An absolutely amazing seductive scent, so good I highly recommend this. I had so many compliments about the perfume I was wearing. I will definitely be buying this edp version again. It is strong and vibrant with delicate scent of orange flower which lasts longer than other edt versions. It is the prefect fragrance for any evening occasions whether it’s a causal or smart dress night out. Even the design and colour are emblematic for a serene night. It has that pleasant coffee and flowery fragrance concoction that can boost inner positive energy. My senses have totally been challenged to new heights of enchantment and delight. My new signature fragrance, definitely.

I am the biggest fan of the black opium fragrance range by YSL , my all time favourite being the original black opium . I was so excited to hear about the latest addition of black opium intense to the black opium family, and couldn’t wait to give it a try . The fragrance smells devine, the backdrop of the original black opium with an added floral twist, slightly sweeter with notes of vanilla that linger on the skin as the fragrance fades. I absolutely love it, a glamorous fragrance for the evening and one that I will definitely purchase in a bigger size to add to my collection . Thankyou YSL for spoiling us with another great addition to the fragrance range .

If like me you use the Black Opium Original, you might think “why shall I get that one”. Well, this is why! Black Opium Intense brings on the seductive side! The subtle coffee and slightly fruity hint give this parfum a unique smell which I personally adore. It is so noticeable without being overpowering. This perfume is so nice, I got compliments everywhere I went. I did have the pink one and that was good too but very expensive to replace! On the other hand it’s very worth it, both sents make u feel sexy n confident. Only thing I will say is you should create a softer scent one along side your collection. Although both smell amazing while I’m in collage, cramped into a small class room, it can be very over powering, like my teacher can smell me from her desk on the other side of the room, which isn’t necessarily bad but yeno not always great. I fell in love with Black Opium some months ago. I adored the rich decadence of the scent and it must have worked well with my skin as soon I received many compliments. Therefore I was a bit unsure about the intense version - I found the original quite intense already - I needn't have been as this new version raises the bar further. It is pure indulgence; quite a deep sexy fragrance that lends itself to evening wear although I often wear for work and it has staying power. Love the bottle too. First of all i am a sucker for black so i tottally love the cute black bottle of it.I have already been using YSL black opium and now got my hands on this black opium intense and needless to say i love both of them. I literally cannot decide at times between the two, intense one i prefer for night and other one for day. Both smells divine and last longer even after wash, clothes smell good.I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a new fragrance to mesmerize everyone and yourself too!
