In terms of value for money this processor is number 1 right now. No AMD bs just intel power through and through. The 6 core 6 thread is great for gaming which doesn't benefit at all from either hyperthreading or 8+ cores. I have overclocked mine to 4.8 ghz and it is just way too fast. FPS hasnt ever been higher and loading times are always less than a few seconds (would recommend an nvme ssd for this). Benchmarks have placed this cpu in the top 1%. Would definitely recommend.

After considering an 8700K for a few months, I decided to pick this up instead and save myself about 200 quid. No regrets. Six cores are still more than enough for 90% of what I throw at it (mostly long gaming workloads, with small bits of photo editing. Overclocking is really easy with a half decent cooler and motherboard (I'm using a cooler master ML120 AIO and on an ASUS prime z370-a. 4.9 GHz no problem and many people have got it up to 5. Great buy overall.

Very nice processor. Its great in a gaming setup. For solely gaming and other general tasks it blows all ryzen chips out the park. Its easy to install but doesnt come with any cooling in the box. When it's set up it runs much cooler than its previous generation. I would highly recommend this for its price range.

Easy install and mildly overclocked to 4.6ghz.Great performance. Initial issue with ram not working at 3000mhz but easily sorted.
