I replaced my original 512Gb samsung SSD drive in my old MacBook late 15 inch pro retina. Restore of mac was through a mojave bootable usb (formatting the new drive as AFPS). Used paragon disk manager for the windows bootcamp side and it loaded back fine after creating an initial new bootcamp and restoring onto there. My previous disk was 512gb but the restore from time machine has take-over nearly 900gb on the new drive! bizzare, but presume I had a lot on icloud that can now fit on!The lane width via system report showed as 1. Therefore speeds were half the speed of original drive at 370MBs for read and 380 for write. The whole laptop was sluggish and unresponsive. After nearly a week of trying to get firmware updates I gave up (Instructions from Intel website don't work on Mojave) . So I prepped Amazon for a return of the drive.Just in case I reseated the drive and it failed completely coming up with ? in a box. I tried several other reseats with the same result and was convinced I had killed the MacBook!I put the original disk in and all ok and booted! I could get by! The old ssd showed width of 4 and I had a working laptop. I then did a final full reseat of the new drive including reseat in adaptor, ensuring all the way in until it clicked in the long sintech adaptor (had to be brutal btw).I rebooted and It went black for a about 3 minutes and I made a coffee. It eventually started to boot. Was it my imagination or was it fast again?System Report showed a width of x4. I ran speed checks. Read 1400MBs and Write 1200MBs. Very responsive!Eats slightly more battery than before, but very marginally as the battery is rather old and worn out showing as poor anyway. No sleep issues and performed several reboots without issue.I am now very very happy.

This is an astonishing capacity of storage on a small card. I have used it inside a Sabrent USB 3.1 enclosure. As usual with this type of interface it can achieve very high burst write speeds ( well over 200 MBytes/sec) which tends to drop back to just over 100 Mbytes/sec when copying multiple files. This does rely on USB 3 ports being available on your computer. From what I understand of the Intel technology this type of M.2 card might not be best suited to use as a boot drive but is fine for long term storage provided it is powered up at least every few months. Using a USB 3.1 interface the entire capacity could be filled in 2 to 3 hours which means it is at last practical to use an externalUSB storage device of this capacity for back-up or portability of a very large amount of data.

Using two of these units in a Mac Pro (2013) for extra storage, running macOS Mojave (formated as APFS), with an AngelShark Internal M.2 PCIe SSD Expansion Carrier Board. Works very well indeed. Has increased the internal storage of the Mac Pro here to a total of 6TB, which gives me plenty of space for my audio libraries and video files. Read and Write speeds are about 1200MB/sec, which is fine for what I do within ProTools and Logic Pro X.

Installed on a Razer Blade 15 laptop replacing the 256GB Samsung NVME PCI-e SSD that came with the laptop. Whilst it is considerably slower than the Samsung SSD, benchmarks reflected the advertised speeds for read/write of 1800 MB/s. Very cost effective and perfect for my needs which resolve around Windows boot-up, enough storage for games, and faster speeds than typical M.2 Sata SSDs which are around 1/3 of this speed.

Was looking for an M2 SSD to upgrade my laptop and came across this one. Have no regrets, was able to plug and play so to speak. I managed to copy my old HDD onto this SSD and now I have a much faster operating laptop. Takes seconds to load up rather than minutes. I would highly recommend this if you want a faster computer

Seems phenomenally fast, NVME interface. Just as fast as the original drive in my new dell 7730. The Evo 970 is supposed to be better but twice the price! Might be justified for some, but not for me anyway.

Speed of this thing is amazing. Can't tell the difference between my samsung 970 evo and it is double the capacity for 30% cheaper. There is nothing better, faster and cheaper than this.

If you upgrade from a spinning hard drive to this you will not believe the boot times (just clone your old drive onto it, Acronis true image is a good option, but there are others)

Great little drive, good capacity for the price, I'd get another one but my mobo only has one slot. About 4x faster than my SSD drives in benchmarks.

I think that fittings should be included at the priceAt the time of purchase it was good value inevitably its price will come down

Installed on an Msi z390 gaming plus. Boots in mere seconds. Comparable loading games to my crucial nvme. Very happy.

Used it for a while and it has been a big upgrade over my old hard drive. Definitely an upgrade worth having

Works great with my MSI z390 gaming Plus. Highly recommend! (Bought for £85- worth the price)
