I only bought this game recntly because of the critical hammering that it got from nearly all the magazines that reviewed it. However, I was pleasantly surprised. There are two main problems with this game: the first is the animation, as it is fairly jerky unfortunately affecting the gameplay in ceratin areas. Secondly is the combat, as often you can walk into a room and be dead literally two seconds later beacuse a pair of guards are inside and facing you: this therefore requires you to save often (a possible problem for the playstation version). In Cold Blood is a game with an involving Bond-like plot supported by brilliant and plentiful cut scenes. The graphics dont offer much but are by no means bad and the voice acting is reasonable, although the main character is obviously very bored. The puzzles are logical and easy, maybe a little too easy at times and because of this, the game is a little too short. (you can complete it in just over eight hours of game-play) In Cold Blood also fails in its abismal controls. You use the keyboard arrow commands to move, and sometimes it is quite difficult to run, shoot etc and it is easy to get stuck. That aside, ICB is a really good game with a great plot,

I got this game many years ago for the PS1 after I played a demo level. The graphics, sound and story-line were really advanced for the time.The game is a mixture of stealth, puzzle solving and shoot out and you have to be quite agile with the controller to sneak pass guards etc. so I can understand the problems experienced by the PC players.The game is a bit daunting at first because you seem to get punished for every little mistake but once you get the hang of it you can imerse yourself in a brilliant game.Buy the Ps version and not the PC!if you get stuck there are plenty of walkthrough guides on the internet.
