I have been using two of these Hotties on a regular basis for several years now and they are so good that if they were ever to be discontinued, I would buy up at least half a dozen so that I would never have to do without them! You just pop them in the microwave for 2 minutes or so, depending on the wattage of your appliance - and they really will stay hot for HOURS! In fact, as long as they remain in contact with your body, they never seem to get really cold. I have often woken up after an 8 hour sleep to find them still warm, which is amazing.I use them to ease pains in my back, legs and neck etc all year round and to keep me warm in bed in the winter months. And they are SO much better and safer than both traditional hot water bottles and the type of microwave 'hot water bottles' that are filled with gel, as traditional hot water bottles require filling with very hot water and rubber ones eventually rot; and the gel-filled ones have a nasty habit of leaking eventually! Whereas these little beauties are filled with layers of some type of fabric or perhaps even paper, soaked in plain water, and their edges are very well sealed to prevent leakage. Indeed, I accidentally overheated one of mine once and before I knew it, it had blown up like a balloon in the microwave! I quickly took it out, thinking I had ruined it. But it gradually went back down - and is still working just as well as it always did, with no leakage! Of course, I wouldn't recommend anyone trying this at home (LOL) but I think this proves just how strong they really are.TIPS:1) NEVER, EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PLACE THEM IN THE MICROWAVE WITHOUT THEIR COVERS! This is clearly stated on the polythene wrapper. But unfortunately some people seem to think they know better than the manufacturer and they remove the fabric cover before placing them in the microwave. THIS CAN AND WILL DAMAGE THE PAD as my own daughter found out when she tried it! So ALWAYS keep the cover on when microwaving them and they will last for years, as mine have!2) OVER HEATING THEM WILL DAMAGE THEM! So if they do not feel hot enough when you remove them from the microwave SLIP YOUR HAND INSIDE AND FEEL THE ACTUAL PAD before deciding to heat it for longer! Because you will probably find that the pad is plenty hot enough and that the heat just needs a few seconds to penetrate up through the fabric cover.3) If they have lost most of their heat and you want to reheat them, do NOT reheat them for the normal time unless they are stone cold, as that could overheat them and damage them! Instead, adjust the heating time according to how cold or warm they are!

I have had three Hotties before. This time I bought two: this one and a pink fleecy one. I prefer the pink fleecy one. The furry cover of this one isn't as luxious as I had hoped - it's more bathmat-style fleece than soft silky fleece. Also the fleece is rather thick and doesn't let the heat out of the inner quite as fast as I would have liked. It is still perefctly useable but if I'm only using one Hottie I choose the pink fleecy one rather than this one. Being more bulky the furry one takes up more room in a drawer when not in use, which is another disadvantage compared with the fleecy one. It looks pretty, though, and if you particularly like the look,or you want one that lets the heat out really slowly then maybe a furry one woud be best.I absolutely love Hotties. My bedroom is rather cold and I hate the shock of getting into a cold bed. With a Hottie (or two), however, the cold doesn't bother me - I almost welcome the cold bed for the pleasure I get from cuddling my hot Hottie(s).I heat the Hottie(s) - two if it's really cold, otherwise just one - in my microwave for 2 minutes 20 secs just before I go to bed. So much safer and more convenient than messing around with boiling water and a traditional rubber hot water bottle. And no risk of them bursting and leaking in the bed (or at least when they get old and eventually spring a leak it's only a small leak).Sometimes if it's really cold in the house I heat a Hottie and stick it up my jumper!

I love Hotties and have been using them for many years because they hold the heat for MUCH longer than wheat bags or indeed, any other heat pad I've tried. I believe they are filled with layers of paper and water and I use them as a hot water bottle in the winter and also for relieving an aching neck, back, hips etc. :-) They heat up in just 2 minutes in a microwave. But you must NEVER heat them for longer than stated on the pack because that will make them expand like a balloon! Unless the seams split when this happens, they will still work but every time you heat them after that, they will swell up.That has happened to 2 or 3 of mine over the last 10 years, when I have failed to notice that the timer wasn't cleared before I pressed 1 minute twice. But I always buy a replacement asap because I would never use any other type of hot 'water' bottle.

This is the second replacement pack I've bought since I purchased my original Hottie years ago. I bought the first replacement in 2012 and use my Hottie practically every night, so that's pretty good going! I have Raynaud's syndrome, so suffer with cold extremities even during (rare!) warm summer nights. My microwave is 800w, I put my Hottie in with cover on for 1 and a half minutes on full power, turn it over, then in again for another 1 minute. Not heating it as long as suggested seems to prolong its life span and it gets sufficiently hot enough to warm me up when I feel freezing cold.Towards the end of a Hotties life, the pack starts to sound crackly like someone dipping their hand in a bag of crisps and it inflates slightly.Time for a new one to hopefully last another 3 years!

I absolutely love hotties Thermal heat pads. This is the second one I have ordered. My first finally gave up the ghost after 2 years of constant use. I accidently over heated it in the microwave and the water started leaking out. These heat pads are by far the best on the market in my opinion. Just 2 minutes in the microwave and they stay heated for hours. Much longer than wheat packs and hot water bottles. They are so much safer too, no risk of scaling etc.I use mine on my lower back, I place the thermal pack into a pouch and use the Velcro strap wrap. The hotties thermal pack never fails to relax my tense tight muscles.I'm once again extremely pleased,I'm sure i'll be back in the future once I've over used this one.

These are wonderful, cannot recommend the Hottie Thermal Packs enough - I have used them for several years now with an elasticated cover for my back and hip and they are the only thing that helps ease pain. Also great for use as a hot water bottle! I have 4 in rotation - as soon as one cools down, heat up the next one so always have a spare to use if both back AND knee are painful. After microwaving, they keep the heat for quite awhile and are much safer to use than a hot water bottle as long as you stick to the recommended microwave timing. I ordered these to replace one that had finally split after using for 5 years so although not cheap - they are well worth the money!

These are amazing! I bought them after borrowing one off my sister, this was nearly a year ago now and I still use them every day.Just 2.5mins in the microwave and instant heat! Great to use for pain relief or just due to the cold weather.Obviously with prolonged use the eventually give in and need replacing but for under £10 I'm happy with that. I have only recently replaced ones I bought last April (so the were in use multiple times per day for around 10 months before needing replacements).I would 100% reccomend. These pads are alot less awkward in shape than hot water bottles and have been a life saver helping ease my back pain.

I wanted to replace an old traditional hot water bottle, and looked at these because it seemed they would be easier to use. Each one takes two minutes in the microwave (turn over half-way through). Even though they don't seem very warm straight away, be patient and they'll soon warm up. Mine still feels warm the following morning. They're much better than the old type as they don't get too hot and burn your feet. The only slight niggle I can see is that if they were used for a child, the open end of the cover would have to be stitched together, as the pad inside does get hot, and would be too accessible to young fingers.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the parcel up. Not one whiff of wheat - great! (You had better make sure your micro plate is 25cm otherwise it will not fit.) When you heat it & begin to use you would think there's nothing - no heat/warmth? But as your body/feet press up against you the warmth comes through & not all to once. Mine stays warm for most of the night. I have neuropathy & feel the cold terribly - There is no worries with any part of your body getting burnt. I'm going to buy some more for friends & family for Xmas pressies & a couple extra for myself.

Great product which is easy to use (and reuse), no mess or fuss just a few minutes in the microwave and done.I bought this one as primarily it was for my wife and it drops a star as I felt the leopard print cover felt a bit cheap in hand (acrylic fur). I would definately buy again only next time would go for a different cover such as the quilted one as the acrylic fur cover goes right through me. But then that won't be a problem for most I would imagine!Would like to see these micro hotties with a bigger range of covers.Size in centimetre's: 21 x 25

Have used Hotties micro bottles for many years for pain relief they provide a nice gentle warmth for tense back muscles. Because of their shape and size they are easily positioned to the desired area and you can sit back on them if needed. These are the newest incarnation of the product and the thing to know is that, depending on the wattage, they require less time in the microwave. So make sure you check before you warm it otherwise you may damage it.Would have been five stars from me however the case moults so I am awarding four stars.Happy shopping.

I have over the years had to replace my various purchases of Hottie microwavable bags.Since they are moreor less in constand use at least once a day they tend to last me approx 2 to 3 years, and for what they cost its a sound investment.I even take them with me when I stay a hotels and the people there are more than happy to pop them for me, but if I was using normal hot water bottles there would be the problem of health and safety.Once you have owned one, you will never want to be without one.

I am unable to use a hot water bottle, so now rely on these, have two now.So easy to use, though do keep an eye on them in the microwave - as soon as they start to rise, remove or it will go like a balloon ( one did as I had put it on a bit higher than thought I had...eek, thought I'd lost it, but no, still works a treat.Covers are good, easy to remove/wash and importantly, as for maintaining heat? a good few hours.Well worth the money, but wish they were a bit cheaper.

These are great! I have bought two previously with covers but this time just the plain ones & make covers myself. They warm up easily & stay hot for rather a long time.Be AWARE though....Do not try & reheat for at least 15 mins - as my husband found out to his cost - it blow out of its cover & the liquid that runs out it very hot!!I certainly recommend them they are 15cm x 15cm just small enough to fit in a 800 microwave & allow the turntable to move around easily.
