I really love this owl. This is my third one. After about a year I get rid of one and replace it.I microwave it but I put a few paper towels on the bottom so any moisture gets soaked up other wise the back or the belly of the wheat owl is a little damp. The smell is so lovely it's of a lovely light lavender smell but you can only smell it if you up close so it doesn't travel through the house. I would have given it 5stars but it doesn't seem to get no where near as hot as the past few that I have ordered. I always order the white owl as I think it looks like a grown up wheat bag in white. It's medium heaviness so putting this on your tummy at the time of the month is great because of the added pressure and the size gives a good body coverage.

I bought this for my mother who suffers from arthritis and joint pain as my partner and I already have one of these little critters for our own aches and pains.She found it extremely effective at easing the pain in her knees and neck without the weight of a hot water bottle as well as the ability of Hooty to be shaped closer around the area.Hooty is very well constructed and after a few years of ownership can testify to its long term quality, backed up by this being a repeat purchase

Bought for elderly mum who has arthritis which causes very cold hands. Microwave for 1.5 minutes rather than the recommended two and this gives the perfect temperature for her to be able to sit with Hooty on her lap and hold her hands against him for instant relief from the cold and pain of the arthritis. She is an owl fan, so having a warm owl to cuddle which gives relief from the pain is perfect. He's not too heavy to sit on her lap comfortably. So overall, perfect.

Absolutely gorgeous! Very well made. Bought for my newly blind small dog to keep her warm to be honest! She wasn't so sure about it to begin with so I wore it under my Tshirt next to my skin for a few hours at home. After that she loved and nestled upto it. The lavender scent is subtle which is ideal. I personally found it lovely too :) if you follow the heating guidelines the result is gentle warmth not hot so ideal for a child in my opinion.

great wheat bag and definitely a better alternative to hot water bottles. stays warm for ages. cute cuddly toy when not using for heat purposes. As other reviews state, some steam does come out of the owl once its been in the microwave but that gets less and less with each usage. i usually put mine in the microwave for 4 minutes. turning it over after 2. definitely worth the purchase in these cold winter months

I use this product for "that time of the month" to ease muscle cramps and tensions. And oh does it work! The lavender is really soothing and helps me relax and sleep, the design is adorable and would be great for kids in replacement of hot water bottles without the worry or danger of burning hot water leaking out and causing nasty burns.

Appreciated by its recipient at xmas. Apparently smell nicely of lavender and easy to use (after you've found and removed the little plastic tag in it),stays warm for quite a while and wafts the smell of lavender about.In my opinion needs a different smell to waft around, Rose Blossom, Peach, Vanilla or maybe Apple & Cinnamon.

Bought as present for my mother after her previous one disappeared ( into my sister's bag). She loves how it is so easy to heat in the micro & she doesn't have to worry about burning herself with hot water.Word of warning- her maltese hates it so we have to make sure to keep it out of his reach.lol

We bought this as a safer alternative to a water filled bottle for heating our son's crib. It is great, and much quicker and safer to use.It arrived within two days of ordering.The only caution I would give is don't buy this if you don't like lavender as it smells really quite strong!

Bought this Hooty for a pressie as was given one myself. it's not just for kids, but also very useful for oldies. Absolutely ideal for a little extra warmth on your aches and pains and lovely to cosy up with on a cold night. Recommend for all ages as no boiling kettles involved!

I ordered 2, one was perfect, the other leaked wheat before its first use and I had to put a few stitches in it. Other than that, these have been great products. Easy to use, great for aches and pains, also been useful for comforting a child with earache.

Haven’t actually used this yet, o bought it for my son for Christmas for a safer alternative to a hot water bottle, but it’s adorabld and really soft! Not too heavy either so will still be cuddly. I worried it would feel like a for stop but it’s great

Its been working great have had it for about 4 months but when i first put it in i have to put it in a little extra time because it was not warm enough for me. The scent of lavander is nice but if is too close to your nose smells like burnt rice.

Lovely and soft owl. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because she doesn't like the wheat bag, but i guess that is unavoidable at the start. It does fade over time. I'll have to keep heating it for her till she gets used to it.

Lovely little owl! Soft and cuddly, great quality and a great size. I bought this as a present for my Nan and she uses it a lot. One thing I would say is it might need longer in the microwave than instructions say but I love it!
