This was the second back wrap purchased. My husband has the blue one and it is absolutely the best thing for back pain. He 'wears' it most days and loves having heat on his back constantly even while walking etc. He has had no problem re-heating the pad (as other reviewers). He has used the back pad most days for a year. He wanted another one just in case the old one wore out, so I ordered another. I chose the black backwrap just for a change. Unfortunately the material on this particular one is made of synthetic material. The backwrap consists of a plastic coated pack that is heated in the microwave, then placed in the belt and fixed round the body. It gets quite warm and not unnaturally makes you sweat.

Excellent idea as it saves me being plugged in to my heat pad which means I have problems moving around because of the lead. There are reviews of the pad leaking in the microwave but then you read some of the reviews where somebody said they had it in the microwave for up to 5 minutes so no wonder! people just do not read instructions. somebody also said you cannot walk around in it because it is too heavy - but then you read another review and some chap went out walking with his dog with it on. I have come up with a very good idea of keeping the heat longer by wrapping my other back support on top - this is great for the winter whilst i am mucking out my horses.

Do not buy anything else but this product .... I just paid £50 for rechargeable lithium ion back pack it did not get anywhere near hot enough to penetrate through a thin t shirt or my skin on the 4th heat setting now this on the other hand is ready in 2 or 3 mins depending on how hit you need it and it is simply superb.... sticky pad ones from boots are pathetic Poundland ones don't eve heat up much trust me I've tried everything and searched for months ..i have constant lower back pain and this helps massively I cannot recommend this product enough so had to leave a huge review thanks enormously for this life saver or a product

Bought this for my pregnant friend because her back was aching - she loves it! She let me test it out and I have to say, I was quite impressed at how such a gentle heat can make such a noticeable difference! The pack inside the belt is quite solid to touch, but that actually adds quite a nice feeling of support. The outside fabric is nice and soft, so I think you could probably wear it against your skin with a tshirt or whatever over the top without a problem. I would definitely buy again!

Great product. Multiple uses. Bought one in a furry cover (without the tie sections) as hot water bottle 3 years ago. This is it's replacement. Furry cover is still fine, so got this one with a wrap around cover to also use as a warm wrap when working in the garage or garden in Autumn or Winter. In the furry cover it also fits in the large back pocket of an Australian Bikers Gear Jacket. Great for keeping the back warm while waiting for an MOT in February!

When I was injured by someone rear-ending my car, I needed something to heat and soothe the damaged muscles in my back. This wrap did the trick. The microwaveable core doesn't reach the temperature of a hot water bottle but, in many respects, that's a good thing. It's easier to handle than a near-boiling bottle and, by the time the core's heat has passed through the material, it feels much like a bottle wrapped in an appropriate cloth.

Excellent warming effect and comfy to wear, but the only snag is the removable heat pack is very big and doesn't fit in my average microwave and has tendency to jam against internal walls and stop rotating, which I'm.guessing this isn't entirely safe if product stops rotating. Just watch it like a hawk if this happens. Or when designing new one, make it two smaller heat packs, and add a line of stitches in wrap to secure them in place

I've 3 operations on my spine and every now and them I overstrain my back AGAIN. This Microwaveable Backwrap has been, so far, the best soother I have found. I carefully heat it in the microwave, not too hot or it could get damaged, place it in the pouch and strap it around my lower back to relax the muscles. If I have a considerable amount of pain then I will intersperse this action with a cold pack to reduce swelling. Love it.

Bought one last year as a present. My partner used it constantly: during cold weather (hot part on her back), during period pain (hot part on her stomach), in bed, in front of the tv. The gel-to-be-microwaved part lasted a year of constant visit into the microwave until she put it a little too long and it melted on one corner (fair). So I have purchased an other one. She was the happiest girl around when opening her gift.

This was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad that I have bought it. It is so much more practical than a hot water bottle and the heat pad stays warm for a good length of time.When I suffer with back pain, I can wear this underneath my jacket on my commute to work and even in the office. If it needs heating, then I pop the pad in the microwave for a couple of minutes and its back up and running.Recommended

I've been suffering with trapped nerve in back for month now and been unable to sleep for more then 21/2 hours at a time and having to fill hot water bottle at least twice every night. Last night I got 4 hours sleep and only had to half heat this in middle of night to keep it warm enough. And I had no pain while wearing it. It's amazing and works and am now looking forward to coming off pain killers.

This is the third one I have purchased for my dad who has disk problems he likes it a lot and uses it everydad and says it helps him .The velcro on the belt strap seems to wear down after a few months so i just purchase a new one every time but you could repair it if you wanted I just replace it as it seems easier and you get a new heat pad then as well so I would recommend it highly

What would I do without this wrap?! I had to sew more Velcro on mine to get it to fit really well, but I am really small. This is such a super item. On the coldest days I am snug with this wrapped around my back. Having had a previous back injury, I use this wrap to warm my back before doing anything strenuous. It really works well for me. Wouldn't be without one now.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I use it almost every day and so far I've gained some noticeable flexibility to my lower back. It fits me well, (I have a 34 inch waist) and is easy to wear. Why not 5 stars? I'll tell you in a year. If everything is still working and hasn't come apart, then I'll come back and put an extra star on it!
