Lovely sized hama bead set. This size was originally bought for my 4 year old daughter but her 6 year old sister loved it too. I bought the owl for her for Christmas. The board itself is square so you can make more than the owl with it. If you want to make the owl, you can place it over the picture on the card packaging itself or do it by eye (which the 6 year old did).The only slight issue I find with this size hama bead is getting them to stay stuck together. They take quite a bit of ironing to start the melting process and even then, due to their size, they often come apart. I now iron as usual and then once that is cool,

My 3 year old loved this set. It kept her occupied for ages and she was keen to complete it. The maxi beads are the perfect size for a 3 year old's hands. It comes with more beads than you need for one owl, so then you can let your creative juices flow.

Great for younger children who love the concept of the beads but would struggle with the standard (smaller) hama beads. Pattern is easy to follow and at last something my 4 year old can sit and do without needing any help!
