My 3 year old daughter really enjoyed playing with this set. It contains 3 threading cords, 3 plastic clasps to fasten together the finished neckaces / bracelets and 45 wooden beads. The set is really well thought out. Each cord has plastic at each end, like a shoelace, so the beads can easily be threaded on. There is a good selection of different sizes and shapes of beads. The tray layout makes it easy to select the different beads. Good for improving fine motor skills.The only downside is we paid £4.99 for a the set, which perhaps isn’t the best value for money for what was about an hour’s entertainment. My daughter made 3 necklaces in one sitting. She really enjoyed it though,

Product is small, around 20cm * 20cm. However this does not change the quality of the product my little girl loves the item. Definitely a toy for 4+ children as some beads are small. But for £2.99 I could not fault this item at all. This is the best price on the internet to buy this item. It is amazing for enhancing hand and eye coordination in any toddler. Plus it teaches a great amount of patience. Really good item. Would suggest to anyone to buy this product. To be fair any melllissa and Doug item cannot be faulted, my daughter has a collection of almost 30 of their development toys and not once have I ever felt like I waisted money on purchasing them.

I was recommended this type of beads to help my son with fine motor skills. I searched a lot and I could not find a “unisex” kit so I decided to get this purple one. The price was reasonable and a couple of them had issues, like not being able to get through the whole and that’s why I am not giving 5 startsPersonal opinion: Melissa and Doug is a known brand around moms and dads. They usually have great products but I though the could have done better with this one. Also, good idea to have something for the boys as well. My son would be much more interested in threading cars and buses than flowers...

I got this for a gift for to take to a school friendS3rd party. The recommended age is 4 but my 3 year old son can thread these size beads no problem. They are at a montisori nursery so this is a skill they are taught and are familiar with so I wouldn’t hesitate to get it. It was a little smaller than I was expecting but considering the price it is probably prettt reflective. Annoying i only had the option to buy two but I know we will have more parties coming up so I’ve put the second one away until it’s needed. Fast delivery and arrived in perfect condition.

Very small which had I realised I would not have purchased, however that is my error for not checking the size of the item properly. Looks good but not fantastic, box is a bit flimsy and the pictures painted on the jewellery are wonky and off centre in places. Bought as a gift which I haven’t given yet so can’t comment further. It’s fine as a small token gift or an add on gift to other presents but not suitable as a main gift for a 5 year olds birthday.

Just received it, bought it to give it to 3-4 year olds. I understand why some would think is a small looking box - it is because it is. About A5 size. But I paid £4 for it so am okay. I think it will engaging for young children (as is small, can be completed quickly enough) and at the same time will give them enough time to practise their motor skills and not to mention the creativity and fun but. Thanks

Great for a little gift for four year old. I've already bought three for various children birthday parties my daughter has been invited to. It's a prefect size and not too many to beads to annoy parents. It's great for any craft loving child. Price is totally reasonable it's on the smaller side as you can buy the larger version, but this is perfect for a 4-5 year old. Thinking of getting one for my girl.

This is great, I really don't get all the bad reviews. What do you expect for a fiver? It is small but perfect for little ones. I know my daughter will be so happy with it. She is 3. Really cute. It doesn't look like it comes from a pound shop, worth every penny. It is a lovely little set of beads. Good quality. I'm glad I recognized the bad reviews were from the moaners of this world and took a chance.

3 and 5 year old granddaughters enjoyed playing with this for a while r but it was down to me to put all the beads back in the box in a way that would allow the lid to be fitted to it. Lid only sits on the box meaning it needs to have rubber bands around it for storage. The ends of the strings are pointed which are easy to thread beads over. They’ll likely play with it a few times

It's a really lovely gift we received. My daughter really enjoyed making necklaces and bracelets. It's lovely quality and has a variety of shapes and colours. Only negative is there aren't enough strings or links/clasps really for the amount of beads, 5 would be perfect. We cut the strong and hand tied them together instead. Saying that I'd still recommend as a gift.

I like to give my niece and nephew presents which they can spend some time assembling, and then enjoy whatever it is they have made & customised. It helps keep them quiet for an hour on a rainy day, and maybe even helps nurture their creative skills. I think they are great presents, and the children enjoyed decorating them.

Beautiful beads for making necklaces bracelets or threading activities. I bought these beads as a gift for my 4 year old Niece, along with the other Melisa and Doug beads in the collection... and she loves them. The beads are very thick, value for money, bright colours and hours and hours of fun...

Perfect size for a gift for a nursery friend of my little boys. Very tiny but cute. Lovely wooden box. The beads are wood and are very pretty with lovely designs and beautiful colours. There is a larger box available to purchase but this is perfect for a small gift for a 4 year old girl.

Didn’t expect it the packaging to be so small but it’s great for 3 year old to make some jewellery with. Everything is included which you need. Lovely bright and beautiful colours and really does entertain my kids. My daughter sits for hours making necklaces.

Really lovely little bead set, such a nice birthday present. My 5 year old loves it. It is really great value. I love the Melissa and Doug gifts as they look a lot more expensive than they are. Would definitely recommend as a cute little gift.
