Brought for my 3 year old, after he was interested in the hama beads mini. But they are far too much for him, so tried the maxi hama beads he loved it. It got him using his fine motor skills, thinking skills and being careful to break/ knock them off (he isnt someone who is normally careful, but got it in the end). I would still advice to sit with them to do this activity, as it can be a little long. You got extra beads, which is nice but I would like enough to do another one which there isn't (that the reason for 1 less star). Will definitely be ordering more.

Bought for my niece as a 4th birthday present. She was able to do it in her own and enjoyed it. There are only enough beads to make 1 butterfly though so I have had to buy more beads so that she can make more. The toy has helped with her fine motor skills though and she is always very proud of Her creations once they are made! This was a perfect girft for a creative 4 year old!

My 2 1/2 yr old daughter loves this bead set and I do too,its great for little hands though she won't let me iron it yet,just puts the beads on the board then takes them off again. I onlygave it 4 stars as once the pack is opened there is nowhere to store the beads, would be better if it came in a box

got these hama maxi beads for my daughters 3rd birthday hoping they would keep her off her 6 year old sisters hama midi beads. did just the trick. she loved them! fantastic size for little fingers, and a really pretty picture to make. it even comes with a stand to put your creation in for display.

Lovely, simple design for small hands.My seven year old had the smaller HAMA beads but my five year old found these too challenging. These bigger beads were a hit.They take a bit longer to iron down but she was really happy that she had made her own HAMA design at the end.

I purchased this is addition to the harder Hama beads to allow the little girl to be able to achieve a result quickly before she moved on to the older Hama beads. She is just 5 and completed it easily but was thrilled to do it herself without any help

For my 3 year old who loved the big beads. The little beads are too fiddly for her little fingers so this was perfect. It is a kit, so once you've finished the butterfly, there are no more beads to make other patterns. Would recommend though.

This was a great gift for my 4 year old niece. With some help she made the design within the hour.The larger beads are the perfect size for a younger child when supervised.I also bought a tub of smaller Hama beads for her next step.

Me and my daughter enjoyed making this, she's 3.5 yearsShe's had the butterfly for ages now and still plays with itRecently bought the big box of beads for her Xmas which I'm sure she'll love too

This is a lovely item although I didn't realise that the starter kit has much bigger beads. Not what I was expecting butnothing wrong with this item for a beginner.

We bought this for my 4yr old daughters Christmas present but my 6 yr old son liked it so much he completed it in October.We will have to buy more for Christmas

Needed to buy a "cheap" present for a little Girl in my Son's Class. Didnt know what to buy and thought these Beads were a unique idea and reasonably priced
