Graphics are solid game play is good. There are 4 things that I look at...Price = great..Graphics - Game Play & Control = ok. It is not the greatest game but it is still entertaining even though you may do a little button mashing now and then. I would have been disappointed if I would have payed a lot for it but for under ten bucks it is a good buy.Your enemy has taken your Sacred Dragon and on your quest you are piecing together the Golden Axe. You can chop your enemies in half...you can cast a few spells that deal with fire. I'm not completely through it yet so I can not tell you about the ending but for under ten bucks it is a solid buy....between 3 and 4 stars.

Golden Axe is a really old side scrolled from back in the day. It was basically the game play you see in this game but in 2D. I liked the original Golden Axe games, but I bought this one for my collection because of the female lead character. There are times at which this game plays exactly like it's repetitive arcade counter-part and you'll find yourself pushing the same button for a few hours.None the less, I can look past the standard flaws of an under funded game if it is playable and I get to play a female character. I've a weakness for bloody games that allow me to chop things up as a barbarian girl.

fun and great EPIC game. it is quite hard to put it down. it is like the Conan game, plus some magic, plus some animals to ride on horseback. the detailed graphics/presentation are really good. the combat is repetitive but still fun. this game is not an easy game. there are a lot of enemies to take down that need a bit of strategy. there can be some difficult moments. overall, this is a difficult game but an excellent one.

Was really surprised by this game, the graphics are great, the game play is easy to handle, it makes enough connections back to the old platform golden axe game to take you back and just remind you what a big improvement they have made in gaming, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. It was delivered well in advance of the promised date and in outstanding condition, well packed.

Golden Axe rocks, SEGA rules and Tyris Flare is an awesome girl.... So... This game is amazing. no doubt there.

Not backwards compatible for xbox one but that has nothing to do with the game itself
