After ringing several London pubs (who on their website advertised that they had board games) I found out none of them had chess sets. So... the only way my friend and I were to gaurantee we could meet for a pint and play chess was to get our own game. This GoKi wooden chess set seemed the ideal buy being mid-price and fold-up. The board and pieces are light and have a smooth finish. The pieces come in 2 sealable bags that fit neatly inside the folded board and if you want to be ultra-organised there are elasticated holding straps for each piece in the board underlining. Although not a large chess set it is certainly big enough for sitting at a pub table and fits comfortably inside a shoulder

Bought this for my 9 yr old grandson for christmas as he is just learning to play chess. It was a bit smaller than i expected, but handy to be able to fold it up and keep the pieces inside.
