My partner is studying Microbiology in University and I bought this as a novelty present. They're a good size, and made of high quality material that is softer than it looks in the picture. The package arrived very quickly - a few days after ordering, and the seller even included a little packet of cola bottles which I thought was a nice touch. The series of giant microbes is an interesting and unique line, and although I won't be using them for educational purposes, I think they would be very suitable in a classroom. Much more interactive than pictures on a slideshow!

We all know that these toys are educational, with a nicely phrased card attached including a picture of "the real deal". My son learned some facts about brain cells but frankly, why do we buy them? Because they're compellingly cute, so much cuter than their real life counterparts. This one is no exception, it's durable, sweet and didn't take up much space in a Christmas stocking width wise, what more can one ask?

I bought this little fellow as a gift for a slightly nerdy friend and he really loved it.The product photo is a good representation of the real thing, although a bit smaller than I would have expected for the price. It's quality is also a little poor; it's made out of a cheap feeling velour type material. Still, a very cute product though.

I absolutely adore the Giant Microbes!I have been collecting the pets, calamities and exotics ranges of diseases since starting my nurse training. The brain cell seemed a good way to celebrate passing some exams!I love the little card that comes attached to your Giant Microbe giving interesting information about your cell or disease.

The giant microbe series are awesome. They are brilliant to use when teaching medical history and add a bit of fun for lesson plenaries (who can catch this disease). While they say giant (and they are giant compared to the real thing) these toys are not giant but more like 5 - 8cm across.

I’m a neuroscience researcher so I bought this for myself, and it now sits in a place of prominence on my desk. Wish it was a bit bigger but the quality is fantastic!

Please note that the toy is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. However, good service, product arrived in good time and in condition specified. Many Thanks.

Bought as a present for a friend post brain surgery. It was extremely well received and is a very cute little guy, quality fabric and a good size for the price.
