GHD has always been the best brand for hair straighteners so I was hoping this hair dryer would be on par with their straighteners.So I pre-ordered the hair dryer and have been waiting for it to be delivered. It finally arrived today and I could not wait to open it.Well, the suspense was over and wow.. it was so worth the wait!! The first thing you notice is that it looks amazing!! So slick and smooth.. yes it’s a hair dryer but omg I loved it already! It has a very nice smooth design and the two tone colour makes it look so good. The build quality is also good and the product very well made. Taking it out the box you will notice right away that it is extremely light at only 510g (little heavier than the Dyson supersonic)The dryer is also extremely comfortable to hold and very well balanced with its weight distribution.In case you are wondering, the Helios is available in four colours – black and silver , navy blue and black, maroon and gold, and white and gold. As you will see I went for the white and gold which I think looks very luxurious and classy. I am a bit concerned about how clean it will remain but with a bit of looking after I’m sure it will be fine.The drying results..Well the dryer has a output of 2,200W,so very powerful and compared to the Dyson it is 600w more powerful! This means that it can seriously dry your hair fast!! I have fairly long (below shoulder length hair) and honestly it took me less than 2 minutes to dry it!! Correct less than 2 minutes to dry my hair!! And the results were amazing! So good that I did not even need to use the straighteners.. the finish was nice, smooth and silky hair! Frizz all gone!Using the hair dry is a delight, it is very quiet and so fast to dry. It has a number of speed settings including cold shot which all helps with the final finish.The one thing I have noticed is that it does not give your hair much volume, it drys it pretty flat. So if it’s volume you are after this might not be for you. It also does not have a defuser attachment.Overall I would say this is an excellent hair dryer, it is a little expensive but worth the investment. Compared to the Dyson supersonic (which my mum has) I would say this is the better buy, not only for the price but for the results. Its light weight, looks good and provides excellent results! Well done GHD, another fine product!Update after 5 days... we’ll still amazing.. used on my daughter hair and looks amazing!! Love itAnother Update: if buying again I would avoid the white colour. You can see every little mark on it and it just makes it look old.. stick with a darker colour.

came across it as my hairdresser uses it and it has a much longer cord than the usual hairdryers do. This coupled which a wonderfully strong motor which dries my hair so quickly in the morning. Since my daughter has used her as well as my granddaughter they love it as it is so quick and easy to use. Easy to use hairdryer with diffuser. I do like it. It's very lightweight and easy to grip. At such a low price, this feels a quality item to the touch. Variable heat settings is a nice touch so as to not harm your hair or head. I can confirm it does dry my hair quite quickly. It is small and portable enough to take with you if you are going on holiday or for a swim. hairdryer works like a dream.It is something that I think any salon or beautician owner would be happy to own. This particular hairdryer comes with two defusing tools as well. There is a button to use so that strictly cold air is flowing out of the nozzle on the hairdryer. There are 3 heat levels. My daughters and I all have very long hair and this dried our hair in record-breaking time Powerful hair dryer, I like how it dries hair. Good size, convenient to take with you on the road or to the pool. Beautiful, stylish, painted in gray and pink colors.High-speed motor, up to 18,000 rpm,dries thick hair well. Convenient handle, easy to use I have thick, shoulder length hair. After shampooing I usually keep it gently towel wrapped 10 minutes to absorb water before blow drying. Was running late the other day and had to take off towel after just minutes but it didn't matter. This dryer is so powerful I was dried and styled in 15 minutes. The feature I really like is the infrared because you can see the light on your hair and tell where the dryer is aimed this is especially helpful when working with sides and towards back. I also like that the infrared goes off when you press the cool shot button so you know the temp is lowering. Has a good reputation and was initially recommended by a barber, who uses it all day long. used this type of professional hairdryer for many years. It is efficient with good quality heating coil. Only downside worth mentioning is the filter. It is fairly easy to break the tiny lugs off the filter surround, which then renders the filter useless as it can't stay in place The hair dryer looks do beautiful and luxurious! Really like the colours! It is very powerful, the cord is very long, which is very useful, it comes with two nozzles and one diffuser. It has cool wind button and hanging hook. My hair dries very fast.

Well, this really is a super hairdryer that’s for sure, but then you’d expect it to be given the price point and that it’s been developed by Ghd.So to the look, feel and functionality. The Helios hairdryer is fairly lightweight and nicely weighted in your hand. The operational switches are in easy reach so you can change them easily in the middle of the drying process. The construction and quality is exceptional, it really does look like a quality product and the gold accents with the burgundy body really sets it apart visually. The burgundy colour itself is lovely and deep, really luxurious looking.The dryer comes with a long cable, enabling you to use it even if your socket isn’t immediately under where you’re drying your hair.Also great when you go away when sockets never seem to be beside the mirror (why IS that?!). It has a sturdy loop at the junction of the cable and the dryer, so if you want to hang it when it’s not in use it’s easy to do.The dryer has all the settings you would expect, three heat settings which you can tell the difference in temperature in use (I’ve had plenty that don’t!), 2 speed settings (again they are actually different speed in practice too!) and a large cool shot button which gives blasts of cool air when needed for setting purposes.So how does it perform? Fabulously is the answer. It’s quieter than any other hairdryer I’ve had previously, it’s quicker and leaves my hair with no frizz, shiny and smooth, even without product! Your style certainly looks more salon than home style after using the Helios, so no complaints there!I do have a few niggles though. Firstly it doesn’t come with a diffuser attachment, which for the price is a bit remiss in my view. It also doesn’t have a storage bag, which is a real shame, as the box it comes with is really lovely quality, but you don’t want to keep it in the box as it’s too bulky. So I think for the price point I think it needs a quality storage bag to keep the precious Helios in and prevent it getting scratched from storage. Even the last ghd straighteners I had a lovely zippable storage case, so not quite sure why something isn’t provided here.So, in summary this is a quality product at a premium price and gives fab frizz free drying. However, for me it needs to offer better value for money for the price point, and an included diffuser and a quality storage bag would be a good starting point. This doesn’t take away from the quality of the product, but it loses a star for the price from me.

I haven't had an opportunity to try ghd products before so I was very excited to try this one. The Helios hairdryer is full-sized hairdryer but is more compact than regular ones and is slightly more lightweight (615 grams compared to 670 grams for my other full-sized hairdryer) which makes it easier to manoeuvre and use over an extended period of time. However, given how powerful it is (2200 W heating element and a high-speed fan) it can dry your hair in minutes, depending on the length, but do note that it isn't that fast if your hair is completely wet. My current fan does not have the negative ion generator that this ghd fan has and my hair used to be frizzy after blowdrying.I can definitely tell the difference between the two, however, the hair is certainly less frizzy but not completely, but having this feature is very welcome.The hairdryer has a fine mesh on the intake that can be easily removed and cleaned, the cool shot button is quite large so it is easy to locate and press, the hook for hanging is flexible and has a large opening so it is easy to quickly hang it, however, I never liked the way the wire is bend when the hairdryer is hanged as it may cause damage as it did to one of my previous hairdryers after six years of use. The accompanying nozzle concentrates the air so you get very precise results, however, I would have wished if they included some other nozzles, such as diffuser and moulding ones. The cable is 2.85 meters long which gives you plenty of range so the reach is not an issue. I also expected a travel pouch given the price as some people like to store their hairdryers in the drawer, and the pouch can protect it from scratches.Overall, this hairdryer gives amazing results as you would expect given it is a professional and well-designed product, however, I feel that ghd branding inflates the price of this hairdryer and even though it might be worth the price, I still like my cheaper hairdryer from the well-known brand as it works perfectly fine for my needs and costs third of the price.

Having owned the Air for several years, the wife was quite looking forward to her new upgrade and she absolutely loves it! The Helios comes delivered in nicely designed GHD retail box and along with the hair dryer you get a concentrator nozzle, the dryer has a generous 3m long power cable attached with a UK plug.Similar in design to the Air, the Helios still retains its good looks but the quality of the materials used look and feel nicer, its about half as heavy though which does make it feel a bit cheaper but the wife loved this and it was the first thig she commented on about it. The buttons feel nice to press and the silicone hanging loop is a nice upgrade over the plastic one of the Air,you also get a slightly longer and thinner nozzle with the Helios.The performance of this dryer is very impressive, and it can dry long hair in no time, the motor is very powerful, and it really kicks out a lot of air, even I was impressed. The three temperature and two speed settings mean you can get it just right for you and it doesn’t get hot enough to damage your hair, the wife commented how she doesn’t get much frizz when using it so the tech inside the dryer really works, you do suffer a bit of a loss in volume though apparently. Part of the reason she thinks it’s so efficient is the weight; she couldn’t get over how much easier, precise and well balanced it is.Overall, the wife is thrilled with this dryer and after using it for several weeks its easily the best one she’s ever owned. For a hair drier it does seem expensive but its still cheaper than other brands yet it performs just as good if not better and people seem to love GHD, my wife also has the straighteners amongst several other items so this has been an excellent addition to the collection. If you’re in the market for a new hair dryer or you have the Air and would like an upgrade, then we highly recommend this product and feel its easily worth the full five stars!

The hairdryer arrived in a very nice lift top ghd emboss branded box with the hairdryer set into a plastic moulding along with the bespoke contoured nozzle, under this it had the linked three meter power lead and instruction manual.First impressions: you can see and feel this is of good quality and has fine attention to detail along with high quality finishing, it is quite heavy but not unexpected due to the high power and performance, and it comes with a tag at the bottom near to the plug with a hologram to ensure product authenticity. The manual is multilingual and easy to follow having linked diagrams going through all the functions and features.I have my two daughters in the house alongwith my wife all very keen to try this; my daughter tried it first and says she really likes the adjustable power along with switchable temperature saying it’s a lot quicker and far more effective than the one she normally uses. My wife used it next and again liked the precise control and switchable modes along with particularly liking the cool shot button, both my daughter and my wife thought the bespoke contoured nozzle worked really well and liked it.My youngest is not old enough to dry her own hair so I dried it for her and certainly found it very quick and simple to use, the adjustment is easy yet very effective and I found it comfortable to hold and manipulate, it has been used numerous times now and my daughters and wife love it.Overall a high quality product that really delivers great results and as I can’t fault it I have given top marks.

My old hairdryer was on it's last legs and I was looking for a replacement. It took me a while to make a decision whether to buy this one because of the price. With Amazon offering to spread the cost over 5 months, I took a chance with the intention to return if it wasn't worth it.Sounds mad but I knew I was onto something just by seeing the box which is very high quality. Once I delved inside I was even more excited. I ordered the black version and the matte finish with chrome accents screamed professional.One use was all it took to ensure I was keeping it. It's not the lightest nor quietest hairdryer I've ever had but that's more than made up for in it's performance.I have fine platinum blonde hair which can be difficult to tame due to flyaways and frizz. This hairdryer not only dried my hair in record time but also left it far smoother and shinier than I've ever managed to achieve without straighteners. A quick run over with my GHD straightners after and the result was just as good as any I've had coming out of the salon.This hairdryer is the ultimate example of getting what you pay for and I can confidently say I will never go cheaper again.The only potential drawback is the amount of heat thrown out by the unit. It gets hot, really hot and it's easy to burn your scalp if you don't have your wits about you.Give it a try, you won't regret it

My partner has been a huge fan of all things GHD for years. When the time come to replace her hairdryer this was the only option as her previous GHD hairdryer was damaged and it was replaced with a lesser model which only lasted six months and I'm convinced my other half broke it on purpose because she really didn't like it after the GHD. This new model has some subtle design changes specifically the size of the high flow nozzle being a bit tighter to give even more strength and direct airflow. In addition there is also now a hook near the power lead which enables you to hang the hairdryer at a convenient location rather than having to put it on the floor or down on the make up table.Simply put a screw in hooks at the side of her make up table and she had an instant hairdryer holder!Yes it is not the cheapest hairdryer in fact it cost substantially more than most others however the last one was nearly 5 years old when it was damaged and I expect this will last equally as long so you really do get what you pay for the replacement unit that she had for six months felt a lot more flimsy and was nowhere near as good according to her at drying hair long hair.

Well, this is a great hairdryer that helps you to achieve salon worthy styling at home - even if you aren’t that great styling your own hair normally, like me.This is a stylish dryer, as well as a powerful one. There are two speed settings and you can feel the power as soon as you switch on at the lower setting. Despite that, you don’t end up with a windswept look, quite the opposite. In addition to the two power settings, there are three heat settings, plus a cool shot button. Don’t throw the packaging away as there is a concentrator nozzle in the box, which is easily overlooked as it disappears into the black tray lining.Disappointingly for a dryer at this price point, there isn’t a storage pouch included,so think about keeping it in the box as that will help keep the dust off. Speaking of dust, there is a grille covering the air inlet, which helps prevent dust, hair and other detritus being sucked inside. The grille cover twists off and on so that you can clean it with ease.It is a lovely dryer that looks good as well as helps to ensure your hair looks good as well.

GHD Helios Hair Dryer - Professional Hairdryer (Navy) is one of the best hairdryers I have had the pleasure of using and the added ease it provides me with when it comes to helping me style and blow-dry my hair is well worth the price tag.I have always loved GHD products as they are made to make styling hair an easier and quicker past time as well as looking after the health of your hair making sure it looks and feels as good as it can be. I have found with cheaper models which are not designed with the health of your hair in mind, my hair always looked fluffier and the roots would not hold the volume I would need to make my hair look less flat mainly because the hot air came out too quick a blast as well as the angle of the airflow not hitting the hair follicle correctly.GHD certainly know what your hair wants and needs and with the design of this it is so easy to blow-dry my hair.This is a great styling aid for your hair, I love using as it helps me blow-dry my hair so well it looks like I have had a professional blow-dry.Happy to recommend.

I’ve got this for my partner and feedback is coming from her.Never owned anything from the brand, but my hairdresser is using the same and creating amazing looks. So I wanted to try it out myself. I have long hair, almost to the middle of my back, so drying and styling my hair was always time consuming, took around 35-40 minutes, so I were only doing it every 3-4 days. This hair drier is a different level. Has 2 speed setting and also a cold air dryer button, which I tend to use over the hot one. Can’t really talk much about the technical part, but I can say is definitely drying my hair quicker then my cheaper one.Saving around 10-15 minutes of drying and styling each time, which is great.The loop on the hair dryer is great, means that I can hook it up on my dresser, also beneficial for hair stylist.I’ve got the plum colour one, with rose gold. Very stylish. And the box is talking for itself. Absolutely brilliant quality and durable, lush looking, perfect for a valuable gift. If it would last me a few year, then I’ll be very happy with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My current GHD Air has been a solid companion for over 4 years so it was going to take something special for my head to turn. After unboxing the new model and holding it in my hand it was noticeably lighter, turning it on it felt really powerful although I was yet to use it on my hair. On my first blow dry it was not over powered at all it dried my hair very efficiently, it is difficult to explain but the air blowing felt very smooth. The lightness of the dryer in your hand makes a surprising improvement to the whole ease of use it is also quieter than my GHD Air. I was pleased to find it still maintains a good cable length which feels tough but flexes with ease,however there was only one attachment included in the box and previous models attachments are incompatible. I have always stored my dryer on the hook by the cable end the design has altered slightly buy it is still great practical strap. I would whole heartedly recommend this hair dryer and it is my new favorite!

I do not understand why a humble hairdryer can cost as much as this Helios Hair Dryer from GHD, but my wife has stated at how great this hairdryer is and still singing it’s praise.First of all, the hairdryer is weighty which gives it a quality feel as well as a reassurance of the quality material that is used inside the casing. This can, however, be a hindrance as prolonged use can fatigue the arm. However this hairdryer is powerful, it made short work of my short hair, literally blew it completely dry in under a minute. There are three heat settings and two-speed settings to help with the blow-dried style that you need.There is also another technology called ionic technology which is incorporatedinto the hairdryer that results in smoother hair as well as reducing frizzy hair.This hairdryer from GHD is definitely a luxurious piece of kit that looks classy as well as sophisticated, it does come at a price but with the results that my wife is claiming, it’s well worth it.

I bought this hair dryer during lockdown as an extravagant treat for myself. I previously had a GHD Air hairdryer that worked fine. Well... This hair dryer is totally fabulous!! It's much lighter (my arm doesn't ache now after drying) and is much quicker at drying my hair. I have long, thick, curly hair which is a nightmare to straighten. I can now blow dry my hair straight with this hair dryer without needing to use straighteners after! I now only use straighteners on days two and three to smooth it over. This hair dryer doesn't feel as hot either, the air is cooler but the end result is so much smoother. I'm sure this is better for my hair. If you're thinking of upgrading, do it!Particularly if you have long hair to dry. My only grumble is my diffuser (for keeping my curls when blow drying) that I used with the GHD Air doesn't fit this hair dryer. There doesn't seem to be one available for this hair dryer yet, but I'm hopeful one will be coming along soon.

Jeesis is the first word that comes to my head when i think of the new ghd helios hairdryer. I bought it as a replacement to my ghd air i had which gave up unexpectantly. So i was torn didnt know wether to go another ghd hairdryer. But took the plunge and my husband ordered it for me. It is a really nice colour but honestly oh my god what a bloody power is in it for drying your hair! I honestly feel like its a jumbo jets turbo jets blowing in my hair. I honestly stand and dry my hair for even longer for no real need except for enjoying the power of the helios! Even my 2 year old toddler who normally loves getting his hair dried doesnt like the power of the helios!Honestly i do reccomend it my hair is shinier healthier looking and thats during a pandemic with no cut or colour for like 3 months! I do like getting my hair done regularly. So go for it you wont be disappointed. It is light but not like oh my god its light as a feather.
