This is by far the best hairdryer I've used. I have mix-textured Afro-Asian hair and choose to blowdry my hair after washing. I use one of those thermal roller brushes whilst blowdrying to help stretch the hair out due to shrinkage and this leaves my 4a/4b hair looking silky, smooth and somewhat straight-ish. Me and my mum use it and we both suffer from Fibromyalgia so tend to get aches in our wrists and arms, however this is quite lightweight so it a lot more ergonomical to hold. My only complaint is that it gets really hot even on the lower heat setting: at times feels like it's burning my scalp. Definitely make sure to plaster that heat protection on,

Fabulous hairdryer, used by pretty much every hairdresser I've ever been to. Bought to replace my old Parlux which finally gave out after about 12 years long service in daily use! I thought I'd go for the slightly more expensive version this time for the weight reduction and I'm really happy to report that it is just as powerful as the old one, with a noticeable but not massive weight reduction. In conjunction with my ceramic barrelled round bristle brush (GHD), it leaves my shoulder length thick frizzy hair straight and silky in 10 minutes without the need for any straightening irons afterwards. At the price I think it is so worth the money, especially since I gave up the GHD straighteners years ago and they are more expensive than this,

This is without a doubt the best hair tool I have ever had, I have had straighteners, blowing brush things, curling irons you name it, but I was never really satisfied with the results, the irons for instance flatten yes, but flatten the life out of my hair!For anyone trying to decide I think the key is what is your hair like to begin with? For instance on my daughters fine straight hair, it didn't look any different.However on mine it performs miracles! My hair is thick, there is tonnes of it, (hairdressers always comment and seem quite surprised how long it takes to dry) it's frizzy and has weird kinks all over the place, previously it always looked better the day after washing when it had calmed down a bit.

Best hair dryer I have ever owned and I've had quite a few. I have shoulder length, thick coarse hair which is difficult to style. Even after years of practice, it would still feel a big job to wash and style my hair. Not anymore. I thought I was being way to extravagant buying a dryer at this price, but I can honestly say that I don't regret it now I have it. It is amazing. This wee machine is so light and yet so powerful and it has halved the time it takes to do my hair. Cool blast is great as well so I don't get too hot anymore either.I am a total convert and will recommend this hair dryer to anyone. I'm so happy.

So love this dryer it makes washing my hair a pleasure not a burden. I purchased two - one for me and my daughter because she preferred it to her own which was another high street brand and she likes her hair straight. My hair is wavy and it copes with curls really well, providing you also use a good brush.It's lightweight, has a good nozzle on the end for making the hair feel smoother, straighter and less frizzy if held correctly. The powerful motor dries hair quicker than other types I've used over the years and it is not too noisy.

...I've been thinking about getting a decent hairdryer for ages. I thought it was all marketing hype. I previously had a standard Babylis and I thought I'd wait for it to die until I replaced. Anyway, I borrowed a friend's and saw the difference a decent dryer makes. I quickly ordered myself this and consigned the Babylis to a drawer. It's so great at smoothing out the hair and drying quickly. It's especially good if you've just had a fringe cut in and are having anightmare with it (aka me!).

Excellent! I have fine hair that I'm useless at styling. I used to rely on a straighter to try and tidy up the mess I made of drying it but this dries my hair so quickly that I no longer need a straighter as it dries it in the exact direction that I want. No fly away bits. Several people have asked me if I've gotten my 'hair done'. It's very light, powerful and quick but not noisy. I LOVE it and would never be without again. Worth every penny.

Absolutely love this hairdryer. Really lightweight so great for packing on holiday and comfortable to hold. It's quiet but powerful so hair dries much quicker than any other dryer I have used and it really does leave hair amazingly soft. Mine is very curly but my brush just glides through leaving it smooth and frizz free! I loved it so much I bought a spare. I would definitely recommend.

I bought this as a present for my wife. Read a lot of reviews but settled on this one as my wife said it had to be light and powerful.It is both. She loves it and said it dried her hair really quickly and and found it was very easy to style it how she wanted.I know other people will probably go into more details about the device but she is happy so I'm in her good books.

I am delighted with my hairdryer it's made such a difference to my hair, my hair colour was so shiny and healthy looking after using it , that I cancelled my hairdressers appointnent saving me £70 this nearly paid for the hairdryer. I have bloned highlights and my hair is very dry and Thin, no more frizzy hair and straightening...and it's fast......

Bought this to replace the missus aging professional hairdryer. This is a very expensive hairdryer if you discount the ridiculous Dyson one (which is awful so I hear) but it’s worth it.Really well made and powerful. It’s not what I would call quiet, but it’s not overly noisy either.It dries hair so quickly the noise is done pretty quick anyway.

I bought this over a year ago and have used it almost every day - the reason I thought it worth the investment. It’s powerful, fast and sturdy with a long lead, a cool setting and a good nozzle. It saves time with every use. I have never tried a better hairdryer - and have seen this brand used by many hair stylists. Would strongly recommend.

What a fabulous hairdryer. This hairdryer is lightweight and easy to use. It is powerful, does not create too much heat and dries my hair quickly and leaves it straight, reducing the need for straighteners. I really wish I'd heard of parlux years ago. I would highly recommend and have already gave my positive feedback to the manufacturer.

Professional hairdresser here and blow dries are my thing... lightweight , easy to use and value for money. If blowdrying fine hair or frizzy hair-Only use medium heat as gets extremely hot. Great add on purchase- the silencer for the back- it doesn’t completely cut out noise but can notice a difference. Diffuser not so impressed with.

Pros: Dries my hair effectively and quickly, but not too hot for my fine, colour-treated hair; not too noisy. Cons: It's too easy to knock the controls unintentionally [due to their position]; I find it slightly heavy [but then I've been used to using a very light travel dryer]. Overall though, a good purchase for me.
