Any hair dryer is going to have good and bad things and things that are missing to make it the perfect hair dry. You can't have it all and thats fine. I would recomend this hair dryer, just make sure you know what in for and you won't be disapointed, common sense.Last month I had purches the Ghd hair dryerr. I have thick course curly mixed race hair, that is manageable. To be honest I've never bought a hair dryer that was on the expensive range until I bought this hair dyer. This blow dryer honestly is a decent hair dryer but remember not very one has the same type of hair, so we all get differrent results.Pros: 1) It blows air very strongy and blows it very direct so that drys the hair fast.I think that is what is more focused on this product to mantain the integrity of your hair and not to burn your hair with intence heat.2) The ion technology built in also really helps to smooth out your hair and gives a silky shine finnish to your hair.3) it's not as noisy as some dryers are. That shocked me because this dryer blows alot of air, it's powerful then a blow dryer you buy at a drug store.Cons: 1) If you have hair like mine after you've blow dried each section, your going to have to finnish each section with a flat iron if you want it silky stright, because the heat is not as strong as it needs to be for thick curly course hair. But it does help me cut time doing my hair, I get my hair done alot faster using this dryer.2) you have to hold down on the cool shot button and it tiers your finger down holding it because the spring is strong inside the button.3) The air vent grill in the back does not open for you to clean it properly. For something you play over or anywhere near a hunderd dollars it should absolutely be able to open the grill where the air gets suck in order to clean any hair that that gets traped in there. Cleaning it with a a soft brisle toothbrush is not enough to do the job right, common sense wise.So in the end it's up to you if you choose to purches this product. I did my research through other reviews and the pros and cons where similar to what I've said when it comes to me hair type and I still chosed this hair dryer and I don't regrert it at all i. It has helped me alot doing my hair. With dedication I get great result as if a came out of a hair salon. I hope my review helps anyone understand what there in for buying product, I think you won't regert it.

It is no exaggeration to say that I was DESPERATE. My hair was becoming frizzier and more impossible to handle with each passing day. I tried some products, but nothing reduced the frizzy patches. It finally occurred to me that the only time my hair looked smooth and silky was after I left the hair salon. Thinking that perhaps the quality of the hair dryer might make a difference, I did a little research and decided on the ghd dryer. Although it is more expensive than anything I've ever purchased for my hair, it has been a life-changing experience. It dries my hair quickly, but best of all my hair is swingy and shiny, and I can tame those frizzy patches.I had begun to DREAD drying my hair because I could NEVER get it right....Now I actually look forward to it!!! I think it must be a trade secret that the quality of the hair dryer is a key component to the hair salon look, and I feel like I've been let into a secret club. I will never buy a cheap hair dryer again--even though I am an incredibly frugal person. I figure if I spend the money to get my hair cut and colored, the day to day experience of drying it to my liking more than adequately justifies the high initial cost of the dryer. THIS HAIR DRYER WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE! :)

I bought one for myself and one for my sister and we're both really really pleased.Not going to lie, we were attracted by the fact it has GHD written on the label as we love our straighteners, but were initially put off by the price - please don't be!I have medium length fine blonde hair (but lots of it so my hairdresser tells me!) and found my old hairdryer would leave my hair quite frazzled, even with a cold blast to finish off - this hair dryer leaves my hair feeling soft/silky and it definitely takes half the time to dry! My hair is reasonably naturally straight but now I can get away with not straightening.My sister has shorter red coloured hair with short layers and this leaves her hair smooth and takes minutes to dry.And her colour doesn't seem to fade as quickly - big bonus.It's lighter than most hair dryers, definitely quieter, and you get two funnel attachments (defo not the correct terminology but hopefully you know what I mean!). We both use these as it gives more control and definition when shaping your hair, and your hair doesn't frazzle or frizz when using a hairbrush.Overall we're both chuffed with our new hairdryers and have recommended to all our family and friends :)

I work for a distributor that carries ghd along with other manufacturers and as a consultant I always steer my customers towards ghd. The materials and technology that are used are far more superior to everything else we sell. The fact that they last much longer for professional use is a HUGE difference from my standpoint. The company genuinely cares about only putting their name on the best quality and backing up their standards with an awesome warranty. Coming from another brand it took a little time to get used to where the settings are placed but that is more of a personal thing. It has great airflow and temperature settings that allow me to either get hair dried quickly or slow it down some for doing different styles.The cord is long, so I have no problem moving around with it and it is constructed so it doesn't get twisted. I love the fact that the side has a portion that is non skid material so if I set it down it's not going to slide and fall off the counter. I could go on and on, but all in all, I absolutely love my ghd and will never buy anything else! ♡

I’ll start by saying I am a male, and how this review came about is like this. I like to buy my wife things for Christmas that she would never expect, in other words not like an iPad or Apple Watch etc etc. So I decided this year I would try and find something that would help her get out the door earlier in the mornings or to bed quicker at night. I noticed that it becomes more and more difficult for the both of us to be on time when we have 2 toddlers but more so for her. Watching her have to stand there and blow dry her hair for what seems like an eternity, I don’t know how she does it. I researched like a mad man to find the best product for that job.Not only was she surprised that her husband bought a hairdryer but when she tried it the first time, that’s when it really set in on how special the gift was. Ghd’s air dryer is so quiet and drys so fast and with still keeping your hair safe. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of this hairdryer, it’s nice to see some companies still just take that extra step to make a great quality product.

This dryer is amazing!I usually avoid using a hair dryer as it makes my hair really frizzy (I have dry, textured hair) however after using this dryer in a salon and loving the results bought one myself.When I just dry my hair using the Ghd air dryer and my fingers it does dry quicker and was less frizzy... But it was still frizzy just not as bad - I was disappointed at first because I expected my hair to be even less frizzy, however I then tried it out using a roll brush section by section... And my god was I pleased with results!! I have never been able to dry my hair with a dryer and not have to straighten it after! It felt so silky and smooth and looked so silky and smooth.Where has this air dryer been all my life!!Only downside if I had to pick one would be it is slightly heavy, but it is to be expected for a salon professional air dryer with the power it has. Also due to temperature change it doesn't burn your scalp like other hair dryers can. Overall I rate the dryer it is excellent and every girl should have one!

I could see straight away the quality is great, not flimsy, plasticy or cheap feel or looking. Love having two different sized nozzles (but the bag is a bit tight for storing dryer with nozzle in place, but I manage). Definitely haïr is smoother and dries really quickly. Takes a bit of getting used to like all new things. I personally find the placement of controls such that I kept accidentally changing settings with the hand I was holding the dryer with - maybe just me - but I hold it slightly differently now and it's ok, once you get used to the weight of a quality professional product like this. Overall I love it! In conjunction with my GHDs it gives amazing results and seriously could not live without the straighteners!How anyone ever managed before them, I can't remember! They have seriously changed my life (and that of all friends who have them). I can get a salon finish at home which i could never achieve with my frizzy, thick hair. Now all I need is a decent smoothing brush and comb .....

I am overall very happy with this hairdryer. I have long, thick, straight hair and it was taking me more than 30 minutes to blow dry my hair with a drug store dryer. I researched new hairdryers and found this to be highly rated for my hair type. First, I love that it now only takes 10-15 minutes to dry my hair, tops! That extra 15 minutes in the morning is a lifesaver! Second, the "cool" feature is great; it works quickly and is easily accessible. Third, it's much quieter than any hairdryer I've used, which is a relief for my ears! Last, love the different heat and air levels; all my family can use it!However, I noticed my hair was flatter than normal, which is always an issue for me because of my thick,straight hair. I learned that this dryer is ionic, which is great, but I'm not able to turn the ion feature off. I've done best when I can use the ion feature on most of my hair, and turn it off when styling my roots so I have more body.Overall would highly recommend this dryer!

If you buy one hairdryer this year....get this one!I was sceptical about spending so much after my last one (other brand) conked out. However the previous reviews were spot on and I'm so glad I went for it and, during the sale promotion too.The hairdryer is weighty but light. If you've held one you'll know what I mean. The weight is excellently balanced so your arm doesn't get tired, the buttons are all within easy reach and the cool shot button means your style keeps for so much longer.I can't believe at last that you get not one, but too very thin different width nozzles included in the box. (You can't believe my disappointment when I stay at a hotel and you open the bag to see an inch wide nozzle or worse still,no nozzle at all. This may seem like a small point but I have very fine hair which curls at the slightest drop of moisture)!and at last... a powerful hairdryer that's fairly quiet.I am now considering buying the diffuser next.Well done GHD :-)

With a matt black finish and beautiful metal etched fan cover, this is a good looking piece of design with a practical long cable.The hairdryer is a comfortable weight, feeling substantial yet manageable.The reviews claim "the best blow dry of your life" and I can concur. I have very basic blow-drying skills, I usually simply blast my thick hair in boredom until dry and ready to ghd straighten. However I now spend around 5-10mins (rather than 10-15) making my hair look healthier, sleeker and less frizzy.I feel my hair isn't subjected to too much heat. The instant high power means I can vary temperature and the interchangeable nozzles direct this power to my hair, helping keep it relatively sleek while drying.Fast,powerful, easy - what more could you want?Hopefully I've now freed up some time to get more creative with my do!ghd you are the dyson of the hairdrying world, keep innovating this sector and keep the quality products coming!

I am mainly Scottish/Irish descent with dark hair that is very dry, curly, and coarse. I bought this hairdryer because my old hairdryer started singeing off pieces of my hair and left my hair feeling extra dry, brittle, and riddled with split ends that looked like the ends of fiber-optics . I have been using ghd straighteners for roughly 7 years, so I thought I would give their hairdryer a chance. It has been such an amazing purchase thus far! My blow-drying time hasn't been shortened, however, the texture of my hair has greatly improved. I've never owned a hairdryer that actually made my hair feel healthier. It makes me happy that I can blow-dry my hair straight,and know that my natural curls won't compromised by the styling. To top it all off, ghd has wonderful customer service, and fantastic warranties... I'm in love with my hairdryer. All I can say is, higher quality styling products equals happier, healthier hair! definitely worth it!

This is an excellent hairdryer: it has 3 settings (cool-ish, pretty hot, actual fire) and a cool shot. On the medium temperature, with the aid of my double-sided hairbrush, it dries my nightmare hair into something resembling straight in much less time than my (also pretty good but sadly broken) old hairdryer.If I divide my hair properly and use the cool shot, I only need to run the straighteners over it once, not over and over again, in the hope that it might last. If I am in a rush, I can even get away with running just the top through with straighteners to add a bit more shine and it actually lasts fairly straight and not too frizzy underneath.The only thing I'm not keen on is having thebuttons at the back as I'm used to them being on the side where you can reach them with your thumb while you're going, rather than continually having to stop to change the setting. But overall it is an excellent hairdryer so would recommend.

On my first attempt with using the GHD Air I looked like a crazy scarecrow! It takes a little bit if getting used to (e.g the hot is VERY hot!), I'm talking days not weeks, but once you've got the hang of it, it's amazing!It DOES give you a good hair day everyday! I have quite fine hair - the kind that I would dry with a normal hair dryer and as soon as it was introduced to a tiny particle of moisture in the air it would start to curl at the ends and go frizzy - that doesn't happen anymore. I do my hair in the morning and it pretty much stays the same all day.Another benefit of it looking great everyday is that I'm able to leave longer between hair cuts - I'm not getting to that annoying point so soon where 'yesterday I loved my hair and today,well, it's a mess and desperately needs cutting!'I wouldn't say using the Air cuts drying time by 50% for me. But I'd imagine it might for someone with long/thick hair.

I purchased the Air Hair Dryer at the GHD black Friday sale as a Christmas gift for myself (I usually prep my hair w/heat treatment products and let it air dry before using my GHD flat iron). I needed a gift for a family member and decided to give it to her. When she opened the package she looked disappointed, and I tried to explain the GHD product line was the best. She didn't look convinced. I sent her an email and offered to take it and give her something else. Her response--Honestly, I was so blown away that you somehow knew I was in the market for a new hair dryer. I just used it. I've never dried my hair so quickly. It's so soft and shiny too.I'm sold...it is an awesome tool and I thank you so very much for it.I know GHD is the best. There are some products you can't cut corners with. The Air Hair Dryer is on sale again, I can't pass it up, I purchased another one, for me. Can't wait to use it.

I have long thick, wavy (frizzy), color treated hair that typically takes at least 45 minutes to dry. I have tried many other high end brands of blow dryers and have found this to be the best in class! It dries my hair in around 20 minutes whether blowing out or using the diffuser to coax non frizzy curl from my locks. The dryer works wonders and leaves my hair shiny, frizz free, and non damaged! My only complaint is that the controls are more than awkward. I had to give the features a rating of 4 due to this inconvenience since i literally have to put the dryer down to make any changes to the settings as they are on the back of the blow dryer handle.It also makes it really tough to not inadvertently hit the wrong button and change the settings when you don't mean to. Please consider changing this design as it is really enough to make me consider returning the item...
