I'll lay the context down, then go through the pros and cons.I bought this as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend, the colour being a cyan/ baby blue, and she loved it! The colour matches a case I also bought for it and it's so friendly looking and great for taking pictures with family. The size is small enough to put inside a rucksack but too big for an average purse, this Is why I'd recommend getting a carrying case so you can have it at the ready for any photos you want to take!Pros:- Portable due to reasonable small factors- Colour choices are wide enough to appeal to many people, and they are very aesthetically pleasing!- The instant photos are incredibly satisfying.I recommend putting the picture in the dark right away after taking them as it'll produce better results from the chemical processes.- The camera is pretty good at guessing the scenario and correct exposure, but it does have its flaws, like when taking pictures in snow and other harshly lit scenes.- The photos come out charmingly warm and friendly, great for memories.- The small convex mirror on the outside makes selfies really easy, and helps compose them knowing full well that everyone you want to be is hopefully in frame.Cons:- The film is quite expensive so you don't feel as though you can use them all the time, which I guess makes it more special when you do but It'd be nicer if they were more reasonably priced.- Photos are incredibly retro looking aesthetically, and this is pleasing but if you're wanting a sharp and crisp image this isn't the way to go.Overall, I'd undoubtedly recommend this as a gift, or for personal use. The instant photos are always a charm and great for family events and holidays.

Bought this as a family camera mainly so my wife and young son could use it.Really pleased with the camera, if like me you remember the old polaroid instant cameras then you're going to love this. The pictures are smaller, (credit card size) with the same look and feel of the original polaroid film, (border as well). Operation is simple enough and it's virtually idiot proof, (although I did make the mistake of taking a picture outside after setting the dial to bright sunlight then turned it off...did another picture later but I didn't realise that when you turn it off the dial re-sets to indoor so the picture was over exposed). You get 10 shots on a film pack and this camera is not digital so you can't review/edit your pics...(old school).What you see and take a pic of is what you get. Also don't shake the picture to develop it, that's an old myth... so just lay it down and watch it as the film surface is vulnerable to light and scratches etc.There are good choices of film with different and fun borders elseware for a good price. I also got a designated album, (same colour as the camera) just to hold the pics and found that elsware as well.Over all I am very pleased with this camera, the quality is good and it's well made although a little bulky. I would reccomend this camera as a fun way of linking the old with the new. Great product, great price and fun to use.

In common with many other reviewers, I bought this as a gift, in my case for my 6-year old grandson at Christmas. He absolutely loved it, especially because it produces a printed picture right away. The picture quality is not up to the standard of today's digital cameras or phone cameras - it's a little washed out and lacking vividness of colour, reminding me of the 70's instamatic pictures I took myself all that time ago. But that somehow doesn't matter because the whole retro character of this camera makes up for it. The Instax has its own appeal, distinct from the aforementioned devices. I'd recommend getting a photo album with it. My grandson loved putting his pictures into the album and this gave him a lovely record of that Christmas period,with shots of all the family, as well as the tree and the cat! If you're thinking of an Instax for, perhaps, a teenager, I'd definitely go for the top-line model as they'd probably be disappointed with the Mini 9's picture quality. It's also wise to get the bulk packs of exposures, otherwise you're paying a pound a shot!

My wife got one of these for Christmas and so far she's pretty happy with it. As long as you take it for what it is (a novelty camera) and don't expect too much of it then you'll be ok. It's fine for quick snaps to stick on the fridge and the photos have a nice retro look about them - there's the moment of tension whislt you wait for the picture to develop as well. Of the photos we've taken with it the ones taken indoors have worked best - outside the camera does seem to struggle a bit with the ambient lighting - the photos tend to be either very dark or very light, we've not really had much success outside.All in all it's a fun item - it's not a replacement for a 'proper'camera though and I certainly wouldn't rely on it as being my only source of pictures for anything important. If you accept the limitations and don't expect too much of it then it's fine - if you're expecting pro quality photos then you'll be disappointed.

Love it, perfect for quick snaps to keep rather than stored in my phone and with more character due to its slightly vintage look . Really recommend watching a YouTube tutorial before you get the camera.This is not a professional camera so don’t expect High definition photos, this is basic but I didn’t get it for super high quality prints, I got it to make little albums of my adventures with my kiddies . We have also been down the beach and even outside (following the little light indicator thingy is Very recommended) we got some lovely photos .Will be getting one for my youngest for her birthday in a brighter colour as I don’t think smokey white (it’s very light grey)will be her thing.The 30 papers and photo album is fantastic as well, very cute album and we had 3 different packs Which I didn’t expect !

We got one of these recently for use at a kid's party.They are awesome. The kids got to have their picture taken with Tinkerbell and watch it develop in front of their eyes and take it home.They are basically like small portrait shaped Polaroid cameras. The phones are smaller, about the size of a credit card.The cameras are durable and should take abuse from kids :-). There are various models - you will find various reviews on the web that compare them but if its for a young kid, I wouldn't go for the compliated ones with buttons, menus, focus, flash etc... Just keep it simple.In a day when most of our photos are stored virtually its great to have something simple and the kids can use to makeprints.

This is a great camera and the instax look is great.Sometimes your shot looks from the 1950s, others from the 80s and if your lucky straight off Instagram.Ok some photos are a mass of white or dark but isn’t that part of the art when trying to get the shot. It’s all learning. Films aren’t cheap but there’s more chance of keeping one of these photographs than ever looking back on your phone.This camera is owned by an 8 year old and she loves it. She took the pic in this review as well. It’s a piece of independence and you actually have a physical product for once amongst everything else that’s now digital. Just don’t be expecting iPhone X quality and just appreciate this for what it is.

Bit of a talking point when you get this out of your handbag everyone from kids to adults find it cute and nostalgic and want to have a go with it.It’s recommended to use the setting that the camera has chosen when taking a photo but as we’ve had a couple of over exposed ones I think I may try and choose my own setting on the next ones.It won’t fit into a clutch bag u need a proper hand bag for it. I also like that it works as a decorative item on my shelves when it’s not in use. It’s not something you would take all your photos on it’s more for now and again as your not guaranteed perfect pics and is expensive but is a nice little girly gadget

I got this as a first camera for my 9 year old granddaughter who is showing great interest in photography. As a photographer myself I am obviously all for encouraging this and I purchased this fun camera to help her get used to taking photos with a camera (she used an old mobile phone previously). She absolutely loves it and the fact she can get her photos instantly and watch them develop is great too. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone who has a similar aged child who is showing signs of interest in this creative hobby. They come in a great range of colours and its a great fun first step towards digital photography.

My partner bought me a Polaroid Snap in July and I can honestly say I've never been this disappointed with a gift. We took 20 pictures and they were all horrible, contrast, sharpness, everything about them was wrong. We returned it and bought instax mini 9 and it's amazing! So easy to use, picture quality is brilliant and has this particular vintage vibe I was after, I adore every single picture I've taken with it. Such a good buy! I wish my partner went for this one straight away instead of wasting time with Polaroid Snap. If you can't choose between those two - instax is definitely the better one!

I was given this as a Christmas present as I've wanted one forever, the photos are great but you do have to be aware of the flash as you can not turn it off so when ever me and my partner have a photo he has to take off his glasses as his glasses reflect the flash, but its a lovely piece of equipment to have for any one I love it (22) and my two nephews love it even more (2&4 years old) but the films are just a tad expensive for kids, and when you look through the looking glass it's not where the actual camera lens is which is a bit confusing but apart from that and the flash perfect!!!

I absolutely love this camera. I have found myself really think about the photos i take as there is a limited amount of film and its great having a physical copy immediately. The films can be a little pricey but amazon do a deal with 20 films for £15 which is very reasonable. The camera itself is very user friendly with clear instructions. The selfie mirror is a nice addition as it the close up lens. I have had this for almost 2 months now. The first set of batteries are still running which is impressive considering i have taken over 100 photos using the camera. Highly Recommended

I have got it as a present from my partner and was absolutely thrilled when I opened up the box.It is rarely easy to use something for the first time. Probably the first 5-10 photos you’ll take won’t be perfect but be patient because it is so much fun to use this camera once you get a hold of it.Pretty good quality for the price and I really like that I can just give the photos to people and they can keep it in their phone cases or wallets. Many great memories kind of get lost in your phone but these can be close to you all the time.It has a wondeful colour too.

Absolutely love my instax. Its so cute and easy to use and just really fun. Also love the fact I got 3 colour filters with my order, that was a nice bonus! Excited to use them in the future. In terms of photo quality I really love the photos I’ve taken so far. Was really handy watching a few instax tutorials before I got mine. Helped a lot with figuring out how to use the different light settings. Would recommend others do the same, so they get a good set of beginning photos :) Ultimately really happy with my purchase :D

I love this camera, it is an amazing product and I love everything about it. The box includes the camera itself, 10 films, a cute little wrist strap, 3 colours lenses and 1 clear focused lens. The package also included alkaline double (AA) batteries and some manual guides as well as a cute instax camera sticker. The delivery was super fast I ordered 2 days ago and the delivery date was estimated for the 8th of January and I received the package on the 3rd of January. I highly recommend this seller as well as the camera.
