I've been shooting Polaroid for a few years now on the vintage cameras, as nothing can replicate that true polaroid look. I was really excited to try out this newest model as it potentially answers some of the things I wish my older polaroids had - one being a higher success rate, and the other being a self timer. This One Step 2 has bluetooth capability that means you can remotely control it via the app.I'm used to the vintage older models of camera which don't have a battery but run off the battery pack - this camera comes with a USB and will need charging. The only negative I can find for the camera is with this. The battery will drain itself over time,so you have to remember to check its charge before you take it out to shoot. I imagine this is why the i-Type film works in these cameras and not in the vintage ones - they won't have the battery in the film pack like the 600 film does.I have found that more shots come out better with this newer model than previous vintage polaroids have. Of course, everything is new and shiny and the emulsion rollers are working better, but i'm confident that if pointed at the right thing and in good light, the shots won't be wasted. A lot of whether the shot works or not is down to you; lighting is the most important, but I would read the guide that comes with the camera as it explains the basics really well. The thing to remember with Polaroid is that the beauty is in the imperfection. Nowadays we are so used to ultra-clean super-HD photographs that anything lesser looks rubbish, but Polaroids are art. Expensive to shoot, but it's a hobby that is completely worth it. Even still, it takes the best colour grader and photoshop whiz to accurately recreate the look, when you could just shoot it authentic. Polaroid photos are a representation of reality, a dreamy hazed version; they were never meant to be technically accurate photographs.I like a lot the electronic indicator as to how many shots are left - as you can see from the photo, there are 3 left. Overall, the camera has been very well designed. Compared to other models it does seem a lot more physically robust, and ease of use is very good - a double tap of the + button for the self timer, a single tap to activate the bluetooth, and the Polaroid App is incredibly straightforward and very easy to use.My favourite things are the self timer, and the bluetooth setting means the double exposure and remote controlling really opens up the creativity. It's a valid addition in today's Instagram world of wanting to get that selfie. Album cover makers, hipsters going to Europe, Hen do's...whoever you are, Polaroids are amazing. We don't print our photos enough any more and it's a shame. With a Polaroid, it's right there. The excitement of waiting for it to reveal as well is still pure magic. I love them.

This camera does exactly what it says on the tin, so to speak. It takes quality polaroid photographs which in a few minutes are in your hand. The one thing that I learned on using this camera, is that the temperature of the film is critical in it's ability to render a good result. Store cool and use warm [room temperature] is as I said critical. If your camera with film inside has had to endure hot temperatures on beach, or in car etc for a few hours before use, then the quality of photos taken will be affected.During hot days or in transit I tend to keep my film in a cooler bag before I want to use it. After loading and faffing about for a while the film has achieved the optimum working temperature. If you are indoors however and have been in that constant environment for a while then you should be ok.The camera itself has a very pleasing functional retro look. When you see it, it is instantly recognisable as a polaroid camera. However unlike its original counterpart, this one is Bluetooth compatible and via the app, utilises additional functions. Two creative tools which trigger shutter speed with sound [clap-dog-bark etc], standard landscape lens and portrait lens as well as other creative functions that will add another dimension to your photographs. On using I find the standard default settings for exposure and focus to be good. When however you are familiar with the cameras performance and results, within various locations and settings, you will instinctively know whether you need to manually intervene with these settings to effect your personal likes and wants. The cameras results are good set as standard though. There is a flash manual override button, which can be utilised when necessary, like avoiding flash back with mirrors and glass etc. The image size is good and the camera is capable of using all original 600 and I-type film. The film is light and temperature sensitive when developing and must be sheltered when going through the developing process, which averages an enthralling 15-20 minutes.Charging is via a usb cable and battery life is good. The charging process is accompanied by a red light, which goes out when charge is complete. This camera is a fun addition to any outing or event, people cannot help but be enthralled with the camera and the processes involved. For some it will be nostalgic and for the younger members present, it will be quirky and new.

I have a few 'Polaroid' cameras, two that are the actual Polaroid make and now this, which is by the new Polaroid Originals company, formerly the Impossible Project company. Some reviews indicate that the picture quality isn't great or the time for the photos to develop is long... This, ladies and gentlemen, is the new Polaroid Originals/Impossible Project paper, and not this camera... Now that this has been cleared up, yes, the quality of the images might not be what you're expecting or remember from real Polaroid film, but given the 'Impossible Project' of reverse engineering Polaroid film, it's pretty damn good, given they've had to reinvent the whole thing from near scratch. The image quality is fine for a point and shoot instant film camera. If you want DSLR or fine grain film quality, then you're looking in the wrong place with this camera. If your expectations are real, then this camera does it's job well. The camera battery holds charge for quite a few cartridges, and I haven't maxed it out. But then again, I always plug in to charge before prolonged use. There are plenty of videos online that detail how to use the features and app while the basic functions on the camera itself couldn't be clear - play with it and explore! At about £130 at time of review, I wouldn't recommend you rush out and buy it if you're looking for a simple point-and-shoot instant film camera as you can pick up the Fuji Instax Wide for less, and its film is cheaper too. But... this Polaroid Originals camera does more than the Fuji Instax Wide and this is why you would buy this camera, for the ability to work on your images on your bluetooth device, and then send back to print. It's a hybrid analogue and digital camera that is fun to use and it's applications are far reaching.Highly recommended for the photographer who wishes to cross over analogue instant format and digital 'editing' abilities in an innovative way

A deliciously retro vibe from the original instant camera. The camera is easy to set up and use and gives quality images on both colour and black and white "film". Packed (relatively!) with features that have, so far, worked well. Disappointing that the film/paper is so expensive as it could become prohibitive BUT that just forces thought to getting the "right" image first time! Overall, this is a quality built item, perfect for those nostalgic for the original Polaroid camera in a digital age.

I love the retro style and how easy the camera was to use. It did take a little getting used to, I wasted some film. However, the replacement film can be quite expensive so may put people off. I remember as a child the quality of the pics wasn’t very good, so wasn’t expecting too much, but boy was I wrong, the pics are so much better. The features on the App are a great addition, it gives you more creative control over your pics. I loved the scan feature, you can store your pics on your phone.

I'm still getting to grips with the Polaroid OneStep Plus but so far I'm enjoying the experience! The camera is easy to use and can produce some lovely clear quality photos. It took some getting used to so be willing to waste a pack of polaroid's experimenting but once you get the hang of it, it's a great novelty for special occasions! If you download the app you can 'scan' the images using your phone's camera giving you a digital copy too so the memory won't fade.

I am so impressed with this camera. For an instant prints camera I wasn’t expecting much for the quality of the photos but wow was I wrong. The photos are extremely clean considering they are captured and printed in minutes. Polaroid cameras have definitely improved since I have my first one as a child.Camera is very simple to use even my 9 year old and 6 year old were happily snapping photos of each other together.

Polariod made a brilliant product then as they do now, looks more modern but has all the ease of use of old. The flash is extremely bright could do with a dimmer maybe. The app isn’t very exciting but understand they have loads of room to improve. Great product great results. Would suggest more pictures in packs for the price. Overall would buy again.

Before taking pictures I recommend to watch some tutorials on YouTube for the first timers. If you’re looking for a high resolution pictures this camera is not for you but if you are into an instant retro artsy pictures - then go ahead and buy it. I am absolutely in love with the camera and I’ve already ordered lenses and more film! Enjoy

I had an original Polaroid camera and this is an updated model with lots of additional features. You can preview the pictures before you print them to ensure you don’t waste any of the film on dodgy photos. I also like the size of the photos, they are the same as the original ones from years ago. Definitely recommend this camera

I am very proud to own this camera once again, this camera is truly a classic from days gone by, it is here again with it's revised model and I must say that it is a pleasure to own it once again because I remember owning one as a child.

Absolutely love it. My friend had one when I was little and i always wanted one then they disappeared and now they're back again. The film is a bit pricey and you only get a few photos but for me it's worth it.

Great sepia style photographs. You can get your pocket size photograph in secs. I think the photograph paper that you need to use it is a little expensive. But the quality is outstanding.

Pictures are lush.it's a very good product and easy to useA bit vintage but not too much. Very nice to use the app also to make the pictures perfect.I am not disappointed at all.
