This is an interesting camera to use, especially with friends and families. The automatic flash controls work fine in most cases, all you need to do is to construct a picture and push the button. Before having this machine, I was wondering why people want to use instax when they have a more convenient mobile phone in hand. Now I understand them after purchasing it. It remind me of the old days when we were using camera with film rolls. We spent much time to construct the picture, considered the light directions and chose good background before we took the shot. Every picture was valuable and would be seen many times in our lives. Nowadays, it is so easy to take out a phone and take multiple pictures in a second. The picture folder on my computer grows in size rapidly but I hardly open it or take a second look at all of those pictures. This instax camera is a totally different experience. Due to the high price of films, you only take pictures when you see a perfect views, which means you take pictures with more values and memories.Compared with its peers, mini 25 and mini 90, I would recommend mini 70 for most people. Mini 25 has a cute shape and some sort of manual controls over flash light, while mini 90 is definitely a more professional and expensive one. If this is what you are looking for, then take them which are also great models. But for people who just want to take pictures under automatic flash and don't need advanced functions like double exposure, mini 70 is the right one to buy. In fact, its name reveal its nature, it has more advanced specs than 25, but less than the high end model 90.Even so, there are definitely some drawbacks I have to point out. First, the plastic shell is really thin and seems fragile to me, especially the battery lid. In fact, I believe it is only 1 mm thick at the most on that part. Second, there is not lock on the button to open the back cover and install films. It means a slight push would open the back cover and waste your films. I do wish they can hear the feedbacks and make changes in the future. But given that this is actually a 2015 model, I bought it at the end of 2016 and still see these problems, I have little confidence of future improvementsOverall, I would say 4.5 stars for this model. Worth to buy and having a lot of fun right now.

My daughter was hankering after an instant camera for such a long time and I wasn't so keen as I felt it would be a waste of money.( I remember the polaroid's from years ago).Well I stand corrected, this camera is worth its weight in gold for the smiles it has bought.I bought my daughter an expensive camera for her birthday for her studies but as its not a throw in your handbag style camera for girly days out realistically this has turned out to be the perfect option.Obviously most of us have mobile phones to take pictures on but they just aren't the same. After long and careful research we opted for this version of Instax as it has the built in selfie mode (especially important for a teenager)and I thought it looked a bit more grown up. Of course thats just a matter of personal opinion.IN THE BOXHand strapStrap ringWarranty documentUser’s Guide2 CR2 lithium-ion batteriesThis also came supplied with a pack of ten shots. The camera is a beautiful shade of blue and looks good and doesn't feel cheap and tacky which some of the digital camera's in this price range do.This version has Selfie Mode as I earlier mentioned with a self portrait mirror along with Landscape and Macro modes so it does have a few options within it.It has Auto Exposure so it automatically works out the surrounding lighting and adjusts the shutter speed and level of flash for optimum results. The camera has a tripod mount and a built in timer so all in all it is has whole lot more than the old fashioned polaroids but has the vintage look to the photo's.When you take the photo it whirrs and pops the print out of the top of the camera and then develops over a few minutes.Watching it develop is all part of the fun and that hasn't changed with the leap into modernisation. The pictures aren't top notch like digital pictures but thats all part of its charm.Since having the camera every time a friend or relative has visited or we have gone out with one my daughter has taken two pictures. One is given to the friend/relative and the other is kept. Everyone loves the camera and a neat little line of picture memories is growing along the wall in my daughters room.Whilst the shots are without doubt pricey, watching a picture develop before your eyes and having it in your hand as a keepsake is priceless.

Even in these days of camera phones and digital photography, there is still something magical about waiting for an instant photograph to develop. The Fujifilm Instax range attempts to breath new life into this age old experience with a few minor bells and whistles, but essentially things haven't changed from when my dad snapped us on holiday with his Polaroid. The camera is a nice size and feels very well put together. The lens whirs in and out satisfyingly when it is turned on and off, and a small LCD screen displays how many shots are left and what picture mode the camera is in. Film comes in packs of ten, which are easily inserted in a cartridge that just pops in the back.If I have a criticism of the build it's that the shutter release button is poorly placed and I often had to hold the camera rather awkwardly in order to not cover the viewfinder at the same time.So what about the photos? Macro shots were a complete disaster for us. The viewfinder is too offset to accurately take close up pictures and the prints are too expensive to keep experimenting, likewise landscapes came out a bit wishy-washy and disappointed, but for general group or individual shots from six to ten feet away the results were fine. Nothing spectacular but nice enough.Everyone we met who saw the camera were desperate to have a picture taken and they made a great memento of a day out. In fact several people said that they would love to get their own, and that is probably what this is all about. Yes, you can take a thousand pictures on your phone, but when will you ever look at them? Then there's the photo that you took with your friends, that exists only on that one print, created by photo sensitive chemicals reacting to the very light that you were seeing at that exact moment, that then appeared before your eyes, and created a tactile, physical object. That's the romance of the instant camera.

This is a massively fun camera that always goes down well at social gatherings. It's exciting to use and it's perfect for recording special memories. My friends were intrigued by this camera and it didn't seem to intimidate them like my larger camera, or even my phone. Once I press the shutter button the photo pops out of the top of the camera and my friends are excited to see how the photo turns out. When the photo comes out of the camera it is white, but after 30 seconds or so you see the colours of the image begin to appear and after 2 or so minutes the picture is fully developed. My friends often shake the picture thinking this will help it develop...I've given up telling them it doesn't help! Each cartridge of Instax film contains 10 photos, nothing at all compared with the 1000’s of photos a digital camera can take. You want to capture only the best moments and even then you won't know if it'll turn out perfectly. This is all part of the fun. I found it refreshing to be more selective and wait for the moments that I new were worth a photo. The camera has 4 focus modes (standard, selfie, macro and landscape) so you should make sure you know the rough distance of your subject from the camera. Pictures of people normally work best in the standard mode, though if they are further back then landscape is best.Almost as soon as you start using the camera you’ll want to buy more Instax cartridges which you can get on Amazon. I’d also recommend getting an album for your photos as well as a permanent pen to write the date and a description at the bottom of each photo.I've used this camera for a few months now and I've captured many memories with it. I highly recommend this camera!

This was the first product I have ever purchased with my own hard earning money and I do not regret it. I love my Instax Mini 70! The delivery was better than I expected, infact it came 2 days after I had purchased it. I got the product in black because I thought it would go well with everything I owned. Originally, I was debating between white, black and gold. White because of how clean it looked and I also considered it in the hot weather, it wouldnt overheat at all but then I thought of how easy it could get dirty especially when travelling to my home country in the Philippines and being outside walking on the mountiains. Gold because of how nice it just looked and would be a different colour to try. Finally, black because like I had already said it would go well with everything I own, I was afraid that due to the colour it may absorb the heat from the sun however I decided to risk it and see how it goes. When I received the product, i realised the camera wouldnt really overheat at all because of the material that was used to produce it. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and I will definitely be adding a review of it on my blog because it deserves to be more credit!

This reminds me so much of my youth in the 80s and my grandfather's Polaroid instant camera. It's a great way of teaching my son about how pictures are formed and how we used to value good pictures and film much more than we currently do - there's no delete button on this! This is a dead simple camera with no LCD screen or other fancy electronics. It's got a selfie, macro, landscape modes. You drop a flat film pack into the back and press the button to eject the cassette cover and then you've got 10 precious pictures to take. Make sure they're good ones as a 2*10 pack will set you back about £16 which makes this quite expensive. However, it's very retro - quality is good. Snaps are smaller than classic Polaroid.Development of the pictures is within a couple of mins after ejection from the machine. It comes with 2 stubby batteries which go in the back and it has a auto-pop out lens (not sure what to call it). A bit of fun for parties or proper Instagram style pictures you can actually touch and a bit of a history lesson for the kids!

We have been looking for an instant camera for a long time, and if you're looking for something affordable and easy to go instant camera, I would definitely recommend this one. The pictures are the slim ones, so you can fit them everywhere you want. Your wallet? Check. That fancy IKEA hanging hipster rope? Check. The quality overall is really good, it's very easy to operate and it has a fancy selfie mirror to help you get those duck faces rocking. The button is on the front so be careful when maneuvering, you may accidentally shoot yourself and get a fancy pic of your inner nose.Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a not-too-expensive instant camera, and it's super great fun with friends at parties. Also, these instant pictures make for a wonderful improvised gift and the memories will last in a physical place, not on the interwebs.

I didn't expect much from this camera to be honest, especially when considering the price. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised, the build quality is good and the photographs it takes are good too. Obviously it's not going to surpass high end digital cameras but it takes photos as good as my 2 digital cameras at 9 megapixels and 12 megapixels. The Fuji film Instax also has a good usable zoom function and waiting for the picture to develop doesn't take long and it was great going back to having physical photos to look at. My only criticism is the small size of the photos, I did expect them to be a bit bigger than they are but they're not so small that you can't see the photo subject.Overall it's a great camera and value for money and if you want real photos in your hand it's hard to beat.

I love using this to take pictures when I'm away or want a souvenir photo! With the cost of the film, it's definitely more of a novelty photo, than using a digital camera or a phone, however I much prefer to look back at these types of photo! This model is great because it's quite small and simple, so easy for anybody to use, especially for selfies, with the silver mirror on the lens!My only minor issues would be that sometimes when I put in film, it won't register that the plastic bit is already out, and it will waste up a film/ photo with a completely black picture. I also find the location of the eye piece frustrating, as it's off to the side, and doesn't line up with the camera lens,so it takes a bit of guess work to frame it up properly!

I received mine today and I must say, I personally LOVE it! Yes, with smart phones and DSLR family in the market, many would go for such options. But for me, I find it unique and special as it teaches me to plan things a little, before pressing the snap button (as you cannot delete the image afterwards) plus it teaches me to be patient with each step I decide to take, in order to create that 'perfect' memory! Yes, you are bound to make mistakes and waste a few photos at first, before you capture 'your perfect' picture but the instant result is truly rewarding. I can see myself spending lot of time fully utilising this new little toy. If you are an old school type such as I am,you would appreciate Instax Mini 70.

This is a great little camera with a very premium feel and looks great in blue. It reminds me of the Polaroid cameras from the past of course but takes smaller pictures (of better quality!). The major problem is that the film cartridges are pretty pricey. Amazon currently lists a twin pack (20 shots in total) at £14.99, making each picture cost 75p. Lets just hope that a generation used to snapping, checking and deleting learns how to take a photo at the first attempt otherwise this could be an expensive and brief experiment. There's no display on the back. It has selfie (there's a small mirror by the lens to help you frame your shot), macro (if you like taking photos of your food)and landscape shooting modes.

This is a fun compact and portable instant camera.Pros- Lightweight, small camera. Measures approx H 114mm by W 99mm by D 53mm and weighs approx 1 lb with film.- Has selfie mode, uses small mirror so you can frame photo and there is a 2 or 10 second selfie timer.- Landscape and macro modes- Fun picture size, 62mm x 46mm and film size of 86mm x 54mm- Includes tripod mount- Photos have vintage lookCons- Expensive film, it costs 75p to £1 per photo and sold is in packs of 10.- Shutter button is in awkward place. I found it fiddly to take photos and kept putting hand in front of viewfinder.- Uses CR2 batteries, not common in shops but found them easily on Amazon for £3.50 for 2.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my sister and this is the feedback she gave me: the overall design of the product is super cute, easy to transport and fit most medium/small bags size , the quality of the photos are very good, the colours are well displayed. This Polaroid comes with lots of options such as macro, landscape, portrait etc so you can have fun playing with it in different settings. It is very easy to change films. The only thing that needs review by the designer is that the focus is not centred so when you take a picture you need to pay attention and check where to focus your centre. Overall she is very happy about the product and it is definitely a good gift.

Absolutely love this camera, I opened it as soon as it arrived, super intuitive to use (especially so if you're already into photography) simple to use and set up. Given 4/5 for quality of photos purely because, well, it's an instant camera. You can't expect pin sharp perfect photos everytime but I am so so happy with the results so far. I've seen a lot of reviews that really bash instax and sadly it's probably because they don't know how to use it to it's full potential or have given it to a child. Any photography enthusiast should definitely give instax a go, it's just a lot of fun, highly recommend and can't wait to take it out and about.

We've loved using this camera. It really reminded me of old Polaroid cameras. My children couldn't believe that you were not able to delete and retake your photos! But they ended up loving using this.It is very simple to use, you just load the cartridge in the back and take photos. They take a couple of minutes to develop and then come out of the front. They are square and a little smaller than old Polaroid pictures but are of high quality. This would be a great camera to use on special occasions such as a family party or wedding. The only downside is the cost of the cartridges, snap away sparingly!
