Being a little OCD about my computer equipment it took me some time to arrive at a decision on a M-ATX case. Having had an Antec Mini-P180 for a good few years I was looking to move to a case that could sit on my desk without looking too much like a microwave cooker! Step up the Node 804. I looked at the Corsair Air 240; a nice case but with very limited HDD storage space and VERY limited GPU fitment sizes. As I was going for a non-standard cooler on my GTX 980 I needed something that could take the additional height of the GPU. The Node 804 swallowed all of my kit easily. I'm running 4 HDDs and an SSD along with a decent sized PSU..... all tucked out of sight in one chamber. The motherboard is fitted in the other along with a H105 cooler and a total of five 120mm fans.... two fitted as intakes on the front, one exhaust on the rear and two exhausting through the case roof via the H105. My GPU temps are five degrees lower than my mini-p180 and, with the H105 fitted the case is very quiet. I have also fitted a slot loading optical drive in the case front. All in all this is a great little case that can house a large amount of high end kit, keep it cool and also VERY tidy.... and with a window on the case side it makes for a space that is easy to build a great looking system into. Highly recommended!!!!!

I love this case!!! Bought mainly to serve as a media centre for my living room, it has evolved in purpose to also be a gaming machine and mass storage unit. It's size is deceptive, within its frame I have managed to fit 4 x 2TB HDD, 1 SSD, a Corsair H80i (awkward to twist and fit the damn tubing) and a GTX1070 (mini).Previously I would have opted for unnecessarily oversized Towers to get those components in!It does not look out of place in a living room either. At worst it looks like a chunky subwoofer. My only minor greivance with this unit is that it would have been great to have the IO on the same side as the window, so I could have the components on view by turning the case, but it's a small matter. The case does come with all screws and fixings in a pack, though compared to NZXT offerings, it does feel a little cheap. I would recommend switching out the included case-fans as they are sub-par, but this tends to be true for any case you buy. The fan controller operates at 3 speeds with inputs for 3 three pin fan headers.

I use this case housing a home server, and I can't say enough good things about it!Building in the case was a dream, the compartmentalization inside makes for a very easy experience. I came into a small issue with my 24pin cable not reaching, but I am using a nonstandard old server mobo, so wouldn't be a problem for standard motherboards. There is plenty of clearance for even the tallest of CPU heatsinks (I have a evo212 in mine) and the drive sleds in the back are perfect for a large number or drives. The included fan controller and fans are good, on low they were barely audible, but I ended up not using any case fans as my CPU cooler circulated enough aid on its own.My only wish is that there was a non windowed version, old server hardware doesn't look that pretty, so I ended up swapping the side panels around (window on the drive/PSU side) and putting against a wall)With some minor modding there would be loads of room for an interesting custom water cooling loop!

Small and perfectly formed. No slot for a DVD drive, but that's a price to be paid for the size.My only gripes would be:Fans are not PWM (though speed can be switched)Internal screws appeared to have been put in when the paint was not hard and it was difficult to remove them without stripping the heads. My build was a replacement for my old Core2 Duo PC and I wanted something small enough to be able to pick up and carry into the car and not to be too noisy and it managed to do the job.If you're considering the case get either a short graphics card or a smaller PSU because getting PSU cables past a full size card could be a bit of a challenge. I chose a short graphics card and a full size modular PSU.At the end of it I think I probably wasted the money on a modular PSU as I ended up using almost all the cables. Buying a short cable set seemed to be ridiculously expensive.Cooling seems to be good even running the fans on the slow speed setting.

Lovely case, have this for my server build using an i7 6700K and a b250 mobo, currently running freenas, but setting up esxi for more options in another build and will duplicate those settings on this server of it successfully does what I want. The case is very nicely laid out, decent fans for a server build anyway, for a desktop I would upgrade them. Plenty of room for HDDs, which was the main selling point for me ad my server build, currently have 3x 4TB iron wolf drives in it, plus an ssd for a cache drive. The drives stay nice and cool, as does the CPU etc in the other chamber. It's amazing that a dual chamber system with so much HDD space is this small. It fits perfectly in my media cubbies that I made, and is unobtrusive. Recommend very highly.

First thing I'd like to add is this that this was my first cube case.Beibg the form factor that it is made it easy for my to make a powerful yet compact build and still have room for expansion if needed. What impressed me the most is that there is room for so many hard drives in this case that you can turn it into a home server if you really wanted to.Because I was running a gaming build I didn't really need the hard drive cages as there are SSD mounts on the front so I mount my radiator in the of compartment which freed up a lot of room and allowed me extra space for the graphics card of my choice so keep that in mind!Very impressed with this case

Very nice looking case.. pretty sturdy.. little tricky to get the HDD bays back in once everything was assembled especially if like me your mobo has a wi-fi module which prevents the rear fan from occupying its intended place. I've had 4 shuttle computers or so and this is a little wider but worth it for the price as opposed to assembling the proprietary non upgradable shuttle machines I've had in the past which are still good machines but don't offer the same longevity.read a few people saying the white is too glossy.. for me its fine.. the black looked a bit boring!

I'm using this for a NAS, with 6x3.5" drives (mounted with the case mounts), and 2x2.5" drives (mounted on an expansion card).I'm using the Asrock Rack C2750D4I motherboard, so it's fanless, so only the case and PSU fans. The fan controller is very sinple, a 3-way switch selects, 5V, 7V or 12V. I think the front fans are the noisiest, so will look to put a thermostatic controller on there in the future. It's in a living room, and with the TV off you can hear it humming away, with the TV on, you don't really notice it. (It's much better that the previous case.)

Very good quality well designed and made case. Great looks with lots of options for cooling set-ups.This case is highly recommendedReally like the side window it looks great with some LED lighting added. The size is great I can fit this thing on my shelf.I built this Pc for my parents to go in a living room and it looks great.I will definitely be buying this case when I build a micro ATX system for myself.system specHaswell i3 4370corsair vengence 16gb of 1600mhz Cas9samsung 850 evo 250gb SSDSeasonic G450 PSUFractal Design Node 804

It is bought as a case for the bigger NAS.Provided fans are not the best, I have changed them to Noctua to decrease the noise level. It is a bit bigger than I expected.I have moved HDDs from tower case where they have temperature about 50C, at this case the temperature is about 35C.The extra 14cm fan could be put between HDDs cages, but there is no holder for it, most likely I will something by myself.

Used this to build a 6 core pc for my dad. It is better than expected. The cpu cooler is an Arctic cooling Freezer 13. The pc is near silent when running. My dad is very happy with it. It would be an excellent choice for a NAS or an HTPC. If you buy this tower i would recommend buying a bottle of tablet cleaning spray to clean any fingerprints from the front of the case.

Excellent case from fractal. And in my opinion the best option for a power house pc in a smaller form factor. This houses my hackingtosh mac pro 8 core monster, and keeps it cool with outbeing a small skyscraper. As with all fractal products top top quality Scandinavian build.the node 304 is equally as good if you want something a bit more modest still...

I'll admit I am a major fanboy of Fractal and their cases and this one doesn't disappoint. Very easy to work in due to its spaciousness and the sheer quantity of disk slots is in my opinion superb. The only problem is the form factor makes it difficult to find motherboards with enough SATA ports for all the disk slots or expansion slots for SATA controllers.

Fantastic case. Holds my i7, 32GB RAM, nVidia p4000, SSD for OS, 650w PSU, Adaptec RAID card, 8x 4TB Disks and 6 fans - all in this neat little box! Pretty easy time to put all the parts in. Nice to work on. Got everything where it needed to be. Moved from a rack mounted setup that just didn’t have the best cooling or space inside.

Nice simple cube design divided into two halves. One for the motherboard and bits and the other for hard drives and power supply. Very easy to use and well designed. There was enough space to fit the Cooler Master Hyper 212 and a long graphics card. I have a built about 10+ PCs and this is the best case I have used so far.
