I feel that this Football Manager is more of a challenge than previous ones, and I can't work out if that is good or bad. I previously have seen myself as some kind of God when it comes to Football Manager, having every copy since 2006 and mastering the game. In the 2016 edition, I simultaneously played saved with Bradford Park Avenue and Cape Verde, taking Bradford to 5 consecutive promotions followed by the Premier league title, and by season 7 I have won the Premier League, FA Cup twice, Europa League, Champions League, Super Cup, everything with BPA. Similarly with Cape Verde, I steered them to the World Cup, eased through my group,eventually winning the 2018 World Cup (I say eventually as I did need penalties to beat Portugal in the Quarters and Argentina in the Final). This shows I am no slouch when it comes to Football Manager. So what has changed to make this one so difficult? Or is it just me?I decided I would start my first save with the club I love, Newcastle United. I expected, predicted 1st, I would walk to the title. I start with a nice 2-0 victory at home to Reading, followed by a 1-1 draw away at QPR, OK, not so bad. Then followed that with a 3-1 loss in the EFL Cup to Scunthorpe... OK, not ideal, I'll keep my head held high though. 3-0 loss at home to Burton. 2-1 loss away to Brighton. 4-0 loss home to Sheffield Wednesday, 2-0 loss away at Huddersfield, 5-1 loss at home to Barnsley. Where did this come from? Strikers not scoring, Dwight Gayle played in all 8 of these games, didn't score. I try new tactics, pull back a couple of wins, couple of draws, then lose 5 in a row, sacked. For the first time in my FM career, sacked. How did this happen? I'll try again.Went to the Conference, started with Barrow. OK, not guaranteed wins, but thought why not. Lost my first 7 games. Picked up a couple of draws, won 1, after 15 games I had won 1, drawn 3, lost 11. Sacked. What on earth?Okay, to see if it's just me, let's try something a little easier. Start with Real Madrid. First match, lose 2-0 to Eibar, second lose 3-0 at home to Villareal, third lose 2-1 away at Real Betis, then lose 8-1 to Barcelona! First 13 games, won 2, drawn 5, lost 6. Sacked.I will never give up with this game, I love it too much, but this is ridiculous. I have given it 4 stars because it's still amazing, I just don't understand.Also, the social media feed is fun to start off with but they say the same thing every time and that is driving me insane.EDIT: The Beta version I stand by was not great. However, I have been very impressed with the game since. I started again with Newcastle and this time have had lots and lots of success, and everything is going well again. Very enjoyable game, shame I don't have a life anymore.

After a week playing I was initially very impressed by fm17. It's evolution not revolution but the number of new, useful features is impressive. I know many people will complain that they're buying a game which is similar to last year but why fix what (generally) isn't broke? The was I see it is i'm paying on average £3 a month to play football manager and always have the most up to date version and i'm happy with that. Unfortunately I have had to drop a star due to a couple of issues which haven't been fixed. Players on the post ball watching is a problem we have had for a number of years now. They still just watch the ball fly over them and make no attempt to jump and head the ball away.

I am a massive fan of the Football Manager franchise and played the games ever since it was Champ Manager. I really like most of the additions to this years game, and would of given the game a 5 STAR rating but for 1 major problem that I have with it. The problem I have is WHY ON EARTH have SI separated the INBOX INFO and the SOCIAL FEED INFO????? I much prefer it the way it was in all the previous years where you had it all coming through together!!!!! With it now being separate, you now have to click BETWEEN the icons to get your information, where as other versions we're much better because you got all INFO together.

Football Manager is far and away the best football game you'll play on any console. It has hundreds of thousands of players and a really in depth and realistic match engine. It's not just the match engine that's realistic, all the players and their personalities are as well, you'll never see Wayne Rooney join Liverpool or something like that, because his personality, history and favoured clubs/people are built into the game as well.There's really nothing like it.The only drawback for me is the missing licenses for lots of graphics but most importantly the german national team. However you can easily download fixes for things like this from sortitoutsi.

Not much difference from lasts year version. New social media feed is okay but with the same headlines. Still interesting to play but West Ham are currently top of the league and Sunderland in champions league spot and Man City 11th so league needs to be realstic. Transfers are impossible average players costing around 50mil .

Whether you want to start with the high flying teams of the premier league or bring a non league team up through the years this game will not disappoint... Once again many hours have been lost searching for the bargain wonderkids who turn into the next Messi or Ronaldo.

Again football manager 2017 shocks me.It is do detailed than last years version.There is so many available downloads to give you more of a gaming experiance. If you have played previous versions.This years version is a must 10 out of 10.

Having been a fan of this for many years. I do not think it is such fun as it was. To start with you can not see anything about a club before taking on the managers position. Also it is not so easy to view the best players in your club.

Last Football Manager I have played was 2014, 2017 has improved a lot since then, the games seem more balanced and fair, the transfers are more realistic. The styling and design of the pages are all a lot neater and cleaner now too.

Football manager, what else can you say!If you already like FM then you will like this game!If you have never tried FM before, give it go! it can take a few hours to complete a season but very in-depthed and addictive.

Been a player of the CM/FM franchise for 10+ years and it's the only game I play nowadays. Love how it gets more complex and (in most aspects) more realistic with each new edition.

Arrived on day of release but kept secret until Christmas! Am now a Fotball Manager widow again as he gets to grips with the new season on the updated edition!!

On trying to install the game on stream it said duplicate key which means the previous owner sold the game without removing the CD key code what shall I do

The best computer game series in the world. Great update for this year and there is literally 100's of hours of gameplay in this. You cannot go wrong.
