The mouse mat is fine. It is hard and shiny but that is fine for use with an optical mouse (possibly not so good for a roller ball mouse but haven't tried that). It sits in my drawer when not in use and comes out when I need it and works well. I use this for my studies in university. Originally I found difficulty using the mouse on the desk top - it squeaked and I was worried it would disturb others. With the mouse mat - no noise, no problems and the cursor moves exactly where I want it. Would recommend this to anyone.

I bought this to improve the accuracy of my new optical mouse (Roccat Kova) as using the desk's surface was not ideal for gaming.No major faults. Good size, good rigidity, nice image of the earth and moon! The only possible negative, and far from a big one, is that perhaps the friction on the underside could do with being greater. On my desk, which is very smooth, it can slip around a bit over time. Nothing that a little bit of blu-tack wouldn't remedy though.

I bought it for me but it was instantly nicked by my wife! - We use laser mice and other optical mice. the mat worked perfectly with all mice we have used on it. Easy gliding across the surface make it a pleasure to use. Size wise it is perfect for most tasks. The only area it may not be suitable is for the gamers who need more mat area for their frantic mouse moves!

Ignore the product description - this mouse mat slides all over my desk, unless I Blu-Tac it down. However, it's wearing incredibly well despite constant daily usage, and it does look lovely.It's by far the best and most hard-wearing mouse mat I've ever purchased, but it's much more practical on rough surfaces than it is on my smooth oak desk.

Bought this together with the Beach Shore one. Decided I needed some new mouse mats. Problem is they are so beautiful and remind me of some happy holidays had in the Caribbean they are going to be framed and hung up! So will need to browse Amazon again to buy some ordinary ones.

We wanted a mouse mat that would not slide on a wooden top desk. We ordered two, I'm left handed and my wife is righthanded! The mats are well made, the mouse glides over them easily and they don't slip on the desk top. Very satisfied

Great product. Properly semi-rigid for locating it everywhere, from sofa arms to beds, to most of tables' surfaces. Pad's surface is great for the laser sensors in the mouse to work and for a soft, clean feeling with the user's hand.

Bought this with a wireless mouse but not really needed as mouse works without but I still use it as better than my desk top which can be a bit dusty! Picture lovely and it is a very solid mat not floppy or bendy so very happy.

You just can't beat these Fellowes mats for use with optical mice. Tracking accuracy is excellent and smooth and the mats last - the one I've just replaced lasted four years of 4-5hrs per day use.

I travel a lot but like to use a mouse rather than a laptop touchpad. This is slim, light and has a wonderful photo. Does the job well and makes me think each time I look at the photo.

Lovely scene on the mat but it moves about on the work surface. I had to sticknon-slip matting to the back of it to stop it sliding. Works fine with the matting on it.

I was very pleased with this product, I would buy from this seller again, When the product arrived it was just how it was in the description and picture.
