This product is an officially licensed/authorised PS2 product, so should work with virtually all games out for PS1 and PS2. The steering wheel is a pleasure to use, the build quality of the wheel itself is excellent. The pedals although not bad are not quite up to the same standard as the wheel itself. The wheel housing can be comfortably lap mounted using drop down flaps and applying force from the outside of the thigh to keep it steady (this works very well). The wheel can also be mounted to a table top using the supplied plastic clamp, although caution needs to be excerised when tightening, as I managed to damage the clamp slightly as a result of over tightening. The wheel offers a button programming mode whereby you could say map the normal buttons for gear change to the wheel mounted paddle controls. The wheel housing incorporates a gratifying force feedback allowing a very engaging experience. The manual accompanying is not the best but at least its concise and to the point. The configuration settings of the wheel are easily manageable using controls mounted on the wheel housing via an LED display. Within about half an hour I had got it reasonably well configured for use with Gran Turismo 4. The downside of the configuration is that all settings are lost on switching off the console, whereby it reverts back to defaults. This is not too much a problem as once you know how to set them it should take no more than a minute to change them all. The recommended settings for various games are available at the manufacturer website at [...]ConclusionExcellent steering wheel at the price.Pros: Sturdy wheel build quality, easily configurable, lap or table mount, force feedback.Cons: Pedals not quite up to wheel build quality, config settings cant be saved.

Instead of forking out over £100 on an official GT4 steering wheel I got his instead. I'd have to say it's great fun! It's really easy to configure and can be adjusted to your own tastes such as the dead zone in the middle, sensitivity and wheel friction.Yes, it is great fun but there are downsides. For one, the steering wheel just doesn't feel like it's out of a proper car. As a Caterham 7 owner, I was playing with the Caterham 7 fireblade and it just didn't feel like a Caterham. I know you don't have the g-forces or the feeling of the car's rear wheels on your backside but it just didn't feel totally real. For another, theres a couple of wires that come out of the wheel which are the wire to the pedels, the wire to the console and the wire to the power supply. Surely the power and console wires could be coming out the peddals so that you don't have all these cables going down your leg?Another not so bad reason is that the picture has a blue detailed wheel but I got a gray detailed one (I didn't send it back because I prefer the gray!)In conclusion, if you want fun buy this. It's good value for money. If you're looking for total realism, rent a sports car.

This steering wheel is perfect if you are just a beginner. The steering sensitivity feature is briliant because it is very precise. It is better if you have a table or desk to put it on because even though there are leg clamp things it keeps on slipping off your legs. The wheel is very comfortable and easy to handle. The padals are very sensitive which is briliant. The only problem with them though is the pedals are made out of plastic and are not well inforced. My brake pedal started cracking up after a couple of months and now 4months on from when I bought it half the pedal has snapped off. It still works fine but you have to be careful you don't miss the pedal!

This is the best console steering wheel that I have ever played with and for only £40 it is something anyone who owns a driving game (esp. GT3) should have. Its excellent feel, build quality and even aesthetics are very nice. The wheel itself is comfortable to hold, although the pedals do not feel like they are on par with the product. The digital programming is a very nice addition, as due to the wheel being very highly sprung, different sensitivity is required for different games.A must for driving game fans.

This Fanatec Speedster 3 is fantastic. I use this with F1 04 and it allows so much more control. The wheel sensitivity is fully adjustable to suit individual driving styles. It allows a comfortable driving position whether sitting across your legs or attached to a table top. This was a great investment and I am very pleased with the all round functionality, aesthetics, and durability of this product. As an officially endorsed product I would always choose this peripheral over any other of the same type.

I got this steering wheel at the same time as Colin McRae rally 2005 and at first I couldn't get on with it at all. I thought it must be broken, as the wheel was so stiff to turn. After messing with the settings (especially the dead zone) the whole thing came alive and I can never imagine how I would have got anywhere with the game with the hand controller. This wheel is very good so buy it and don't struggle with the controller anymore!!

Despite customer support telling me this product was definitely not the Fanatec Speedster 3, it is! I ordered it, and it really is a Speedster 3!What this means is that it is an offically licensed product which is guaranteed compatible with all Playstation, PSOne, and PS2 driving games. There are loads of reviews of the Speedster 3 (all saying it is very good to excellent)
