I've found the lenspen certainly helps when cleaning the sensor (filter above the sensor) but the problem I have is that the tip does not appear to be designed to get right up to the edges on my 20D - the shaft of the tip impacts the side of the sensor/shutter curtain housing and makes reaching the corners quite fiddly. This left a lot of dust near the sides and corners until after the 3rd attempt, or angling the tip of the pen helped but risked scraping the hard plastic on the filter. Once the majority of the dust was removed it seems easy to keep it clean (providing the dust doesnt return to the edges). The blower is very helpful for removing the loose dust in the opening,

Initially I was very nervous about using this but after some experimentation my sensor is clean even at f16. I needs a little pressure when wiping for the really stubborn spots, but even a light wipe removes most of it. I found wiping in small circles to be the best method. I assume that it will be great for cleaning the eyepiece and top LCD screen as well. A must buy, especially for dirty sensors. The only bad thing I can say about it is that a small brush on the other end would have been nice (the same as the orginal LensPen).

Even using a brand new camera body for the first time in a dusty environment can result in its sensor needing a good clean.This is my "go to" tool for the job, it usually takes me 2 or 3 attempts to get all the dust off but I can usually achieve it in about 10 minutes or so with a little patience. Sometimes I will use a swab but they can often leave a residue that needs to be cleaned off.I used one of the sticky gel blocks once but never again, it took ages to get all the mess off.The best option for me.

No stranger to Lenspens over the years, I bought this to keep a 36 lens Panono ball-shaped panoramic camera clean whilst on the road and simply couldn't be happier.

Good pen, i only use it for those stubborn sensor marks, gently apply pressure and scrub, i then finish off with a wet clean using a swab.
