This quite simple but very cute game is an excellent gift for a little kid, especially if he/she watched first the movie - although it is not absolutely required as the events surrounding the game are well described during interludes by the two moose narrators. The game is rather simple - you control the big bear, Kenai and the little bear cub Koda follows you everywhere. Kenai can get hurt in some places and it then vanishes but nothing drastic is ever shown. Koda is never harmed in any way. There is a couple of obligatory fights with the following hunter, but even if Kenai wins, the human is just stunned and falls asleep. As you can see, there is nothing drastic in the game and it can be played even by the smallest players. There are some passages for which the youngest players will need a little help of an older child or an adult. When she was 4 y.o. my daughter needed assistance in half a dozen of places - when she was 5 y.o. I still needed to help her in two toughest spots: one perilous jump over a lava filled chasm in the volcanic caves and a series of jumps from one floating log to another when crossing the river. Some moments are particularly sweet, with the sliding ride from the top of the glacier being absolutely the best one! When she was 5 y.o. my kid was completely addicted to this mini-game ride, she played it a lot and every time we could hear lots of "weeeeeeeeee" and "yeaaaaaaaaah" followed by happy giggling. At 10 y.o. she is now much too old to play it, but we kept the game waiting for the second one to grow into it... because this game may be a little bit old and quite simple, but it still packs a mighty lot of fun.
