Had D-link DIR-635 wireless router working with 2 Wiis and PSP. Bought the DWL-G510 to enable a 2nd PC to access Internet. Purchased it with a fair amount of confidence after reading reviews. Unfortunately installation was not straightforward, ENDED UP RE-INSTALLING VISTA. My first attempt was to let Vista do the installation and inserted the CDROM when instructed. All appeared okay, it said the device was working properly, but it did not pick up my wireless installation. Next I tried putting the card in a different PCI slot and installing the software that came on the CDROM - BAD MOVE! Got "Blue Screen Of Death" whenever card installed. Software also installed program called WZCSLDR2.EXE; it loads every time you boot, complains of a missing DLL, it's a pig to get rid of, hence re-installation of Vista! I have located Vista drivers (ftp://ftp.dlink.co.uk/wireless/dwl-g510/DWL-G510_Vista.ZIP) and now the card is working very well - good strength, good speed and no dropout. Phew!

The card was delivered swiftly and in excellent condition. The product was easy and quick to install, but....I have had connection problems which baffle me. I am a competant computer user and am familiar with installing pci devices, wireless networks etc, but this problem confuses me and seemingly the support staff at D-Link too. The device connects to my wireless network, but only establishes an ip address intermitently, i.e. when it wants to. It's not an obvious issue with wireless range or interference. I'm sure there is a logical explaination, I just can't find it.

There are plenty of wireless network cards on the market that are good cards. However, not all of them work with Windows 7. This one does. My main reason for buying this card was that I had a Linksys card that I wanted to use with Windows 7, but was unable to because the drivers were not available.Linksys generally, do not seem very keen on updating their drivers to allow some of their older (3 or 4 years old) products work with operating systems that have been released more recently. D-Link, in contrast seem to provide much better customer support.

After upgrading to vista ultimate 64-bit edition I spent the best part of 5 hours trying to get my netgear WG311v3 card to work properly. After fruitless google searches (as in, nobody has found a solution, but the manufacturer is fully aware of the issue) I came across this card on amazon. I ordered it as I found some vista x64 drivers on the d-link website, am I glad I did! I've never had a better wireless reception, the ping in games is excellent and better yet, I've not had a single dropout or re-connect. Heaven sent this card is :-)

I bought this when I upgraded to Windows 7 as my old card was no longer compatible. This card was easy to install and gives great coverage.Since buying it and using it on Virgin I have temporarily moved home with my parents who use B.T. Infinity and it drops out a little. However I think this is B.T. Infinity being rubbish more than the card, I did a driver software update for the card recently and it seemed to help. I haven't herd a good thing said about Infinity but can't convince my Dad to change to Virgin!Overall good product.

it has great reception doesn't disconnect very fast easy to install, with clear guide. Though the router in my house is netgear and i found from d-link's website that this product is not compatible with 3 or 4 netgears and 1 linksys router so i need a new card, so check before you buy if you have netgear or linksys model that isn't comptible, or you willl find you can't login into any websites so email, facebook msn, ordering etc.
