I bought this card after careful googling, to replace the Centrino 2230 WiFi card in my HP dv6 laptop. I found many warnings that there might be a whitelist in the machine's BIOS that would preclude the use of any card not listed in the service manual (this one isn't), however I found several reputable looking threads that said it ought to work. I decided to give it a go anyway because the existing card was slow and seemingly was not working properly (multiple dropped packets).Installation was very easy - open the access cover on the back of the machine, disconnect the antennae from the old card, remove the screw, remove the card, slot in the new one, screw it down, and clip back the antennae.Everything works perfectly. No issues on boot, and my Linux Mint operating system immediately recognised the new card and offered to connect to the 5 GHz band which was not previously available. Now I have reliable WiFi at twice the previous speed! Very satisfied!

In an ASUS X540LA i5 Laptop, I recently replaced the terrible TOSHIBA 2.5inch HDD 5400rpm with a SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB SSD, amazing stuff. After the replacement (which was easy and smooth and now I get so much extra battery life 10/10), I noticed the included Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 started acting up (despite not touching it). But come to think of it.. I believe it was never great.Connected to a 200Mb/s network, my friend with a similar laptop got 200Mb/s while I was only getting 0.8Mb/s, so after seeing it was Intel, I decided it was time to replace.Very easy replacement, the Atheros was next to the SSD only one extra screw, and a small wire to detach. Now installed I am very impressed, comes with Bluetooth, 5GHz connection, and achieves more legitimate speeds.TLDR: Good stuff 5/5

Bought this to install in my ageing Samsung RF711 laptop, so I could use it on the 5Mhz channel of my router. I fitted it in the computer, downloaded the latest Intel driver and it worked perfectly on wi-fi.Unfortunately there was no sign of the Bluetooth working - a total absence of any reference to it anywhere on the computer. I discovered a separate driver is needed for this, I so downloaded and installed it. Still no hint of Bluetooth. I was on the point of returning the card when I came across a neat little fix! Stick a piece of tape over pin 51. That's the last pin on the right, when the card is viewed with the pins along the bottom edge with the longer row to the right. It was a fiddly job but once installed everything worked perfectly.

I bought this as an upgrade to an old laptop, after some research I found this is one of the best HMC wireless cards out there, before the m.2 standards came in - at a good proce too. As an upgrade from the entry level card I had the difference is noticeable. Installation was easy (assuming you can get access to your laptop motherboard), 1 or 2 screws and swapping over the connectors for signal and you're good to go. Assuming the bios allows the change (mine did - dell inspiron 15z, others may not) theres no software setup required, its just picked up on next boot. The Intel drivers are generally standard but it's good to check.

Recently I upgraded the home WiFi to 5GHz to avoid local interference on the 2.4GHz band and also for the increased speed. My DELL Insperon N5110 was originally purchased with a 2.4GHz WiFi card which I've now replaced with this card. I'm really pleased with the increased speed and the stability is great. Be aware there are multiple versions of this card available on Amazon. Some older cards only operate on 2.4Ghz whereas this card van use both bands. Also be aware you need a 5GHz WiFi network to get the extra speed and finally, some laptops use a slightly different card with a different edge connector, so check first.

Provided a Huge Jump in Speed over replaced card (and that was no slouch!) +++++ Liked Price, Quality, Tracking Information etc. The only dislike I had was that I couldn't find the FULL Model Number written on the card to ascertain that it was the specific one that I was looking for (there being quite a range of Prices for very similar Models). However it performed better than I had expected or hoped. :) Recommended +++++

Was easy to install, downloaded latest windows 10 drivers from intel did a restart and it worked Great on both 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi bands the Integrated Bluetooth function works well too, I have been using the previous versions on Intel Centrino cards with no issues I only upgraded as I needed the 5G band and Bluetooth which my old card didn't have.

Installed into an old Asus N56V and improved the wi-fi throughput no end! Had to cut a small bit of the plastic laptop casing in order to get access to the old wi-fi card for removal, but otherwise an easy upgrade for my model of laptop.

Fitted this in my Acer E11 notebook. I was connecting to network at 52Mbps and now I can connect at 400Mbps on 5Ghz band.Very good value for money, cheaper then buying a USB adapters and this is all inside the laptop.

Much better range and signal strength over the stock cheap wifi card. Even if yours hasn't broken just get one of these and all your wifi problems will go away.Excellent delivery and packaging too. Total win win!

I bought this for a barebones pc build, couldn't connect to the internet at first so thought it was bust... but on the advice of a tekky, he nicked some antenna cables from an old laptop it worked like a dream.

Fits in my laptop ok but my only problem was the WiFi Ariel's on my laptop had connectors that were too small for the card so had to purchase new WiFi cables. Please be aware of this when buying

Super fast internet compared to my single band old card in my Sony VAIO SVE1713. I can't get Bluetooth working at all. The BT isn't even recognised. Is there anything that I could do?

Really easy to install the upgrade, fitted with no problems. Masive boost to the Fujitsu laptop WIFI now on the higher bandwidth 5.2 frequency.
