I bought 4 of these in total, one by Orico, which I rated 3 stars, due to various drawbacks and 2 by Allibert, which I think best, but only come in one colour (white with grey lid). This is slightly cheaper than the Orico and the Allibert, at least in white, and I got a Warehouse deal on a white one. I bought the Orico because I wanted black originally and thought it a rip-off to charge more for other colours - I know this is another seller, but I think these are already over-priced as it is, and £12.99 is simply more than I'm willing to pay. Unlike the Orico, this at least has a lid that clicks firmly into place and is reasonably child and pet-proof, and there are ventilation holes in the lid, although the Allibert boxes have slats on the raised bottom, which is far more efficient in terms of ventilation. The tiny holes in the lid on this are more like decoration than proper ventilation. Am not sure how necessary ventilation is, but would think that without, these could potentially be a fire-hazard, as some plugs can get quite hot. This is slightly larger than the Orico, it is 32.2 cms long at longest point on outside (see below for explanation of the 28.5 cm length in product description) and 12 cm wide on outside, although there is a raised edge around the bottom seen from inside, so the actual space inside is only 28.5 cm long and 9 cm wide on the bottom (although the plugs can extend the full width of the box, as they'll be high enough to be above the raised edge), and it's 11 cm high without the lid, which is 3 mm thick around the edge (on the inside, there is a plastic frame, which extends further down into the box). The bottom is flat, and there are no rubber feet, as are on the Orico, to stop it sliding around on a smooth surface. There are 3 openings through which to let the cables out, 2 nearly at the ends are 7.5 cm high (with the lid on) and 2 cm wide, and the opening in the middle is 3.5 cm high and 7.5 cm wide. It is large enough for a 4-way extension lead, but if you have large plugs extending on both sides, it is a bit of a squeeze. The plug for my router is quite large and faces the opposite way from the rest of the plugs, and that extension lead only just fits. I don't think the openings for the cables are ideally placed: the ones on the side mean you have to bend the cable on the extension lead, and from any plugs in it, round to the side, and the one in the middle can only be used for the cables coming from the middle 2 plugs, unless you again bend the cable round. While cables bend easily, you're bending them right at the plug to get them through the holes, which is not ideal (the Orico has the same problem, but more so). Generally speaking, I think all these boxes very over-priced, for a plastic box with a lid and a few openings. Half the price would be about right, in my view. The Allibert boxes (they do a square one and a rectangular one) are superior to both the Orico and to these, I think, due to the slatted bottom and the fact that the cables go through holes in the bottom at the sides. The only drawback with that is that you can't just lift the whole extension lead out, without unplugging it and feeding the cables back through, which you can with this one. Overall, this is ok, but not really worth the price and not as well thought out as it could've been. I would possibly buy it again, but probably not for the full price, and am certainly not paying an extra £3 for the black version, which is the colour I'd prefer.

The cable tidy box arrived well packed in a cardboard box and was wrapped securely in bubble wrap. The outside of the box comes sealed with a card sleeve with pictured examples of where the product could be used. A to scale photo of a 6 socket extension lead is shown on the top to demonstrate how it fits in. The measurements given on the sleeve are: 415mm Wx 165mm D x 135mm H.The box is a matt black colour, which is fantastic as fingerprints will not show and it is not overly reflective. Also it keeps to the black theme of many computer related electronics. The top of the box is a removable lid, which is held in place by 4 clips. It features the company name and it is perforated on each side to allow heat from those plugs with a build in transformers to dissipate. The rear of the box has three cut-outs for cables to pass through. The two smaller cut-outs are on either end measuring 25mm W x 94mm H with rounded ends. This is more than sufficient to pass several large cables through. The larger cut-out is located in the middle measuring 98mm W with a 21mm-40mm H (due to its curve). The lid is removed simply by lifting it up and the inside comfortably holds a 6 socket extension cable with surge protector. It can take plugs which orientate with the lead coming out from the bottom or top (see the white plug in my photos for an example). All plugs fitted nicely with plenty of space to hide away the extra cable length. Once filled and in place the box removed the unsightly cable clutter and now it looks so much smarter. The company provides additional instructions in the form of how to videos on their website. This product is great for anyone who cannot put up with unsightly cable clutter and also for pet owners (my cockatiel chewed up my Wii U charge cable pretty badly). This product also keeps your plugs dust free and provides added protection in case of spillages. I am happy to give this box 5 stars and would consider future products from D-Line.

I had been toying with the idea of picking one of these plastic trays up for a while, although the though of paying for a box simply to put loose cables in didn't really appeal to me. Surely I could go to IKEA and get something similar for a bit less? It turns out I couldn't, at least nothing with cut outs on the back to feed your cables in and out at least. Now the underneath of my desk is appalling. There's cables criss-crossing every way you look. I finally decided it was enough and ordered this item, for £7 I thought I had nothing to lose. After receiving it the next day (thanks Amazon Prime trial!) I got to work pulling out my computer and assessing the task before me."Where to start?" was the first thought in my head, however after an hour or so I was finished. The difference was quite amazing. While the box is fairly large, I was able to fit 2x 4 way power strips, 2x mobile phone power adaptors, 1x laptop power adaptor, 1x large speaker power adaptor and four standard size plugs, plus all loose cabling, inside of the box. It was a tight squeeze, and the box doesn't quite shut all the way, but it was a massive improvement! Now this box isn't by any means perfect. The plastic is rather thin, and while it's not really brittle, it is easy to misshape. The plastic is also super easy to scratch, and I managed to scuff up the corner by dragging it along my carpet, it is also glossy, which can mean only one thing. DUST.The moment I wiped this down with a damp cloth, I could see dust magically appearing on it within seconds. Being so close to my computer I can imagine I will soon have a large grey box at the back of my desk rather than the glossy black one shown in pictures. This is really a problem I have with black glossy items in general however. Overall I would recommend this item, and have already ordered another one for behind my TV stand in the living room.

The cable tidy box arrived packed in a cardboard box and the unit was surrounded in bubble wrap. The box comes sealed with a card outer sleeve that has example images of the product in use. The dimensions noted on the box are 325mm W x 125mm D x 115mm H.The cable tidy box is matt white which is great as it does not leave fingerprints and it would fit nicely in areas that have a white theme. The top of the box is a removable lid, which is held in place by 4 clips. It features the company logo and at each end there is a set of perforated holes. These help to dissipate heat from those hot plugs which house transformers. The rear of the box has three cut-outs which provide plenty of space to pass cables several large cables through. The smaller cut-outs are located at each end, measuring 25mm W x 94mm H with rounded ends. The larger cut-out is located in the middle measuring 98mm W with 21mm-40mm H (due to its curve). The lid is removed simply by lifting it up and the inside provides room for a 4 socket extension cable (with surge protector). I have used this box to tidy up the clutter of cables behind the television. All plugs fitted nicely with plenty of space to hide away any extra cable length. Once filled and in place the unit removed the unsightly cable clutter and now it looks so much smarter. PS4, Internet, TV, Soundbar, Printer, Signal Booster, PC, Laptop Charger, Electric Scented Candle???!...Oh for the days when we couldn't even afford a TV. As it is most houses are now filled with sockets and cable upon cable. Ours is no different, we needed a tidy box for Six sockets and picked this one based on size to fit six plus the multitude of good reviews. The Good -The box is well designed with entry and exit holes at each end for your cables and a snap down shut lid. It doesn't require any assembly.I picked up a masterplug 6 gang extension from Amazon also and this fits just fine.Once loaded with the extension plus cables it is so much tidier compared to prior. There is still some more room and I guess I could probably fit the broadband box in there too if I tried, however if I interfered with the signal for Netflix I would likely be kicked out of my house...It looks very easy on the eye.The could be better -As some have said the build quality could be a little better, it is somewaht flimsy and the lid isn't always straight forward to snap shut. However, how many times are you going to be reaching in and out of the box once installed? And you are unlikely to be moving it from room to room either, or taking it to the shops. So the build quality unless in a high foot traffic area should be acceptable.Overall its a good product, well thought out, fits as described and looks much much better than spaghetti junction on the floor. If it was a little more robust then it would be perfect.Recommended!Four Stars.

This is a useful product within its limitations of material and size. The main one being that the plastic it is made of is relatively flexible, which means that if you stuff too much into the box the top edges will flare out a bit and the lid won't fit snugly. The upside of this is that the thing is probably practically indestructible except by heat - a more rigid plastic would probably also be more brittle - and will last for years. Even not overfilled, it is very easy to get the lid off, so don't for one moment consider it as a solution to small children messing with plugs etc. - it won't stop them and in fact they will undoubtedly want to look inside! My problems with shutting the lid would have evaporated with a slightly bigger version (a couple of centimetres would have done it)because I'm trying to accommodate a 2-row six socket adaptor with a surge protector. While a bit of juggling with the contents did eventually manage to close the box with this adaptor and quite a bit of cable tidied away inside, the lid isn't fitting very snugly as it is not possible to bend back the cables too sharply as they come out of the plugs, so they push against the sides of the box. This isn't really a criticism - some other manufacturer may make a larger one - but I like this design and this seems to be the largest model. My only other criticism would be on price - it is, after all, two pieces of moulded plastic and on that basis, despite the quality, seems rather pricey.

I read lots of reviews before I bought the small box, and agree with others that a square box or with only rounded corners at the front would fit the extension lead better. I was hoping to tidy away the plugs for my amazon fire stick, 2 lamps, both on timers ( the most compact timers I could find) and a four slot USB adapter. The problem I had is that the box can accommodate either the timers or the usb adapter but not both. I tried this with 2 different USB adapters, one with the slots at the rear of the plug and one at the back, but neither would fit as the box was either not wide enough or not tall enough. At the moment I’m using it with the lid balanced on top as it won’t click on as the usb leads are too high.I’m considering buying the larger size and using with a 5 gang plug socket with 2 2usb adapters which hopefully would fit, but I may have to save up for that.. In the meantime it has tidied up the area but maybe I was being over optimistic in my expectations ?As regards quality - Once it’s set up properly there will be no reason to keep accessing it, so seems fine to me.

Pros- plenty of space for all that you would want to fit in.- open slots at the rear for wires to go in and out.Cons- it is just a plasticbox- not as big as it looks on the page.I bought this after becoming fed-up at looking a very cluttered space below my TV which consisted of a mesh of wires and plugs and set top boxes. my wife has been on my case for a long while to find a way of tidying up the space.i came across this product on amazon and was concerned that it may not fit in all of the bits i needed to. i was however quite wrong. i managed to fit in a six plug extension cable, my xbox power unit and also all the excess wires and plugs for all my devices.i used this alongside a cable tidy for wires coming from my TV and now have a the floor around my TV back to myself again. its been that well received some of my family have bought one for their living rooms.my only gripe was that D-line dont have an extra large box in their range as i would have bought that to place my broadband route into the unit.overall i am very happy with the product.

Put a wall mounted TV up in my kids bedroom and connected the usual array of WI/ cable TV/ DVD player connections. These were all connected to an extension cable which was in turn plugged in to wall socket below the TV. The whole thing looked a complete dogs breakfast at floor level. I stumbled across this unit as a solution to the problem and it is fantastic. It has taken the 4 socket extension cable and al the plugs and it al looks really neat and tidy around the skirting board. My advice would be to ensure that you use an extension lead with a short a cable as possible. The first extension lead I used had a three metre cable (doh!)and the lid to the unit kept popping off till I changed it over for one with a short lead. For what its worth I also invested in theFisual 1m Zip Up Cable Tidy - Black toof hide all the cables running into the back of the TV (brilliant!) and a cheap cable tidy to wrap the loose cables up running down to the socket. The whole array looks fantastic in matt black and it has been all well worth the effort.

I have both of sizes of the cable boxes from D-Line (Small & Large).I recently upgraded from the Small (after 2yrs) as I couldn't fit everything I needed. In the small I had: 4 plug extension lead with all 4 out 4 plugs used with- 1x laptop (Lenovo) brick + Plug- 1x Logitech plug/brick for old MX Mouse.- 2x Acer Plugs for monitor (not bricks)After tidying the cables there was not much room left in there for anything else and I was slightly concerned with heat build up as the extension lead would not lie flat - but had no issues for 2yrs.When I came to change my monitor to a larger 4K display the power bricks were double the size (USB-C Pass through)- this meant it did not fit in my Small anymore - hence the upgrade to the Large. The large size is easily able to accommodate the 4 plug extension lead (fully flat) + 2x large USB-C power bricks + MacBook Pro charger without issue. The small has been re-purposed to sit on my desk to deal with all the excessive leads and chargers that I have to organise.

Kind of thin and flimsy but it's going to be under my desk so I don't expect it to undergo any particular stress. The lid doesn't fit particularly well and wants to pop off at the slightest touch, but again it's under the desk so once it's tucked away it shouldn't be a problem.I bought both sizes as I have 2 areas that needed tidying. Both are larger than I expected and have ample room for my extensions and lots of slack cable. I do have another extension that has individual switches on the sockets and I don't believe that one would fit though, so I recommend you measure up before you buy just to make sure.It has a few cut-outs so you can direct your cables nicely to where they need to go.I think this is better than similar products that just have a single large hole in the side to pull everything through,I agree with the other reviews that it's a bit pricey for what you get but I do feel it's worth it once you've sorted all your cables out. It just looks much neater.

I ordered the smaller size first but couldn't fit all my cables in and get the lid shut to got the larger box and it fits great.Coming out if the wall, I have a standard TV cable plus cables for a Sky HD Box plus i have a game console and a small tv booster box giving me 3 x HDMI cables plus all the power cables for TV, Sky and Games console. It was a complete mass of cables.Using some cable ties (not included) i first sectioned out the cable and cable then looped them inside the box with all power cables coming out teh end next to the wall plug sockets and all the TV cables coming out the other end and running up the tv cabinet.I popped non the box lid and it now looks so neat and tidy behindthe TV.The large white box even loses itself against the white skirting board so you don't even notice it in your eye line.Excellent solution for anyone looking to tidy up all the cables behind your TV. If you have as many cables as me, get the larger size.

PROS: Cables do look much tidier and overall I'm pleased with it. The 3 cable holes all face the back so you don't see cables leaving the box as much as with models where they exit at the sides. I also like the rounded shape - it makes it seem smaller.CONS: a little bit flimsy, so handle with care when organising socket block, wires and putting on lid. Be aware of effect of curve on measurements; I measured my 6-gang socket block and compared with length of box shown and thought there'd be ± 1.5cm to spare - enough to allow wire to bend round to exit hole. However socket block doesn't fit in lying flat like the photo, it only fits if turned on its side, which means the cables don't behave as well. This is because the measurement shown is the maximum and(of course!) it gets reduced as the sides of the box start to curve. Ideally you'd want socket block length to be around 34cm to fit in comfortably if you want it to lay flat inside.

Bought two of them (as seen on my picture) as I had two extensions under my tv unit. They fit there nicely. As you can see, I use them without the lids. I really packed it with cables (I have extension in them PLUS a massive black box that came with xbox which is about 5cm/10cm big) so the lid kept on popping up. I realise that it's nothing to do with the way the boxed are made but I simply put too much in them.I decided that it's probably best to give the cables some ventilation anyway so I don't mind that. I can't see the top part of the boxes or little bit of cables that stick out anyway so I'm happy with the way I've used them.IF you want to use it it only for extension and put some cables in too (without placing stupid and massive box/connector that comes with xbox)you will easily be able to close the lid to make it look neat. Would definetely recommend.
