This is a great headset for my needs, my headset before this was a Razer Kraken which cost nearly 3 times as much as this one, I will admit the sound quality was better on the razer one (That’s not to say the sound quality on this is bad, because it isn't), but the mic quality on this one is far better.I only use headsets when i'm TALKING to teammates, i have game sounds come through speakers and my friends' voices coming through my headset, so sound quality for me isn’t too big of a deal as long as my teammates are clear, which they are, and they said my voice is a lot better. So as far as that goes it's 10/10,I just don’t think it would be good if you had game volume coming through the headset to use for in game situational sound awareness. The comfort on these is also 10/10, I put myself through a 5 hour long game session, which is unlike me, just to test to see how my head feels during and after, and I must say I was really impressed, they are very light weight and the padding on the headband and ears is very comfortable, a lot better than my razer one which always started getting uncomfortable in an hour, the shape on the ears is also good because it's taller instead of round, and I also wear glasses which makes wearing headsets harder, but like i said after a 5 hour long game session of wearing these my head felt totally fine during and after and i wasn’t uncomfortable at all.The build quality could be better, but they’re aiming to be lightweight so there is not much they can do, I can see them breaking easily if you’re not careful, i haven't had these long enough to say fully on this department, but I will update my review if they end up falling apart after a few months.I always like my headsets to have an inline remote, as the one on this is perfect, I can lower my teammates voices on the fly and even mute myself incase my mum comes in shouting at me asking why I didn't flush the toilet, love itThe only thing that annoys me is the fact that the mic and headphone jack and Pink and Green, as my old razer headset had them black they looked a lot more aesthetically pleasing as I have them plugged into the front on my computer (Photo included) they’re also quite bulky too, but this is a minor thing and doesn’t take any points away for meSo all in all, i really like this headset as it's perfect for my needs, it has good comfort , good mic quality and decent enough sound quality, which is all I need anyway, just don’t expect to be blown away, they are only £30 after all.If you could this review informative or helpful please mark it as such as I'd really appreciate itThank you - Brandon

I game a lot online on PC, mostly MMO’s and use chat through Discord. When my 3 year old Creative Fatal1ty headset broke and I had a weekly raid organised I had to get a headset quick. I’ve tried other brands, SteelSeries and Turtle Beach but for me the Fatal1ty was a more comfortable fit.The Creative HS-810 SB Blaze is the successor to Fatal1ty and to be honest there was very few differences, which for me was great. The headset is very light and rests comfortably on the ears with a soft velvet padding which is good for long gaming sessions as I find leatherette style padding can get a bit sweaty. The inline volume control does feel rather cheap and it isn’t always clear if Mute has been selected. The mic moves freely & can be detached if not needed.Being a cheaper headset the sound is only stereo but with the right settings Left & right sounds are distinctive and for the games that I play that’s fine as I’m mostly listening to other players. Other players come through clear and if using Discord then you get more options for volume controls which work well with the SB Blaze. The main problem that I’ve had is since I’ve been using Twitch to record & stream raids my microphone comes across as loud with a slight reverb. Other players have ensured me that this isn’t the case from what they hear in real-time gameplay. It could be a Twitch problem but as I’m not a serious streamer then I’m going to continue using the SB Blaze however should I start to stream & record more then I might consider investing in a more expensive headset or even consider getting a proper set up with a dedicated microphone.Overall a good headset for a low price.

This is a standard gaming or general use headset for casual PC gamers. As you probably know, Creative are one of the leading manufacturers of PC and sound accessories and this, the SB Blaze headset, is of the standard you'd expect from such a top producer. It connects easily with a PC/laptop using the standard 3.5mm jacks, one for the headphones, and one for the microphone. The cable is approximately 2m long. Also on the cable is a useful in-line control which has a microphone on/off switch and a volume up and down dial.In use the game sound through these headphones is clear and doesn't distort even at high volumes. Even when presented with some music these headphones handle it well, although obviously they don't compare to a "proper" set of music headphones. The microphone presents your speech clearly too, and I didn't have any problems being understood in both games, and a video/sound messaging app. Finally, comfort-wise, again these are a good set of headphones. They're lined with a felt type material which does make them more comfortable although, again, they don't compare with more expensive headphones on the market; the ones you forget you're wearing. For gaming sessions of a few hours though, comfort won't be an issue with the SB Blaze.

Obviously I am not hte gamer in my family LOL, but there was one very happy 13 year old when these arrived :)Firstly, I have to say we have been unable to use the micrphone part of the headset due to the laptop my daughter has not having a microphone jack. Well if there is we can't find it. So although my daughter was a little disappointed with not being able to be totally cool she did love the headset. The first thing you notice as it is a little different is the cushioning at the centre of the headrest. Apparently this does make it very comfortable. As my daughter wears her headphones from the moment she comes home from school to the moment she goes to sleep I'm going to have to say she wouldbe the expert on this. The actuall earphone part is hinged so it molds to your ear again making it very comfortable. The sound quality is fantastic, very clear and distinct in both ears - you kow what I mean when I say sometimes headphones can lack quality in one ear.Another factor is the length of the lead fro the headphone jack to the laptop/gaming system. My daughter is going to test these out on her xbox over the weekend and I'm sure the length of the lead will allow greater freedom of mobility during game play :)

This is a set of headphones, aimed at gamers. So with that in mind, I gave them to my eldest son to try. He already has a set of headphones, which he had for last Christmas - but he felt these were every bit as good. They are very comfortable to wear (important for those who would be gaming for several hours), and there is a volume control on the line in, and a microphone on / off switch. The real key in any headphones is the sound. The type of sound you want is different depending on what you are listening to. So the sound requirements of a gamer is different to that of someone listening to a symphony, or rock music. My son felt these gave the right lift to the explosions and other sounds important in the games he plays.I tried the headphones for catching up on some programmes - and found they also worked very well for speech, which is sometimes lacking a little in headphones designed for music. And again, comfort was a factor here. In that respect, I'd also suggest these would be good for those needing a decent set of headphones for languages. In essence, we really liked these. They worked well for gaming and TV.

Absolutely fantastic headphones. I used the previous HS-800 for years and years, only ever owning two pairs because I broke one (my own fault, not a quality issue.) These new ones, however, are even better. The sound is fantastic, especially when ran through proper equaliser software, and the mic is perfectly positioned to not be obstructive yet transmit crystal clear audio. Incredibly comfortable fit; the lack of leather will ensure you can keep on using these for hours on end without your head getting sweaty or overheating - a problem I've really had in the past with more "high-end" headsets. For the price, you will find nothing better. In my personal experience,I've found LOTS more problems with more expensive headsets, so what's the point? Just make sure you take good care of the headset, don't throw it around, don't tug on the cable or run it over, and it'll last for a very, very long time. It should be obvious already, but I swear by these things - they've never let me down!

This is the third one of these headsets I've bought. They are cheap and work well enough but have a couple of weak points that don't stand the rigours of hard use.First of all the wiring into the volume controller is quite weak and has become detached on all three headsets I've owned over the past few years. The volume controller is moulded shut, so I wasn't able to repair this. The second flaw is the microphone cover which can easily fray and tear unless you are very careful when using and storing the headset. These are cheap to replace so it's not a deal breaker.Overall, for the price I can recommend this headset if you're on a tight budget. If you have a little more to spend and want something that will last more than a couple of years then look elsewhere.

A well constructed gaming headset. They look cool; simple, rounded and understated, with the current mean-looking Soundblaster Decepticon logo on the ear. The cable is really long – great if they need to snake round the back of your gaming less, though maybe less good for mooching around town with an iPod. The cable ends in a double-jack, one each for the headphones and the mic. They're a good fit and really confortable, though quite snug on my head. The sound quality is great and excellent for gaming—I tested with Counter-Strike—there's lots crispness and clarity, and plenty of space in the mix. The low-end is good too – these are fine everyday music headphones too.

I've used these on my laptop for the past 4 hours and they are comfortable and sound great. Not used the microphone so can't comment on that but they appear to be well made and pretty robust.I've principally got these to listen to music and iplayer radio whilst I work - I don't have the volume on too loud normally but there is some sound escaping at higher levels so I could have knocked a star of what otherwise would be a 5 * product but when you look at the price asked for them that would be churlish..My kids want to try them later as they look "cool" apparently.

Sound very clear for both me and the recipient on the other end of voice chats. Bought to replace what I thought was a broken Creative HS800 Fatal1ty Gaming Headset which this appears to be the replacement for. That headset wasn’t broken after 9 years of use and many, many drops I expect the same level of quality from this headset and so decided to keep it anyway.Useful detectable/mutable microphone that I have received no complaints about sound quality and sounds clear when played back to me in testing.

I had my last set of these for 9 years and the volume control became crackly and moving it would cut out some sounds in the game. I opened the casing of the volume control and sprayed it up and it works ok now. I decided to get a new set anyway as i expect them to go wrong again. I am very impressed with 9 years especially i have caught my feet on the cable and violently pulled them many times. Hope this new set is as good as the old. Time will tell i guess.

These are a nice looking set of gaming headphones but we found them a little uncomfortable after a while. The sound quality is ok but not brilliant, on certain things like gaming but much better listening to music through an ipod/ipad or computer.I like that the microphone can be moved out of the way or removed. I found that my smaller grandchildren liked them more than the older ones as they seemed to fit their ears more comfortably.

My husband is very pleased with these headphones. They are light and well cushioned making them easy to wear for long periods when gaming. The sound quality is excellent and great for all aspects of gaming. The microphone is detachable and has noise cancelling. The headphones also have an in-line volume control and microphone mute.Very good headphones for the price and aimed at the serious gamer. Could not find fault with them.

Right away when I plugged these in, I noticed that I had to turn down the mids and bass a lot more compared to the originals (the Fatal1ty gaming headset). These have artificial bass, because apparently that's the thing these days, but other than that; They sound pretty damn good for the price.I'm using a Sound Blaster Z card for my audio, none of that onboard junk in my house!

13.6.2019

I have more expensive headsets for gaming but these just work! I think the sound quality is very good for the price and I much prefer this headset when listening to music and gaming. Okay so the mic isn't amazing, my friends say it's clear though and have no issues hearing me in game. Very comfortable too over long periods, my ears don't get hot like with some headsets.
