The first thing to point out is that the Crayola Gigantic Colouring Book isn't very gigantic. The name suggests that the pages will be big but the pages are actually just A4 sized. I think the 'gigantic' actually refers to the large amount of pages inside the book, rather than the size of the pages. The book has 65 pages and there are pictures on both sides of every page, which means there are a whopping 130 pictures to colour. This means that the book lasts for absolutley ages - total value for money! And although the book has lots of pages, it isn't very heavy which means we can take it out and about easily enough. The pages aren't white and are more of an off-white colour. They look as though they are made from recycled paper. The colour of the paper doesn't affect the pictures or colouring in the pictures. This doesn't bother us at all, but may bother some...The pages can be torn out of the book (which is useful for sharing pages between children etc) but haven't been designed to be removed from the book very well - everytime we have torn pages out of the book they have come out quite jagged. All of the pictures are big and bold, and fill up most of the pages. The pictures are very varied and appeal to both boys and girls (it's totally unisex). The pictures are all drawn like cartoons and all of them are easy to make out.The majority of the pictures seem to be of people carrying out various activities which include easter egg hunting, digging, diving, tennis, feeding the ducks, at a party etc. There are also quite a few pictures of people dressed up (king, queen, princess, astronaut, pirate, ballerina, alien etc) and there are also plenty of pictures without people in (a garden scene, a dinosaur, aliens, rabbits etc).Just off the top of my head I would say that the colouring book encourages hand eye coordination, concentration and imagination.Best suited for 2-8 year olds. I recommend.

I only really bought this because I wanted to introduce creative play to my 14 month old son and I needed something to go with the crayons and pencils that I'd bought for him. He hasn't really had a go yet, but at a glance, the pictures are big and bold with plenty of designs to create some artistic inspiration.Obviously the book won't last long with a baby/toddler in charge, however it will provide mummy with plenty of enjoyment because she likes colouring!I'm hoping that if I start teaching early then the wallpaper might be saved in later months!!

I bought this for my 18 month old daughter last month as she loves to colour and it has certainly been a huge success in our household. The pictures are nice, simple and bold and easy to talk about whilst your toddler is colouring i.e fish, flower, tree etc.My only criticism would be that it is very tough to keep pages open and often springs shut but that said it is aimed at older children (although I do "try" to keep it open whilst she is colouring!) and it certainly wouldn't keep me from buying another!I would definitely recommend this book.

My 3 year old grandson's eyes widened when he saw this book and realised it was his very own to scribble and colour in.Sadly, being left handed (we think) he has to turn the book around and draws and colours with the pictures upside down so the middle of the book is at his right. We have decided to separate the pages of the next one we buy so he can at least have heads at the top and feet at the bottom.

This colouring pad is good for a prolific 'colouring in' toddler like mine, as there are so many pages.I prefer whiter pages so all her crayons show up - but this is probably made of recycled paper. I also prefer perforated pages so that I can pull out a page easily, without tearing the picture and she can focus on colouring in just one picture at a time....but for the price overall it is good!

Great colouring book. I bought this for my nephew and he loved flicking through all the pages, choosing which one he wanted to do. There are a lot of different pictures and shapes for them to perfect their colouring skills.

This is a really good colouring book, lots of simple pictures to colour in. However this book is not gigantic in size, I think they mean gigantic in the number of pages. Its a normal A4 size book. But well worth the money.

Excellent colouring book with big bold line drawings. Team up with chunky Crayola crayons - keeps a 2 1/2 year old happy for the best part of an hour at a time on a wet day - and that takes some doing!

Great book, high quality pages and doesn't transfer much onto the other side so the images on the other side of the page can be coloured in without spoiling any of the images.
