At time of review I paid a few pennies shy of 60. Equally priced in comparison to other retailers.I'm 12 hours in with it and I'm amazed. Usually I'd wait a month or so until writing a review but this just can't wait. This review is for the Corsair Nightsword rgb model. This FPS/MOBA mouse is outstanding. Firstly the shape, size, weight and fit. Normally it takes me a few days to get used to a new mouse, the feel, the difference.... If you're looking to by this then I assume you know what I mean. It was like the mouse was designed to fit my hand perfectly. The thumb rest is a unique and just feel So natural. The rubber grip is comfortable and airy, haven't had sweaty palms yet. The buttons are placed perfectly.Often they are clumsily placed and are easily pressed. These are all tucked away and in great positions. This isn't for people with small hands. I think it would be uncomfortable. The features are impressive. Ridiculous dpi capability. A weight system so you can fine tune the mouse to your style. The rbg is crazy. 4 different zones all customisable with so many different effects and settings. Multiple profiles so you can have different dpi presets depending on you're preference. The ICUE app has 9 sections all with different settings. Weight tuning, hardware lighting, hardware actions, actions, lighting effects, surface calibration, inboard profiles, dpi, hardware lighting. Each sections has numerous options, settings and custom configuration aspects. The mouse itself looks impressive and has a braided cable. Mouse is so smooth on a suitable surface.10 macro buttons. So many different options and configurations. The sniper button is perfectly placed and isn't uncomfortable to press and hold like some. Dpi setting indicator leds let you know what setting you're on.It's all plastic with rubber grips but it does by no means feel cheap and shoddy. It feels quite premium. My uses are gaming, video and photography editing.I spent hours deciding what mouse I was going to invest in. This came out on top in term of specs and features that suit my requirements. I'm so much more happy than I thought I would be with it. If you have the money and you want a mouse packed with awesome features, Rgb, ergonomic design, slick appearance and elite performance this is not a bad choice to make. I fell out of love with corsair a few years ago but this has reignited my love for their peripherals!10 out of 10 in all categories!

This is an incredible mouse but there are a couple of things you need to know before buying, firstly where the sniper button is, the non slip plastic wears off with constant use, no problem to me i prefer it smooth anyway so i rubbed the remaining stuff off easily, note: all the rest of the mouse plastics are 100% perfect after nearly a year of constant use. secondly its the first button, it doesnt go faulty (like inexperienced people on here claim), it gets oxidised from use after a few months, there is an easy fix for this, due to these mice having the top end omron switches you need to take the top off the mouse and give every button a couple of drops of DeOXIT D100, problem is cured instantly, this is a very easy task even a monkey could do it. (2 small screws underneath) and the top clips off.I added more weight to mine with model railway weights, and added further diffusion for the leds inside with a piece of laminating sheet cut into a 2cm square, now white really is white. This is a great performing mouse, mine is primarily used in music production but i do play the occasional game like online pool and racing games, it really is a very very good mouse, i like heavy mice although from the box its quite heavy i added an extra 30grams with the model railway weights, now its really heavy which is what i love, when working on my songs the mouse doesnt run off all over the place (very annoying) also even greater accuracy is achieved by doing this as it adds inertia.i paid 35 quid for mine out the catalogue on a special offer, for this price its absolutely incredible, the 2 zone lighting is amazing and bright and very uniformed, this is actually the only rgb product ive ever owned that can actually do white properly. you can also set a hardware lighting profile so theres no need to run the iCue software.if you get all of the items in the corsair ecosystem you will have one amazing setup i tell you.DO NOT - I REPEAT DO NOT USE WD40 FOR SWITCH CLEANING, it will strip the lubricants out of the switches, use DEOXIT D100

I should start this stating that my unit may be a 1 in a million case, read on for more info. This is a great budget gaming mouse. With an awesome sensor rivilling even some logitech ones, and the buttons are all click and feel solid. I personally am a palm gripped and had no problem with anything, and the sniper button is perfect for micro adjustments when holding a pixel peek in siege. The ergonomics are a different story, as corsair have not gone with a safe design. I personally found that the not so smooth edges dug into my hands during long sessions, like when scrimming or playing in tournaments. I also think that the angle at which the back humps is a tad too sharp, and if you have small wrists like myself they will hurt after a small while. I think this design best suits fingertip or claw grip however. Now to my issue. Sadly my return period has run out, so I've ordered a logitech g305, since I have small hands and that's the best budget small mouse according to RJNs top 40. Basically my mouse is become unresponsive and random, even though I've had it for 4 or so months now. The buttons often lag or dont work at all, and sometimes mouse 1 holds down even when you simply tap it for a single quick click, which has gotten me revealed more than once. The buttons will also randomly activate, meaning my character can throw a grenade (which is bound to a side button) straight at a teammate, with me having no control over it. I'm also having some tracking issues, now I know this isnt due to my mouse pad. I have an aukey xxl mousepad and it's fantastic, and has been awesome on every mouse I've had people use on it. Its regularly cleaned and isnt creased, and yet my mouse often is off, meaning a movement at 10 degrees goes 20, so on. Now I havent let this affect the score for the sole reason that it seems I'm the only one having this much trouble.Reviewed by Sammy Dunne, Rainbow Six Player for Insert Team Name Here

I initially began PC gaming with a Corsair M65 RGB PRO. It was a nice little mouse, however they had issues. Nothing glaring, every~1000 clicks the left mouse button would get stuck down and require an extra press to unstick. The scroll wheel was a little dodgy but it was a good mouse. This thing? The M65 Elite? A perfect upgrade. I've been using the thing for nearly two months now and I wouldn't go back. Neither of the issues with the predecessor have surface here. This mouse looks sleeker, feels a little better to use and via Corsairs iCUE software it has the ability to go up and down in DPI steps of 1 instead of steps of 100 like the PRO. Is it a major upgrade? No. Is it a worthwhile upgrade?Yes.If you have particularly short hands this mouse may be a little bit of a struggle to use. My partner hates it with her small hands. But for me with fairly big hands it's perfect. It fits really really well and no matter the grip (be it claw, palm etc) it effortlessly gets the job done.Along the sides the material used is different to the material used on the top of the mouse. I found it a little annoying at first as it is a little bit of a jarring texture however I believe this could be to help with gripping the mouse. After a few days-one week of using the mouse however I no longer noticed the difference in textures. In actual games it performs great. I combined it with a "HyperX HX-MPFS-S-XL FURY S Speed Edition Pro" mouse pad and it really does do one hell of a job. I play Overwatch primarily and tracking as well as flicking are an absolute breeze. All In all for the price it's a really solid piece of kit. Is it the best gaming mouse out there? Probably not. Is it the worst? Far from it. I'd recommend this mouse to anybody looking to get a pretty mouse without compromising on performance.

My son has one of these and does a lot of gaming. When I first touched it I loved the weight and feel. I have previously used numerous fairly expensive Logitech mice, mostly wireless. When my latest wireless Logitech mouse started playing up (connection issues) I decided it was time for a new brand and going back to wired, so I bought this one - especially since it was on sale at Amazon.I'm pleased with it. Not over the moon. Pleased. Very pleased that since many previous reviews and questions, the developers had produced Mac version of their software so Mac users get the same features as Windows users. It is so perfectly weighted and their is almost zero drag of the wire - you hardly notice there's a wire attached. However, I have 2 gripes with it.1. Slight noise of the scroll wheel. Mostly there is the expected low pitch tone of the steps of the scroll wheel (which sounds very 'high quality' rather than the tinny rattle of cheaper mice) but now and then there is a 'rattle' sound when using the scroll wheel. Slightly annoying.2. The very prominent texture of the sides. For many this is just fine and dandy but some people struggle with textures (I'm one of them odd people). It's a very rough texture which for anyone with a 'texture sensitivity' it can be unpleasant. I have put a couple of bits of black electrical (smooth) tape over the areas my fingers and thumbs are mostly in contact with to smooth those areas.Overall I am pleased with it and it is a big step up in quality over many expensive Logitech mice and despite the niggles I won't be sending it back!

A great computer mouse and a reasonable size. Not too bulky or too small, so works well for people with small or larger hands. The weight can be evened out by taking the weights out the bottom as it is a little heavier with the weights in, but I find it more comfortable that way. The Corsair software is very good and you can make any adjustments on there such as DPI and colour. I read the side buttons were too far back, so I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to reach them quickly in gameplay, but they are at a good level and you can very easily reach them, which is good for melee in FPS games and such. The scroll wheel is very comfortable and clicks into place with each scroll for more accuracy. The sniper button is a nice touch and again, the DPI for which can be adjusted through the software for further accuracy when scoping. It's not very hard to catch it while playing and can be turned off through the software if you are worried your grip may accidentally catch it while in gameplay. I feel like it's very helpful to have so it doesn't mean having to scroll through DPI options with the additional buttons if you need to change it instantly and quickly. My only complaint is with the white model, it has a gloss finish shell so that the white doesn't get dirty, this is good to avoid dirt buildup, but if your hands get sweaty the mouse can get somewhat slippery on top and you can lose your grip. Otherwise, this is a perfect mouse.

OK, so I'll be the first to admit I'm not the worlds best gamer, but I wanted a mouse that was:1. Wired2. Heavy3. White and black (ha!)Given that I'd ordered a bunch of other Corsair stuff at the time (see my other reviews) this one fit the bill perfectly. It's not really for intense gaming sessions, more sedate stuff, but my new sim racing rig is a permanent fixture and so doesn't need a wireless mouse and all of the battery shenanigans that brings with it.It's a lovely looking mouse, and the weights on the bottom give it that little bit of heft and "lower centre of gravity" that I look for in a mouse. You can remove these if you want and dial it into your personal preference. The high DPI makes it super easy to move around the screen with ease, but the crosshair button that drops the DPI while you hold it down is a great option in a lot of situations, not just fast action/FPS games. I play a lot of cue-sport games, and so this button allows me a degree of fine control on top of what the game might already allow. Or even in MS Office apps where you need that little bit of extra finesse. The hand-feel is great, it's not too big and I have small-average sized hands. The clicks are positive and it's very smooth on most surfaces. The only criticism I have found so far is a pedantic one - the braided cable can be a bit scratchy depending on what it's brushing over. Petty I know! ;)

Having dumped wireless gaming mice because of the limitations of battery power drain, looking at you G700s (if I need it plugged in all the time, I may as well used a wired mouse).Enter the Corsair M65 ELITE. RGB gaming mouse, but wired, so no dongle required. I have it plugged directly into my Logitech G513 so keeping my desk clear. It's a nice size, even with my big mitts, and I use it for general computer use and gaming (UT & Doom variants, even good old Quake 3). I'm tend to have my fingers resting on the mouse, so there's no comfort issues with use. I also found that swapping the weights did nothing for me, but your mileage may vary.As with most gaming mice now, there's the Corsair iCue software that runs all the settings and RGB lighting and on your other Corsair peripherals, though this isn't available for Mac users (yet?). To tell the truth, I'm not the target demographic that needs lights on everything so they were okay for 15 minutes. I only have lights on my keyboard so I can type in low light (even though my touch typing is pretty good).Anyway, buttons are all close to hand (ahem) and it didn't take long for my fingers to work out where everything goes and now it all runs smoothly (though my amount of fragging doesn't improve).

Had the original M65 mouse for around 4 years (white version) which was so comfy and a really great mouse. I changed my PC setup and fancied an upgrade but when i saw the Elite version on sale to £35 i had to have it.absolute steal for the price. Thanks Amazon. The mouse is an improvement in every way from the original (can't speak about the pro). It is comfier to use, the sniper button is a better place and the ergonomics of the mouse are much improved and i find it comfier (this is down to personal preference) The RGB lighting is improved. overall i am extremely satisfied with it and currently putting it through it's paces on Quake Champions,Ion Fury and PUBG.I've also had a few games on Heroes of the Storm and Age of Empires II Definitive Edition and the mouse is accurate, well built and comfy to use. If your on the fence just buy it!I don't know where the negative reviews come from where they say it clicks on it's own and its broken... honestly what do you do with your mouse to cause this? i have NEVER broken one. I'm not saying every single one is perfect as at the end of the day the item is a electronic item and some will fail. Get it.

I purchased this as a replacement for a mouse that had started playing up. The build quality of this mouse is apparent as soon as you pick it up. The internal metal and external plastic parts all feel solid.Tracking is by far the best feature of the mouse. It is very VERY precise. The target / slow down button on the left allows you to easily make pixel-level adjustments to the mouse position when required, a great feature for CAD etc.The buttons on the top of the mouse next to the roller allow you to adjust the mouse tracking speed on the fly as well so you can speed up or slow down the mouse pointer relative to your mouse movements.Even the cable gets a mention here as it has a nice braidedsheath and feels very high quality. If there is a downside to mention it is that the roller does not rock left or right so horizontal scrolling is not possible with this mouse unless you use the pointer and drag a scroll bar on screen.Overall I would rate this mouse very highly:Build Quality: 5 star (very good)Functionality: 5 star (very good)Price: Acceptable given the product

I should just state its downside for those looking for em.1. No spin-wheel/adjustable wheel, a severe downside that makes this really an only-for-gaming mouse2. The two macros buttons are too subtle, not tactile and protrusive enough....i.e. relatively hard and unpleasant to press3, Size. Think the consensus now is that G502 is the best all-round non-wireless mouse, but as a user of the old G500, I just find it unacceptably small and thin, and it fits neither of my grip styles. The M65 is much better than that, although if you have a big hand this might not be for you unless you're a claw grip person.4. Programme: There is no doubt the Corsair Utility Engine has insane customizability, but I must say it is slightly less user-friendly than the Logitech and Razer one.5. Front Zone lighting is almost unnoticeable when using from the normal position, so insignificant you won't even realize in the dark, unless staring from above the mouse...which is never* I bought this mouse at the discounted price of £39

Bought from AMZ Warehouse Re-stocked item to make a saving. Item still works well and the only slight mark at the back of the unit hardly noticeable.Fit nice in my relatively small hands using the palm grip as opposed to the claw type. Button rest into fingers and thumb well. Compliments my Corsair K63 keyboard and works with Corsair Cue software to program the full colour RGB lighting effects.Shape takes some time getting used to, about a days worth of game play and then everything falls into place well. The sniper button on the thumb reduces the current selected resolution to a low one helping you to aim when zoomed in. Difficult to get used to at first but with some perseverance it can be your best tool for FPV games. It also works well with video editing by slowly scrubbing through your timeline to get that exact frame you want to splice. Its it good? Yes, very good and I am pleased with this purchase.

The mouse itself is great and comes with the ability to customise dpi settings. However, it lacks basic functionality in the sense that you cannot reprogram the buttons on the side to do something else withing the software (I downloaded x-mouse button control to change the two thumb buttons but was not able to change the "sniper" button) and the fact I have no use for the sniper button is infuriating - if it is possible to do so, it is not obvious or easy for me to do so. There is also no ability to upload a macro that you have downloaded online or code a macro so you have to click the buttons yourself. Many mice I have bought have been unable to record the speed at which I move the mouse but have never had any problems with and overall this is a brilliant mouse. The colour is deault set to yellow and can be changed in the supplied software but this software must be open otherwise it switched back to yellow.

Lovely mouse fits the hand nicely. Goes nicely with my case and corsair k70 keyboard. I use this primarily for first person shooters, mainly counter strike, and rainbow six. Once used to it it's a perfect weight for accuracy and not too heavy for flicks. The extra mouse buttons it's perfectly placed and it doesn't feel at all unnatural to use your thumb to utilise them. I have my sniper button set up as team chat, particularly useful in counter strike as it doesn't stop me from moving or aiming (GEEK!)The only negative I have found is that in some games the sensitivity buttons on the top of the mouse change my dpi for no reason.I personally don't feel the need for multiple dpi as I try to get my cursor to move as close to the same in every game and on the desktop for aim consistency, and I have changed the sensitivity on all to the same dpi, so it doesn't affect me.

I've logged a good 300 hours+ on FPS games with this mouse now and would definitely recommend it to other FPS players. It as very easy to set up the different programmed DPI levels and is seamless to change mid game with the buttons either side of the scroll wheel. Likewise the sniper button is perfectly placed for quick use when taking those all important shots. I've seen some comments that it is easy to trigger by accident but I've not done this this once yet.The RGB light settings are very easy to set up and use through the iCUE software that comes with the mouse. It took me max 2 minutes to have the lights matching all the MSI set up - only niggle is if i change the settings for my keyboardi have to go on icue to change the mouse separately but I rarely change the settings so not a problem at all really.
