The PSU is pretty nice, it is quite quiet I don't really notice any noise from my case as I have a fan controller that I adjust to keep quiet but keep the system running nice and cool. The PSU I have mounted upside down to keep temperatures to a minimum.Pros- Modular PSU is nice for not having excess cables to deal with- Reasonable price for a semi-modular 80+ Bronze PSU especially from a reputable companyCons- The CPU power cable isn't really long enough so it can't really be managed for my motherboard very easily, I just sort of have to have it cutting through my airflow and blocking it a fair bit.- The Sata 3 power cable is just that tiny bit too short for it to reach both my HDD and my optical drive comfortably, there is slack in the cable from the PSU to the HDD but then it feels like it was built for just reaching others in a long rack of HDDs because there is barely enough length for it to reach the Optical drive at the top of the case which limits the cable management that is possible. I even have a corsair case in which everything is mounted so I really did expect the cables to have enough length in them considering they built the case.If they ran the power cable for the CPU slightly longer and they made the SATA 3 cables slightly longer then it would be perfect.

I don't usually write reviews on here, but I was so happy with this I had to! I got the 750w model. My specs:1 TB HDDGPU - Nvidia GTX 970CPU - Intel Core i7 3770Motherboard - P8H77-V LERAM - Duel DDR3 8GBI bought a Nvidia GTX 970 a few months back, and for a long time I was in BSOD hell because, as it turned out, my old PSU wasn't giving it enough power. Now I have this beauty, and it runs like a dream. It was very easy to install, and this was my first time installing a PSU. It's clear what each cable is used for, so there's little room for error, and of course, it's modular, so you only use the cables you need, making for easier cable management. It still looks like an absolute mess for me,but that's most likely because I suck at cable management! Perhaps most importantly, it's extremely quiet. Well, the whirring of my other fans are louder than it is, anyway. So if it does make a noise, I haven't noticed.I will give a small warning: it's pretty beastly, so you'll need a decent sized case to fit it.All in all, I couldn't be happier. Corsair are highly regarded among PSU manufactures, and now I see why.

I saw alot of bad reviews recently on peoples PSU being faulty and ruining their rig in the process, so i was a little bit nervous on receiving my CX750M. I am upgrading my PSU from a CX500M which was also purchased from amazon, due to upgrading my GPU from a gtx 660 to a gtx 970 strix.Iv got to be honest i can hardly tell the difference as it makes little noise and gives off little heat just like my old CX500M, but all in all this is a great value PSU and corsair are a decent brand so for now its 10/10 and a good 10/10 for amazon. Iv only had the PSU for 1 day so if any changes happen i will update review but so far so good.Note to Zalman z11 midtower owners like me:I had a little troublefitting this due to the power supply being a little bigger in width and length and if you have a 140mm fan at the bottom of your case(like i did) next to your PSU, im afraid you will have to remove that as this PSU covers the holes for your fan and is impossible to line up. But good news is you can fit 120mm fan their with a small 8mm gap between to spare the PSU and the fan so just a little heads up for people with that case.

I love the modular cables on this power supply. it means that I can leave off a whole bunch of cables that I don't need which improves air flow and keeps the case tidy. The power supply is working well and will work on any TKX motherboard.this is referred to as "semi modular" as the main supply needed for the motherboard is hard wired into the power supply. this isn't a problem as you need this connection any way, so having it modular is a waste of time, money and effort. Having this cable fixed is the right thing to do.Molex and floppy cables are included, but devices that use these are not too common now. I now there will still be some kicking about - I have a few old drives in boxes that could use them, but for reasonably new kit, you will most likely need and use the SATA cables. It's reasonably quiet so it wont interrupt your gaming or movie watching. Standard UK "kettle lead" type power input cable is supplied with this.Good piece of kit. it works well and stays quite. what else do you need?If you find this review useful, please click "YES" next to "Was this review helpful to you?" The most dreadful thing happened, on Friday evening (of all days) my computer just stopped. For me that was the day the earth stood still. I could not imagine spending a whole weekend without my PC. So on quick investigation I found out the power supply was fried. I looked for a quick replacement from stores in the area like Maplin, curry's etc, but as I was working I would not have the time to get to them on Saturday. So thanks to Amazon Prime, I immediately started looking at the power supplies on my way to work on Saturday. And managed to find this that they were going to deliver on the same day. Problem sorted. Now back to the Item in question. It is a semi-modular power supply,my first one (and I couldn't afford a fully modular yet). It works awesomely. Due to being modular It helped my cable management nicely as any connectors I didn't need I stowed away. It came with enough spares to help me plug in my 5 HDDs, 1 SSD and the numerous other cards and fans I have in my Baby (PC). Will definitely recommend.

Fantastic, a great upgrade for my dying old machine while I'm building my new rig, which this will be used for.I've had maybe every PSU related issue in the book in the last few years and this should clear it all up, besides the fact I'm replacing my entire machine.Sockets are a tight squeeze but that is a good thing since I know they'll stay where I put them. Inside the box, there isn't any information on installation so best either know what your doing or look it up, but as is standard with pc builds, if it fits in the hole, it goes in the hole.I've got this fitted at the top on my tower, fan facing down, which I read some other reviewers have ran into issues.I believe it's possible they have received defunct parts as mine runs great and I always consider that the old school, normal way they go in, proven by the corsair label being the right way up when the fan faces downAny issues and I'll update the review but so far, great piece of kit, well worth it

I bought this PSU for a full tower and 6 disks. I wasn't completely aware of which cables were included (usually not enough so you have to buy extra cables) but I was pleasantly surprised. Standard, 8 disks are supported and the cables are long enough for a full tower. Mind you that both power supply and disks are located at the bottom, so if the PSU is on top and disks at the bottom -or the other way around-, you may find that it's a bit harder to fit and keep all cables neatly away.I wouldn't use this in a smaller mid or mini tower with these cables because there would be too much bulk (then again,I like full towers if only to let the case breathe and cool the parts inside a little better). The reason why I didn't give a 5-star is because I do find the fan isn't as quiet as a lot of people describe. Don't get me wrong, it's certainly not loud! But for the price, I'm not complaining. It's not a £150 PSU either so I can't expect too much.

I have owned this for around 6 months now and after gaming with it most days, is still going strong!Pros:Good for the money. I purchased this as one of the cheaper power supply's from Corsair, maybe naively trusting within the name without looking to far into other reviews.Great for office use and light gaming. I have never had an issue with this power supply with every day browsing and light gaming.Cons:The only issue i have had is whilst playing high intensity games. Due to the high power need of my computer there can be an occasional audible buzzing noise coming from the power supply, with many other reviews on-line to back this up,i believe the CX series of power supply's may not be suitable for high end gaming.Overall i would recommend this product to anyone with a mid range gaming computer who is looking to use it for casual light gaming and office use. Not as a high end gaming power supply.

Corsair Builder Series CXM 750W Modular 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATXArrived in good time in one piece. Really pleased with the quietness of it, as my CIT 750 was growling like a hungry beast. Personally I could have done with a little instruction with it but the internet gave me the answers I needed. The sheathing was pretty hefty & unwieldy and more than long enough. Looking forward to it lasting a bit longer than the average psu.Edit: Two years on and I have just got another one as I started getting intermittent shat downs, which quite quickly became very regular. From the messages I got it became unstable and my PC shut down to protect.Quite quickly it got so bad it would not even start and would hang half way.On the positive side I got plenty of warning and had time to buy a replacement, which instantly gave me a whisper quite and stable power supply again.

Previous reviews seem mixed. The product that arrived was installed easily enough, is doing it's job and is very quiet.I'm powering three hard drives, a dvd drive, a GTX 550 Ti and a GTX 780 Ti and the motherboard and cpu ofc. This leaves me with two cables entirely free and of those cables I am using I have four spare peripheral plugs (each cable will power four items, but because of the layout of the case I'm using two cables to power four devices). If I were to swap the 550 for another 780 there would also be enough capacity with the cables I'm using. So yeah, the product seems to be working well, but then it's hardly heavily loaded. It also comes with cable ties to help you keep the inside of your pc a little tidier. That said each of the cables is quite long so they do take up quite a bit of space inside the case.

With my previous PSU, i had so many problems; when my computer was booting up it was unimaginably loud and sounded like it was going to blow up or something: the wires didn't reach across my motherboard properly, meaning i had to unscrew it from the case and stand it on it's side: and it didn't have enough cables to connect to all the fans and hardrives, etc etc. This PSU however, was so silent when i first booted my computer up with it, that i thought it was broken and hadn't turned on yet. It's also powerful enough to run 2 hard-drives, 6 fans and a high end graphics card. The extra plugable wires were really useful for keeping my case clean and organised and the "wrap" around the main powercable were very attractive and high quality.10/10 would recommend to everyone.

This PSU is great! The install was simple, the cables are not so bendy but are hard and look like they will last a long time. Plenty of extra cables to allow you to power A BEAST. I had a CiT 750w PSU before (Don't judge me:S) and that blew in just 7 days!! This had been running now for over a month! Running Prime tests (got a OC) and if on a high demand you cannot hear the fan which i find amazing. i'm not bothered about the 80 PLUS but its a nice to have feature. All in all this is a great product, if the SATA cables were slightly more bendy it would be a 5 stars, but i think its a very good buy and worth the money.------EDIt--------Just to let you know recently swapped from a r7 250 to a r9 290x and this baby is still silent and still running lovly, worth the money!

I've been modifying my PC for a very long time now and I can say, without any doubt, that this is the best addition I made to my rig. I bought the 750w modular version to replace an awful £15 500w psu which was loud and hot. Well, I couldn't have been happier. This Corsair CX 750M is so quiet that I can finally hear myself think. The temperatures stay surprisingly low while throwing demanding games such as battlefield and Watch_Dogs at it. If you are thinking of buying this power supply do not hesitate. Though I would definitely recommend the Semi-modular version as you only use the cables that you need.It comes with 2x 6 and 8 pin PCI-e power connectors so you will be relatively future proof for a long time!

I chose this power supply to power my custom built pc, I placed it under loads of stress having it power two hard drives and my entire rig. Which includes two GTX 760's and an overclocked I5 processor. It has been powering this rig for a few months now and is still performing perfectly. It creates almost no noise, and due to it being black fits the apparel of any build. The power supply came with many cables which saved me from having to buy them separately. The only downside of this power supply is it being Semi-Modular, but due to the sacrifice of detachable cables this power supply is a much better price. I would highly recommend this power supply and the seller, and will definitely buy from corsair again.

This 750w Semi Modular Corsair power supply is perfect! You have got 2 main cables attached, those you are going to connect to you motherboard anyway. Other cables you connect depending on how many you need, hdd, dvd room, video card ect. so after you done you don`t have extra cables hanging in the pc tower to block your air flow.I like the size, its not big for a 750w power supply, after I done building my pc tower it looks like I have few cables going through tower which leaves all the room for better air flow. I think price is ok for semi modular "corsair" power supply. You cant cheap out on power supply because know brand +80 ensures your components wont be fried.
