This pair of grinders replaced a pepper grinder of the same make which wore out after a VERY long life of heavy use.The build quality is good (as expected)They are significantly easier to fill than their predecessor and just as efficient at doing the job of grinding peppercorns.They are sold as a pair with the presumption that they will be "Salt and Pepper" but of course can be used for either. We chose to have two pepper grinders which means that it is easier to find One!The astonishing thing is that the pair were sold for a price MUCH lower than other grinders were asking for a single unit.If you want a battery powered salt or pepper grinder DONT HESITATE - BUY THESE.

I purchased a few of these as gifts at Christmas, so far everyone I purchased for loves them, has had no problems with them and look great in their kitchens. I already own a pair of these, a slightly older model, but they are fantastic. The light in the bottom allows you to see how much salt or pepper you are putting on your plate. The only downside to these is you need 6 batteries for each mill, but with normal everyday use, the batteries will last more than a year. I cant remember when I last changed the batteries in mine and they are still going strong. Would definitely recommend whether it be for yourself or as a gift.

Lovely grinders easy to fill and add batteries although you do need 6 in each mill come as a pair batteries not included , considering the size of the grinders they don't hold much salt or peppercorns but are sturdy and well built quite loud when in use but on the plus do have a light which comes on when grinding buttons seem ok at moment and time will tell how long they last in comparison to cheaper makes with same spec , a bit pricey but wanted something that would work well and last

We were looking for a present for one of our friends, and as they had seen our salt and pepper pots decided to purchase a similar set for them. They are easy to fill and assemble, and having a LED this shows you precisely where to condiments are going, especially useful for dim candle-lit dinners. In our case using Duracell alkaline batteries the life has been excellent, largely because of the intermittent nature of the utilisation. Very pleased.

We had a set of these for many years which performed very well and reliablyWhen they wore out, we looked for a replacement and purchased an alternative product which turned out to be very poor quality and was returned to Amazon for creditWe then found these available on Amazon and purchased these with which we are very satisfied

Now the whole family has a set! So much better than the twist grinders which always struggle to grind both salt and pepper to the same degree. These are easy and efficient. The only down side being they take lots of batteries!

I am really pleased with the salt and pepper grinders - they are easy to fill and operate - the salt and pepper are ground to a perfect consistency. Delivery was amazingly quick - so five stars all round

I really like the look and style of these items and they have a cute light which shines on your plate when in use..the only downside to these items is they take sooooo many batteries,

Bought to replace an earlier model which failed. Slight changes have been made which I hope will make it more robust. Time will tell. Bought because I like the way they work.

Great, love them - look really smart on our dining table. Dispense the contents very quickly so be careful if you're not looking to over indulge.

My previous set I have had for years but it stopped working. The new set is sturdy and has a light which I had on previous one. Very pleased.

Look and feel great, the only down side is the pepper mill doesn't grind very well, even after adjusting, but is ok.

I just love the fact they both have lights to show how much seasoning you have put on both work very well

Good quality, good looks but very difficult to unscrew in order to fill. Otherwise very efficient.

Good quality and good enough to leave on the worktop. They even make the pepper taste better!
