It is perfecto for us. It is big enough for a couple of days worth of trash (family of 4) but it is not too bulky as other types. We have had it for a couple of months and it is holding up well. It is easy to assemble and it is easy to change the bags.PROS: Compact and incospicous, spacious and easy to clean.CON: The lid unit is one for both compartments so if one is too full the entire lid gets lifted a bitThe opening catch is less easy to open than a pedal one but we knew before ordering and it is a small inconvenience really. The pedal ones were either too small or too big.Haestetically is not necessarily the prettiest as it is white plastic but i can be cleaned easily and doesn't show fingerprint marks as the crome ones would.I am planning to paint the base it the same colour of the cabinets.Overall quite happy with this product.

Great bins for dual use - we use one side with a bag for non recyclables and the other side for mixed recycling without. As others have said they are big enough for a family of four and considerablybetter value than other similarly sized bins. The two separate sides are held together by a clip at the base and by the lid which covers both sides with a separate spring loaded button opening for each compartment. My only complaints after a year of sustained use is that the plastic base of one side has cracked a little and the springs that push the lids up can spring out and get lost. I'm down to 2 of the original 4 - but in future if I can get replacements I'll tape/glue them in place.

Having read other reviews, I expected this to be incredibly flimsy and useless. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality of this bin.Sure enough, I don't think it would last long with kids playing with it, but what bin does? The catches on the front buttons work fine, the opening spring is strong enough, and it seems better built than previous plastic bins I've had. It's a utilitarian bin that means I don't have to spend almost twice the price on two separate bins of a comparable size - though I will say I did notice the other reviews pointing out that the bins are 23 litres each and not 30 litres.

I was looking for a bin that would cope with recycling and general rubbish, but be a decent size without taking over the kitchen. This fits the bill, nice and compact, but roomy inside. I have been surprised how much you can get in them. The bins are held together at the base by a little triangular clip and by the lid. Only gripe is the springs on the lids have fallen off so doesn't open as well as it did. Not a big problem, just not as good as it could be. Overall really pleased.

This is a really good piece of kit. I was fed up having to find space for all the recycling bins in my small kitchen and these twin bins are perfect. I thought they were a bit small when they arrived, but they hold a surprising amount of stuff, and they're easy to take apart for emptying and cleaning. They look good too. I think I might have started a fashion because everyone asks me where I got them. They can seem a bit fiddly to start with, but everyone soon got the hang of it.

Good points: It works well for two adults with plastic liner bags - one side for waste and the other for recycling. It is reasonably easy to keep clean with the liner bags. Whether it is big enough for families is another point!Bad point: The springs that push the lid up broke quite quickly and we haven't been able to find replacements anywhere - no response so far from the manufacturers to email. We had to resort to sticky tape on the edge of the lid to pull it up!

It's a small bin by some peoples standards but it suits my needs really well. The Spring release can be a little tough and would benefit from being slightly bigger, but it opens and shuts well and really fast. I found 25L liners that fit really well in Asda. And if you think it's too small just empty it more often, that's a no brainier. You could even get wheelie bin liners and just tip the whole thing out each time rather than using loads of bags.

This twin-bin meets all my requirements. It is only slighty smaller than the previous single swing bin but enables me to separate the recycleable waste from the non-recycleable.The separate bins are easy to empty as the poly bag liners are easily removed from individual bins.It would have been 5 star rating if it had had different coloured lids to identify the contents of each bin but for the price it is really good value.

Needed a big enough double bin for recycling, and this was the best one I found and glad I went for it.It’s the perfect size, and we have two recycling bins so helped to save space and not end up with everything mixed.Has a plastic seal under the lid for holding a bag in place but I’ve skipped that as it’s just recycling. Easy to assemble and clean, can be used separate if you don’t want to use a lid.

The little band that hold them together at the bottom broke nearly instantly, and the flip up mechanism is a bit flimsy - fortunately I didn't care about any of those, I'm using them in an under-counter slide-out bin I installed - they were the biggest ones that fit... but the actual bins are fine. not industrial heavy duty, but plenty sturdy enough for normal domestic use.

I only had these bins 3 mths when one of the springs went missing ....must have been thrown out with the rubbish but they are easy to refix if I knew where to buy some but I do like the bins and they fit perfectley in my kitchen cupboard but now have difficulty in opening the one with the missing spring would anyone know where to buy some springs?

This is not really a 'dual compartment bin' - it's just two bins with a piece of plastic to hold them when the double lid goes on. It's not brilliant as the bit of plastic easily drops off if you move the bins at all. It's not a very good design, but the bins themselves are fine, a decent size and good for separating recycling stuff.

Wanted a double bin for my kitchen to separate food waste from other non recycling waste this duo fit the bill. The colours are perfect for my kitchen, easy to keep clean, just wish it was available in a bigger size ie. 50 L it would have been even better because food packaging takes up a lot of room.

Good item and price only trouble was it arrived and the lid was cracked rhe packing was not great it was an amazon warehouse deal so o got it cheaper the crack was not noticable and the broken piece did not affect the use otherwise a great item right size looks good and is very practical recommended

This dual bin was exactly what we were looking for as replacement to our old 3 compartment bin. The Axentia is really good, it fits together well and is light but very sturdy. It is very easy to clean and holds a good amount of waste for its size. Had it about a month now and are well pleased.
