Bought them to replace an old, cheap pair for gaming and general use. They are quite different as follows:- build quality: they feel light and 'plasticky', but I believe that's to aid during long sessions. It doesn't feel the sturdiest but it's not gonna break either. Definitely not heavy after many hours.- fit: they don't have a headband, rather two pastic bits that rest on the top of yur head. I did not have problems since the first time I've used them but you might not like them. I do not like the sort of headphones with a thick, heavy band on top of your head, they tend to weigh and tire me after an hour or so. This system however does a great job,not a single complaint and I was pleasantly surprised after being very skeptical about them.- sound quality: I'm NOT an audiophile nor I am an expert in audio whatsoever. However, they are hands down the best sounding headphones I've used after my M50x, period. The open back is great and opens up a new dimension in gaming (and not only there to be honest). You can perceive directions much more easily and the sound is more "natural". There is some bleeding and people are going to hear what you are listening to if they really pay attention. Another great thing is the fact you can hear sounds around you. However, if you are in a noisy enviroment the headphones won't shield a thing. It's great if you still want to be aware of your surroundings i.e. somebody knocking on your door or if the kids wake up,- mic quality: good, loud and clear. There's some static but doen't interfere with its job.In conclusion this is a great pair of headphones, light and great sounding with a comfortable fit. I would recommend them without hesitation.BIG DISCLAIMER: I purchased them for £110 during a lightning deal or something. I have been tracking the price for some months and I believe this price to be the best. It's incredible they used to be sold at £250+. £100-£150 is a good price but they can still be expensive for some.

This is THE headset you want to buy if you're serious about gaming/streaming.It's open-air, meaning there will be some sound leak as a sacrifice for more a more natural sound profile, and the microphone isn't sensitive enough to pick up on its own sound which is great. You can adjust the microphone settings through "Windows Sound" system settings, but I've found it best to just keep it as it is. It feels sturdy when you put it on your head, it doesn't feel like cheap plastic or anything and the ear-cups are large enough to even cover my dumbo-sized ears.At original RRP (£300) these still felt like they were worth the price. Eventually the price will drop and if you can find it for even near half the price, they're a complete steal. If you want to make full use of them, buy yourself a headphone amplifier too. It will vastly increase the sound quality of what you're hearing and will actually help you in games too because you can hear footsteps easier etc. It almost makes you feel dirty with how much of an advantage you can get.If you're playing for long periods of time, you wont get uncomfortable. If you want a full headset including microphone, you cannot go wrong with this microphone quality without buying a standalone microphone and even then, the difference is minimal. This is good, I like it.Five Stars.Review for: Audio-Technica ATH-ADG1X High-Fidelity Open-Air Gaming Headset

I had trouble finding a good quality gaming headset that made it feel like I got my money's worth. Most of them are cheaply built with obvious areas of improvement which the manufacturer seems to not care about. The microphone being a trend among these items that need improving. If you are getting into streaming and need a good quality microphone, or just want the perfect headset to match your PC, then look no further. Both the mic and sound quality on this headset are flawless and perfect for gaming. It will blow your mind how light these are on your head making then so much comfortable then other choices.I personally think the open back design looks amazing however this comes with a trade-off of having a sound leak (only really matters when talking to friends and can be worked around just by turning the volume down slightly or with a noise gate). The only area where these could be improved was the volume slider/mute switch, which feels like they just added it in last minute. The volume spikes up quite sharply towards the end of the volume slider and the mute switch feels quite cheap.I have also test these on PS4 and they do the job just as well. You will NOT be disappointed however you use these.I recommend a sound card as well if you don’t have a premium motherboard with one built in already.

So first off let's just say that the sound quality on these headphones is incredible, not super bassy for all you dnb fans but good clean bass with incredibly clear mids and highs, awesome for games like pubg. The Mic is of very good quality the clarity is outstanding and everyone in my party commented on how much better my voice was compared to my other gaming headset. They are supprsingly comfortable aswell the wing system is very unique and not for everyone but for my big head it was great. But there are some drawbacks to these headphones, the main one being price, i paid £279 for mine and for a headset in my opinion that's steep. Also for the price the overall build quality, look and feel of the headset is quite bad. The rails running over the top are plastic and seem quite cheap. On the other hand I have dropped these all the over the place and havent got a scratch never mind broken. One thing you will see often is the complaints about the mute and volume switch which to be fair is horrible but not a deal breaker. Also a quick note these headphones really benefit from using an amp to power them, it really pushes they hard and brings out the best, but it's not a must if you don't like your games deafining like I do.

As the title says, the headphones themselves are really good quality. The sound is great and has good amount of base. They also are very comfortable, which is a big deal for me, since I wear glasses and my old headphones pressed down on them, causing discomfort. The microphone, on the other hand, I am still unsure about. It definitely sounds considerably different (to me) than my old mic and my friend's mics do, but I am not sure if it's better or worse. In a way, it sounds a bit more muffled, but that could also be the distance and position relative to my mouth, which actually matters a lot with this one. My friends say it sounds good, and one of them said it even sounds better than my old one,so they bought the headset themselves, so it might just be me. One thing to mention is that when I record my voice with the microphone, listening back to different kinds of headphones or speakers sounds different, so I assume the mic has way more base / treble(?), so the output gets affected depending on the quality of the playback device.Overall: The headphones are really great sounding and comfortable, and the microphone will be good for majority of people

Ok first of all i am going to go over the negatives, as stated in the many reviews online, there are no accessories eg no case etc. just the headphone, and a really cheap ali)express-like extension cable. The volume control... well there isnt any until you reached the last millimeter of the volume rocker. Then it blasts full volume instantly. Worst controller i have ever owned. That is really a no- go at this price point. The head band is a bit awkward, but you get used to it very fast and after a while its like the headset isn't even there. They are really that comfortableThat being said. Once you hook them up on a headphone amp/dac they sound amazing.Best sounding headset i have ever owned.mid and highs are really clear, low end is a bit absent but you can easily add some serious bass with any equalizer.I wouldn't recommend them at retail price due to the build quality, i got them at 80 quid an that is a real bargain.Would buy them again instantly

Been using this headset for over a week now. I am very happy with it. The cups are a bit on the small side but it does go over my ears. The cups are memory foam and is great for comfort. The clamping force I would say is a medium to small. However the padding for the top of the head is s little too light and I get a bit sore on top of my head after long sessions. The sound is great, combined with an EQ you can get real good clarity and thumping bass if you want.the mic is great and working well with my sound monitoring. Quite clear sound on the mic. The mic is detachable and it is easy to remove (a bit too easy) and unfortunately sound travels quite easy up the cord that attached to the cup. This headset is not noise cancelling. It is noise blocking. But it does not block out everything.

Everything is really good about this headset, the sound, the wireless range (about 4-5m) and the feel are all really nice but, I have one issue (its a big one for me). While charging the headset, I find the charging cable falling out of the headset socket far to often for it to be a human error. The slightest movement and the cable will come out and fall onto your lap, which is frustrating and I not seen anyone else talk about this so I thought I would. It could be a damaged slot (This has always happened since I got the headset) but I thought I'd talk about it anyway.Great headset but the one issue is stopping me from giving it 5*

Great sound for the price. really detailed. positional awareness is on point. mic sounds really good for a wireless pair. the mic monitor feature is very useful for making me able ot hear myself and not shout at the mic. its light weight, built well, very comfortable. best wireless gaming headset i have tried to date. battery life could be improved though. it last up to 16 hours ish not a lot with competitors like hyperx going up to 30. its fine if you rremember to charge evry 2 nights. the charging takes 7 hours to fully charge the heasdset. woulld suggest leaving it charged when sleeping. Great amazing and worth it

Firstly : I have just receive the set today, it looks cheap built was going to send back but had to try it first and found that its comfortable.Secondly : plugged in and wanted to see the bass so I turned a music on, I felt i am in a night club the bass is amazing, didnt expect that, then jumped in to teamspeak to test the mic with mates they said much more better than before then logged into game and you feel like u actually in game its a great headset I hope it will last long.Thirdly: I would recommend the set if you like to feel proper sound in game or music.

Been searching for an upgrade to my HyperX Cloud Flights for a while now and every headset I pick up ends up being too tight, or the hinges are squeaky, or the sound ends up tinny. This headset is an absolute godsend. It's even more comfy than the Flights I was using, sound is immaculate, build is steady/strong and the mic is crisp as hell.Only downside I've had so far is the buttons on the headset could be a little bigger, but once I've had it for a while, I doubt it'll stay an issue for me.100% recommend these over any other headset I've used.

The sound stage on these ar amazing. I had a Pai of the PC 360 and was very hesitant to change headphones. WOW these blew me away. Absolutely fantastic. The details in sound are just amazing. Especially in FPS games. Be warned that you need a decent amp or sound card to drive these to take full advantage.Only criticism is that the mic mute and volume on a devise with such a quality feels a bit cheap. But to be fair I never use it as all.Great gaming headset and worth every penny.

12.1.2020

Build quality is better than expected for their surprisngly light weight. The volume control and cables could arguably be better quality. Most importantly don't expect to plug these into a cheap sound source and get the best quality - ideally you need an amplifier or a good sound card, these drivers are incredibly good. The microphone is also incredibly good quality and very clear. Well worth £150

26.10.2016

This headset is so sick , its a little bit overkill for the price to be honest but I think its worth it if you got the money , I am currently using this headset for competitive gaming for cs go and overwatch, the footsteps is so accurate and preciseif you have the money go for it if not go for a Dt 990 pro 250 ohm its very nice for its price but you must get a dac & amp with it.

Audio technica is one of the top audio brands on the market for audiophile headphones and this headset is nothing less than excellent. Came from using the Hyper X Cloud 2 and the sound quality with this is next level. From listening to high quality music to Gaming this does everything very well. Microphone is real good quality as told by friends on discord and teamspeak.
