Having never played an Armored core game previously i wasnt really sure what to expect and gambled £30+ of my hard earned cash on it.After a reasonable intro etc and many menus ( somewhat overwhwelming ) I finally settled into the game, This is definately not a "charge and blast game", logic and planning are definately the order of the day. Run and gun means death and a swift death at that, you will probably die many times before discovering the best way to overcome/ flank the enemies and find yourself replaying some of the training levels to earn cash to upgrade the many hundreds ( possible thousands ) of guns/arms/legs to improve your A.C ( Mech ) . When in a real battle the action is fast and hard ,you need to be on your toes at all times, at some point into one of the levels i thought i had neared the end, turned a corner in quite a relaxed manner and paid dearly for it ! needless to say i have to play that section again.I Havent tried the online play yet as my mech is way too wimpy to engage in onine combat at the moment, online play means you must create / join a team and the risks for trying to take another teams area are high , you dont just lose the game, you lose valuable team points etc ( which i presume means your earned cash etc as well, not sure so if i am wrong feel free to correct me ). I would imagine this game could take you into months and months to complete it , especially if your a platinum trophy hunter etc. ( unless of course yourve played previous installments and play for 8 hours a day )The possibilities of customizing your mech are scary ! virtually limitless colours/designs etc can be used, it will probably take weeks if not months to get your A.C looking just the way you like it.All in , i havent enjoyed a game this much in a long time ( I play A LOT of games ) definately a keeper for me, all in all , very challenging , good ( i wouldnt say great ) graphically, control seems very good and the shooting is accurate. no known glitches or bugs yet, as mentioned i cant comment on the online play, maybe someone else will. Dont buy this if your after a quick sitdown and play game, you need a lot of time to put into it to reap any reward .

Took a while to arrive but definitely worth it.I've always enjoyed mecha-themed games and this is a definite improvement from ACIV.Long-time fans of the AC franchise will not be disappointed, it definitely brings everythingyou'd want to the table. Although it does feel lacking in some places for example theequipment does feel a little constrained and limited.Online is pretty much required so if you're looking for a game you can enjoy offline thisprobably won't be it. Don't misunderstand me, it does have a single-player and optionalmissions but the majority of it will be online, so teamwork and a bit of socializing with thecommunity is needed to get your money's worth. For those of you lookingto platinum the game - which there always are - this game is apretty simple platinum and easily accomplished if you put your mind to it.All in all a good game and worth the money, you can't really go wrong at this price.I don't recommend it if you dislike team games or working with other people but if thatdoesn't bother you go ahead.

This Game plus the 4 answer series (which has nothing to do with the review in anyway XD ) is the awesome for those who loves the idea of a man to pilot the Custom mecha of choice....Customizable parts added with online content of being an operator...... Sounds like a simulation for an actual war veteran to control states and actual mecha pilots and issue orders via microphones....Storyline isn't bad - tad good - but it doesn't throw in the "awe" factor...It would be awesome if Armored Core 7 will be based on a brilliant storyline about a 13 year old -God Worshiping child, not known to the world created his own mecha.....13 year old scientist .... XDAnd pilots the thing.....calls into the micro phone and yells "you people are so mean" and other pilots and enemy pilots wonder in asunder "What the, is that a child???"Awesome idea eh?

This is a game for mech fans, the construction of mechs and the balance between the three damage types is simple enough for other gamers to have a go with and understand but hard to master. Story is quite unforgiving, oddly written and has a difficulty curve more confusing than a mario kart rainbow race track. The multiplayer feels quite cool but it is quite hard to get into a ranking or conquest match, you require a large amount of points in your team to even attempt it so it is slow paced. The order matches are cool but can be very easy and follow about 7 or so simple mission formats.I enjoy this game because of the time spent to construct a mech and the satisfaction of seeing it dominatenumerous battlefields and the enjoyment of fighting another mech that plays perfectly my mechs weaknesses. This is not a pick up and play like CoD.

As a fan of the series, I knew what I was getting into. You pilot an AC (Armored Core), customise your weapons and then go into battle fulfilling mission objectives. There is a wide range of weapons to choose from as well as "Heads" to detect enemies and "Legs" to carry your weight. You need to be careful what you combine as the smallest change makes a huge difference and gives you the winning advantage. It arrived quickly, mint condition. Overall, a great game.

Love the series. AC4 took the franchise to new hights (literally) and ACV takes it back to basics with great visuals, fastpaced solid gameplay mechanics and brings a new level to the Emblem design (seriously). The mechs are smaller than previous versions but they manage to keep the feel of being inside a powerful giant robot suit that would use tanks as rollerskates. A must have for Mecha Fans

customisation is in depth, mechs look awesome. a good addition to the series but let down on online as no one plays this online anymore.great game but falls short of its potential due to lack of real players!

I honestly think the gameplay on the second game from PS1 was the best. I bought this looking for that style but was disappointed. The boosters don't work properly and you can't fly like before.
